About this property

River Front & Lake View - Don't miss this ideal year round getaway!

Located on Indian River, with a short jaunt out to Burt Lake, or less than a one minute walk to DeVoe Public Beach, this 2 story home is the ideal spot for families or groups of friends any time of the year. A sprawling deck and patio with fire pit and grill, and a yard leading to the river will provide all the relaxation and amenities you need from your home away from home. **FIrepit is not available for use in the winter season**
There is 60 feet of river frontage available for docking your boat.
There is a first floor master bedroom with full bath, additional first floor bedroom, half bath, and three bedrooms, one full bath on the second floor that will allow plenty of space for groups. Two king beds and five queen beds are available in the home.

The home also comes with five Smart TV's (no cable, but streaming services available on the Smart TV), wifi, full amenities in the kitchen, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. Blankets and pillows are provided at no charge, towels and linens are provided for an additional $150. If you would like to bring your own towels and linens, there is no additional charge.

There is a living room, a dining area that seats 8, a kitchen island with additional seating, as well as tables w/chairs on the deck and patio. The gas grill and/or charcoal grill is also available for use.

We have a commercial ice machine available at no charge. No more costly trips to get ice for your coolers! **Ice machine is not available in the winter**

Air conditioning is available in the summer.

No smoking or pets in the home.


The Indian River Area:
For fishing, kayaking on the lake or Sturgeon River, hiking and biking trails, local golf courses, Petoskey and Odawa Casino Resort and St. Ignace with Kewadin Casino; the famous Cross in the Woods Shrine and with some of Michigan's best groomed snowmobile and cross country ski trails, Indian River is at center of all that makes Northern Michigan an ideal vacation destination and your home away from home. Indian River, named after the river which flows through it, connects Burt Lake and Mullett Lake along the Inland Waterway. Conveniently located off I-75, 25 miles south of the Mackinaw Bridge, Indian River is a place that visitors of all ages will find so much to enjoy throughout the entire year.

For winter activities, snowmobiles are available for rental in town through Burt Lake Marina and Indian River Sports Center.

Nub's Nob Ski Resort and Boyne Mountain Resort are nearby for your skiing and boarding enjoyment.

For water and boating enthusiasts, pontoons and jet skis are available hourly, daily and weekly from 4 local marinas:

This was our family’s 3rd year staying here. The house has everything we needed, super clean, and the location is perfect. It’s the best of both worlds having the view of both the lake and the river. The lake breeze and sunsets are amazing. Being able to park our boat right on the dock made it so convenient. And we loved walking and riding bikes into town for ice cream, coffee or a beer. We had a fabulous vacation week!

Great Location close to beach

This is our second visit here and the place works out great for our family vacation. Kitchen is well stock as we ate all of our meals in except for one during our stay. Home is located one house away from park and beach, so easy to get to. Plenty of room to sleep for our group of nine.

Fun location

Very nice home with great location to the inland waterway. Indian River is a fun little town. Bear River sports has awesome old school Mini golf and a fun ATV tour. Only had one issue come up with the house and owner addressed it ASAP. The family is already talking about wanting to come back here again.

This is our third time staying at this property. As in the past everything was great. The house handled all 13 of us and the kids enjoyed staying in one room together. The views from the deck and dock were great and bonfires were awesome. Would highly recommend this property!

Summer Get Away

This cottage is a perfect location for our 3 daughters and their adult children. Many activities take place during the week with Boarting being the prime one. Bicycling, golf, kayaking and eating ice cream top the list.

Great location for family vacation

House is located right on the river with easy access to Burt Lake and short walk to Beach/Park. Plenty room indoor and lots of outdoor seating. Rented a pontoon boat for the week and had plenty of room to dock it behind the house. Nice dock area with table and chairs and benches. Would definitely go back again in the future. Had minor issue with some of the bed linens, but it was quickly resolved by the owners.

Good time had by All.

The location worked well for boating, biking, kayaking swimming and fishing. We were a family of 12 from 3 generations. The cottage and grounds were extremely well kept. Being a family of Michigan State Spartans, it was somewhat difficult flying The Ohio State University flag for the week.

Quick stay - used for extra housing at Christmas

Everything was very nice. We really only slept here and ate breakfast as our family has a home in the area. This was used for extra bedrooms. Very clean, and modern, right on the river and in town. I have had issues with VRBOs canceling on me and right from the start I had interaction with the property and felt good about the reservation. Highly recommend.

Family Vacation

This is a very family friendly rental!! It has a wonderful kitchen for cooking n gathering. The outdoor space is spectacular! Family bonfires sharing stories and reminiscingand somoresThe location is fabulous for boating, kayaking or tubing in river or lakes. Beach is just steps away! Close to town n grocery store. Lots of options for day trips: Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, City of Petoskey, etc. Watch out for upstairs' bathroom floor tile very SLIPPERY!!

Great location and house has everything you need.

Only a couple complaints. The price per night should be changed to better reflect the cleaning fee and the service fee. Large fees charged after booking and we would have likely chosen other location.

Wonderful property!

The property is at the mouth of Indian river right by the public beach and pier leading out to Burt Lake. It was easy to keep our boat along the wall, the property was very clean, and had enough space for two families of six. The first floor is updated very nice, the second floor could use a little updating but we were really only up there to sleep so that is not worthy of losing a star. Kitchen was well stocked though I might update some pots as they have a lot of scratches in the bottom. We loved every minute of the location and the property.
