About this property

Enjoy listening to the waves of the ocean while sitting on your deck, sipping your favorite beverage, or hanging out on one of three outside seating areas.

Ocean Sounds Cottage has a fully fenced yard and is two houses from the Tolomato River where you will enjoy the most beautiful sunsets. It's just a three block walk to North Beach on the very special Barrier Island town of Vilano.

We have the perfect spot for the best of both world vacation...a beach that is close...Publix is a mile a way...great restaurants nearby...looking for excitement? just cross the bridge and head to downtown St. Augustine...St. George Street has a plethora of things to do for everyone. Or head to the Alligator Farm, which is so much more than alligators! The best part is when you are done, you cross our bridge back to Vilano, to a view like no other and before you know it you are back in paradise. We call it the quiet side vs all the excitement you might want!

This coastal cottage was a captains quarters at a military base. It has been remodeled to capture the charm of the historic home. The vaulted ceilings create an open feel, with a skylight in the living room adding to the airy feel.

If you enjoy coffee, we offer French Press, Kuerig, and Mr, Coffee. Locally ground coffee is provided for our French Press, and we offer many Kuerig options.
The outdoor shower is a guest favorite with hot and cold water. Bathrobes are also available.

A Bluetooth speaker is in the kitchen ceiling...it's easy to sync your phone to listen to your favorite music. There is also a television in each of the bedrooms, as well as the living room.

We have many amenities that we hope you will appreciate, including toiletries, beach gear, baby gear, and a fully stocked kitchen, including pots, pans, utensils, spices, and basic cooking needs. If you stay with us, be sure to check out our supplies before shopping. And of course, please reach out if you are looking for something in particular.

We also love fur babies! We have a doggie door, treats, and other supplies.

We do have a security camera that faces the driveway. It is located on the fence. This is the only device we have.

Truly enjoyable experience!

My family and I adored this home in Vilano Beach. I was pleasantly surprised with how much thought was put into making sure all our little needs would be provided for. My eldest is still raving about the tea collection. We loved that the beach was super accessible, and that sunsets on the river were mere steps away. I absolutely adored the fire pit area, hidden away from the hustle and bustle. We would definitely stay in this property again.

Quiet close to the beach

This place had tons of little extras. Quiet. 3 Blocks from the beach and 10 mins to St. Augustine. Would definitely stay again.

I live in Maine with my husband, 3 dogs and a cat. We bought this cozy cottage and will be spending time here in Vilano at times. When we are back in Maine, we would like to share it with others. Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Vilano Beach a few years ago when we started renting for 3 months during the winter months. We knew we wanted to live here eventually and we fell in love with this cottage! The neighborhood is quiet and we live on a dead end road so we don't get a lot of traffic.

What makes this property unique

This is a great chance to stay near the beach at a reasonable cost. We offer many amenities that most do not. Your pets can join you and you can feel reassured with our completely fenced in yard...we even have a doggie door! St. Augustine beaches are pet friendly, so they can also walk on the beach with you. Vilano Beach is quiet, and I am sure you will fall in love with it just like we have.
