Please tell about yourselves, your reasons for coming to Oakland and at what time you will arrive. There is a 28 min Orientation on arrival before going into the apt so, all Guest must arrive together. Check in is Noon to 4 pm
Comfortable ground level apartment in "hip" Temescal area of Oakland. Three bedrooms with double beds, each with desks and overstuffed chair and closet. Small deck. Small hang out area, large all new kitchen with dishwasher, micro, gas stove, frig, hanging pan rack and dining table. Decks.. Building is a six unit Victorian, but this unit is new and not "victorian". Bathroom has large sink top and mirror, tub with shower. Very strong water pressure. Floors are carpeted, tile in kitchen and bathroom. Includes utility, wifi, and one off-street parking spot. It is a commercial area, but is generally quiet at night.
Historic Temescal Village with shops and cafes, including Peets Coffee House and 24/7 Walgreens, is one block. BART (subway) is 7-10 min walk. Easy to Berkeley, downtown Oakland, San Francisco and greater Bay Area. Two blocks to auto rental. Close to Alta Bates, Sutter, Kaiser and Children's Hospitals. Sorry no pets. Max stay is 28 nights.

I am a long time rental property owner with many long term rentals but rent Casa Bella short term because the grounds are in my "compound" and I like turn over.
When you arrive there is a 30 minute "orientation" to which all ALL guests need to participate. It is important. Problems with vacation guest have generally been with those who did not participate in the orientation. Always try to fly into Oakland International - way easier and faster than SF, which is a good hour drive when traffic is light. I don't do night time check in - so if you are landing late at the airport - it is a good idea to stay the first night at the airport.

Why they chose this property
Casa Bella is in my personal compound.. My house is separate. I have chickens and geese in my small yard. Inside I have cats and two small dogs. I have other rentals near by that are all unfurnished, yearly leases. I prefer turn over here. Casa Bella is good for short term because of it's great location - everything is right here. From time to time there are events in the Historic Temescal Village - which is one block away.
There is one parking space in the parking lot - no trucks. If you have more than one vehicle the second would have to park on the street and which is less safe for cars. However, it is easy to be here without a car. The BART - subway - is 7-10 min walk. Lots of buses and a rental car lot 2 blocks away. Historic Temescal Village with lots of shops and cafes is just one block. This IS a commercial area.
