Enjoyed the house and accomodations. Great location for meeting up with family for day trips together. We will look for this property again when back in the area. Thanks
The property owner was very congenial and helpful. Absolute gem of a person. Specifically with the pet fee that had been overlooked which was handled quickly without the management company, Evolve. I will not book another property managed by Evolve. The non-stop calls, text messages, and emails. Sending unverified payment links outside of the Vrbo messaging portal was unprofessional and took the majority of our first day on vacation to manage. Their communication efforts along with poorly managed payment process that puts the consumer at risk is without a doubt the worst experience I’ve had with Vrbo. Again, I will not book a property manager by evolve again.
House was good, gravel drive was not good, bed was too soft, there was no yard, the outside was overgrown. The home, itself, met our expectations, the location was not ideal.
Beware when booking…the pictures and descriptions are inaccurate and out dated. The house needs extensive repairs and updates and the host (Evolve Management) did NOTHING to resolve the issues when we reached out. The house has mold on the ceilings and walls, kitchen cabinet doors not properly attached (literally not attached at the bottom), mildew and grime in the shower and bathroom, porch ceiling falling down and leaking, weed covered parking area, duck taped hvac system, mattresses and pillows that need replaced, broken wood stove … the list goes on and on! There are tons of cameras and angels in every window. It provides a feeling that the house is not in a safe area and needs protection.

Thank you for your feedback. We love our remote forest location, though a dense wooded setting means natural outdoor elements and wildlife, which is why we utilize outdoor security cameras. While our home could comfortably accommodate extra guests, this specific guest did not disclose the number of people who would be occupying the home during their stay. Per Evolve's vacation rental policies, all guests must be pre-registered prior to checking in. We want to reassure future guests that our home's interior is clean and completely free of mold, though the exterior walls naturally face forest elements.
As the primary lodging option in this secluded area, we take pride in offering an incredibly affordable group rate compared to a standard hotel. Our unique nature getaway comes complete with peaceful decor and adjustable beds. We address all upkeep promptly, including a corner porch leak and a minor aesthetic tape fix on the A/C unit behind the laundry door. We have extended a discount.
We loved the location as it was close to Lake Jocassee, while being secluded. However, the entire house seemed to have mold on the walls and ceilings and there were a lot of cobwebs and dust. The house needs a deep clean and air circulation when it’s empty. The ceiling on the back porch needs to be fixed too. We still enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time.

Hi Kimberly, we’re happy to hear you enjoyed the location—offering both proximity to the lake and a sense of seclusion. We’ve been actively working to address your concerns and truly appreciate your feedback. Thank you for choosing to stay with us; we look forward to exceeding your expectations on your next visit!
House was as described and very clean. It had everything that we needed. Easy check-in/out. Lots of hiking nearby but need to drive a ways to go out to dinner (nothing "right around the corner"). If you are looking for a quiet getaway to just relax and maybe do some hiking, this is perfect. Only wish the description included that there is a steep, gravel road to get to the home as we would have taken a different car. Our minivan made it up the hill but would have preferred having the older SUV instead.
Nice property beautiful home. we had the absolute best time much needed get away. it is quiet and secluded. sort of a bumpy ride to the property
