Gorgeous location on Lake Champlain with all the creature comforts of home. House was as advertised. No surprises and everything worked great. We stayed there for a long weekend of ice fishing. Caught four species of fish right out in front of cottage - Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Yellow Perch. Drove our snowmobile right out onto the ice from the cottage - so convenient. The large sunny porch was awesome for keeping all our ice fishing gear so we didn’t have to track it into the house. Overall five stars from us.
Amazing and cozy home on the lake fully equipped with everything you might need for a stay away from home. Our family enjoyed 5 great days relaxing, swimming, kayaking and playing on the large lawn next to the house. We loved our mornings having coffee on the screened in porch. The beds were so comfortable in all of the rooms. Our kids said this was their favorite vacation ever!

Thank you ever so much! We are so glad that your family made special memories and we hope you’ll come again :-)
From the minute we arrived until the time we left we enjoyed this property and all it's amenities immensely. Even when a septic/plumbing issue popped up, the owners were super responsive and the problem was fixed within a timely manner. We can not recommend this property enough for any family wanted to stay on beautiful Lake Champlain

Thank you Kelly! We are so glad that you stayed with us and hope you’ll come again one day. We truly appreciated your patience as we worked to resolve the plumbing issue :-)
Beautiful house and location. Very comfortable with a great lake view right on the water. Close enough to Montreal to get to a concert for the evening !
We had a lakefront view of the total solar eclipse! Enjoyed the views of the Adirondack Mtns from the comfy enclosed porch - wonderful accommodations, nice beach area as well. Looking forward to a return visit!
We booked this home because of it's location - perfect for paddling and biking - and we weren't disappointed.

Alburgh getaway
We had a wonderful time at this property. The house is amazing, so clean and bright. We loved the screened-in sun porch and the close proximity to the water, great views, quiet area. Host was quick to respond to our questions. We will be returning. We highly recommend this rental!
Amazing place! Very clean and well stocked, quiet area. comfortable beds, kayaks to use. Absolutely loved the screen-in porch. Photos shown in description are exactly what is there. Definitely would recommend this rental. We will be back for sure.
Great location. Spacious accomodations. Well equiped rental, for adults and small children. Due to the weather conditions, some algea on the beach, but eh, Mother Nature should have the last word. We would return anytime!
We were looking for a private, lakefront cottage with amenities, such as a full kitchen, W/D, and extras like kayaks. This cottage hit it all and was plenty of room for our family of four. We spent many days and nights on the screened in porch and on the beach enjoying the water and admiring the view. We are very grateful to the owners for sharing their family cottage. Perfect get-away!
Nicely accommodating for our family of 8. We cooked our meals..( kitchen is well stocked with utensils), we enjoyed boating and kyaking, skipping stones and just relaxing at home away from home. Its nothing fancy but comfortable! And the view of the lake right outside the screened in porch is wonderful!!!... One Day we drove about an hour away and rented bikes and biked the burlington trail and out onto the causeway!! Very worthwhile!! Thanks for this great place to stay on our visit.
Overall the stay was great, the house was what we expected and had an the essentials already there, super convenient. Biggest disappointment was the beach, it looked great in the pictures but wasn't sandy and had all kinds of debris from work on the property and stuff washing ashore from the lake. I'm sure it probably has to do with the season and the wind with how nice the beach is, but it didn't seemed like it had been maintained this year yet, we were hoping to be down on the beach the whole Vaca but ended up only walking down to it once. Other than that which is the main reason we booked this property it was fine.
PROS: We enjoyed our stay at Camp Fancy Nancy. The private beach allowed us to relax while swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing in Lake Champlain. The house was easy to get to and GPS took us right there! Our family enjoyed multiple rounds of Skip-Bo that were included in the games at the house. We also enjoyed collecting sea glass as a family on the beach! CONS: While the house was clean we experienced a lot of carpenter ants in the house, daily. Also, when we first arrived to the house, the beach had 3 large dead fish. While we understand it’s a lake and things wash up, the smell of decaying fish was a small turn off and unfortunately we had to smell it the whole time we were there as the waves wash directly towards the beach house which wash up dead fish, seaweed and other things. We also would have loved to have more lawn games to play on the large yard. We ended up going into the next town and buying lacrosse to go with the football and badminton racket/birdie. Corn hole and/or ladder ball would be a great addition to have to keep kids/families entertained.

From the owner: "Oh no! We are so very sorry about the fish issue! I do have a caretaker right nearby who would have been there within hours to address the problem. My contact info is in the Lake House notes, but I will be sure my number is more visible to guests should any concerns arise. The lawn games are a wonderful suggestion, and we will make more options available for our guests in the future. Thank you for your feedback."
Our family wanted to stay on a lake somewhere. Searching Vrbo, we found this great place. The lake was clean and refreshing. The rooms were big and comfortable. We would most definitely come back here again.
The location and the home were perfect for me and my adult children. Right on the lake with A private beach, kayaks, Adirondack chairs, fire wood and a kitchen stocked with everything you would need made this a perfect vacation spot! The owners were great to work with too!
