Beach visit
The apartment was clean and location was fantastic. Walking to coffee shops, dinner, the beach and more. Jana, the host rep, as very responsive and helpful.
Centrally located and very clean. The bedding was super comfortable. Host was easily reachable. Outside noise could be an issue so light sleepers should bring earplugs, especially if someone is sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room. Saturday mornings there is a yard sale on the front lawn in front of the apartment that starts setting up at 6am. Several fun coffee shops and restaurants are walking distance, great location!
This was actually our second stay at this place in Carpinteria. It’s super clean, comfortable, and has an awesome shower. The kitchen is a little small but it’s clean and nicely done. I definitely recommend this historic place!

Perfect location to walk the entire town. Beach, restaurants and shopping within a minute to five to the beach. Can’t wait to go back!
Great location and the historic home is beautiful……everything is within walking distance…..beach, store, pubs, and great restaurants……we can’t wait to go back………..
Carpinteria is such a chill and beautiful town we really enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to the beach was our favorite. You're just a street away from restaurants and entertainment. Would definitely stay here again.

Spacious and clean. Enjoyed the stay. Walking distance to the beach
We travel to Carpinteria a few times a year from LA, it’s a great place to visit and not too far, this home is in a great location , so much stuff is walking distance, eateries shopping and the beach. The home is very nice and plenty of room for a small family. We will be staying again soon!
My wife and two kids, aged 7 and 13, loved the house and location. Plenty of room for the four of us and the location is centrally located for east walking distance to shops and restaurants.
We will rent there again.
We stayed for 3 nights. Great neighborhood, walking distance to the beach, markets and several eateries. The place is newly remodeled and very nice. Spacious and comfortable. We will be back again!
The house was everything we expected. It was beautiful and nice to have a separate living area and kitchen from the bedroom. It felt like a home away from home. Our little get-away was just perfect. I will definitely stay here again. Already looking forward to my next vacation here. Thank you for such a beautiful place to stay.
The property was actually more spacious than I was expecting. It was very clean and so charming. It’s a historical home that has been renovated into 3 different apartments and I think they did a good job with layout and finishes. The location is so great. Right near Linden and next door to Smart and Final. We walked and rode bikes everywhere. We would absolutely come back here again.

Noisy and not comfy
I thought the picture of the property was charming and the location just off the Main Street, ideal. Sadly, the experience was just not ok. Biggest issue: the gas station next door. The sound of motorcycles and large loud trucks pulling in late at night and early in the morning meant I couldn't get a decent sleep, despite the nice bed. To me - that's everything. Other smaller issues: can't open the window shades unless you want people on the sidewalk looking directly into the bedroom. Same with front room. So, no privacy. Dark wood floors have no carpeting, so they're really cold at night. Same with the tile on the floor in the bathroom, one mat only for the shower, otherwise ice cold. Finally, no hot water on day 2 of a 3 day stay. It lasted the remaining 24 hours. Would not recommend a stay here to anyone.

Hi Heather, we appreciate your feedback, and we are committed to providing an excellent experience for our guests. Here are some insights from the homeowner:
-First and foremost, it's important to note that during this guest's stay, they did not reach out to management to report any of the issues they mentioned. Unfortunately, this meant we were not aware of the issues and thus unable to address them promptly. Before their arrival, the guest was provided with management's direct phone number and email, both of which were available for them to communicate any concerns.
-Regarding the hot water, we were surprised to learn of any issues as there were no reports during the guest's stay. Our management was present on the property and did not observe any issues, and other guests staying in different units at the same time did not encounter any hot water problems either.
-Our property's central location in the heart of town is often a highlight for our guests. While this can result in some traffic noise during peak hours, we have not received complaints about noise disturbances during quieter times. Additionally, we take pride in the historic charm of our property, particularly the large windows on the first floor, which many guests have admired during their stays. To ensure privacy, we have provided high-quality shades and blinds, and we would have been happy to offer the guest a transfer to the quieter back unit had we known about their concerns.
-The unit is equipped with central heating that guests can control within their unit. We are more than willing to provide extra bath mats upon request, although guests are welcome to utilize the abundance of towels we provide as an alternative mat solution.
-We always strive to address any requests or concerns our guests may have to ensure they have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. However, we rely on open communication from our guests to identify and resolve any issues they may encounter.
Our commitment to all our guests is to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests as evidenced in all other reviews.
Stayed at this place for two nights for a local tournament my son was in. Centrally located, walking distance to restaurants and great interior space. Could not have been happier!! Totally recommend if you are staying Carpentaria.
