Tucked away down a private dirt road, this spacious retreat features 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths on more than 2 acres. The home is located approximately one mile from three private beaches, only accessible to Aquinnah residents. It is the perfect combination of beauty and privacy.

The home was recently renovated and has brand new furniture throughout the house, a beautiful deck that extends the entire back of the home and a large outdoor shower. The home is complete with a large kitchen, formal dining room and living rooms on each of its three levels. Children can play or watch movies upstairs while the adults have a dinner party downstairs. There's plenty of room for visiting friends and family. For guests who enjoy beach reading or renting movies, the Aquinnah library is less than a five minute walk from the home.

Watch the sunset on the large deck off the main level via sliding doors or on the walk out patio where there's a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Don't forget this property gives you access to exclusive Philbin beach with the purchase of a beach pass.

Amazing Vineyard Experience!

Exactly what was offered/presented! Very roomy and cozy at the same time.

Loved our experience. Owners could not have been more friendly and communicative. Anytime I had a question it was answered immediately. No complications whatsoever. Would love to come back. It’s lots of people very comfortably. Great for kids because there are even toys for them to play with!! Also has a very spacious kitchen that was well equipped for cooking and entertaining. Highly recommend.

A tranquil, spacious retreat

Ryan and Amy were quick to answer any questions we had. The pictures don’t do this home justice. With 8 kids and 2 adults, this home has plenty of space. The shared spaces are roomy and easily accommodated our family. There are multiple living areas so there’s space if smaller groups or individuals want to play games or want some down time. The deck is AMAZING. It’s a short, 5 minute ride to many great beaches. These beaches were not only spectacular, but they weren’t crowded. We loved our stay here on the quiet side of the island.

Making Memories in MV

We recently stayed at Greyhob in Aquinnah, and it was an unforgettable family vacation. The location is perfect, close to some of the best beaches on Martha’s Vineyard, including Philbin Beach and Lobsterville Beach, where we enjoyed fishing, boogie boarding, and hours of relaxation. The rental itself is incredibly spacious and open, giving everyone plenty of room to spread out and enjoy themselves. The large, working kitchen was perfect for preparing lobster dinners, and the barbecue area was ideal for grilling and making s’mores, adding to the fun and family-friendly atmosphere. Our hosts were incredibly attentive and responsive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made our experience even more special. Overall, Greyhob is ideal for families looking to make lasting memories by the beach. We can’t wait to return!

Sand and Fun

It was a great house for 4 children and 4 adults. Loved the new outdoor shower, the spacious porch and back yard. The large kitchen worked very well as did the double living rooms. The owners were very responsive to questions and issues. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be out of the fray, yet close enough to beaches and some shops.

Great house but you need transportation

This house is magnificent. The only trouble we had was with SSA canceling car trips due to the pending storm. The 8 guests needed to call taxis to grocery shop or go to the beach.

Great spot

This is a great spot, in a more rural and beautiful part of the island. There is plenty of space, common areas and a great big porch and yard for outdoor activities. There are only four bedrooms with doors, so for anyone needing the fifth bedroom with a door please take note.

Relaxing and Reviving Stay

Gray Hob is an absolutely lovely getaway location on the quiet side of Martha’s Vineyard encircled by trees but so near the ocean that you can get to three different beaches by bicycle within 5-10 minutes. The owners are responsive and welcoming. The deck is magic at nighttime for cocktails with friends while the kids play below in the big sloping garden. There is an enchanting bakery just a short bike ride down the road where you can pick up fresh bread and scones in the morning. The dining room inside is lovely and inviting with a big white wooden table to gather around. Perhaps my only suggestion would be a coffee table to gather around in the otherwise cosy living room? But overall, relaxing perfection. We were two families with boys ages 8-11 and we had a blast. Thank you Amy!
