The stay was amazing. The hosts made the process of booking and finding the property very easy. The home is comfortable and makes for an easy base to explore D-Day sights and the rest of Normandy. The town is quiet and lively, making for a relaxing stay in the Normandy countryside.
We enjoyed very much this cosy house even though the weather has not allowed us to experience the massive garden outside.Clean, comfortable and rustic ambience.
This property was exactly as advertised. Communication was smooth and efficient. Roomy and comfortable. Courtyard was in bloom. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Our family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 teens - had a very nice stay in Isabel's lovely cottage. The gardens on the property are beautiful and the location is quiet and blissful. It was a great home base as we toured the sites of Normandy and the D-Day invasion.
All was in order upon arrival. Small kitchen but easy for breakfast and lunch. Nearby restaurants for dinner in Bayeux and Anselles. Quick response from owner when we had questions. Wish we had a little more time to enjoy the property.
My wife and I absolutely loved this place. When you shut the gates, it’s like you are in your own little kingdom surrounded by beautiful floral and fruit gardens. The village is quite small, but very charming. Isabel was very quick to respond to all our needs and questions.

Craig and his wife were wonderfull guests, so kind and delicate.
We'll be happy to welcome them again whenever they wish.
The situation of the house is perfect, so convenient for touring the area. The main house wasn’t occupied so we had privacy and access to the very beautiful garden. The house was very clean but felt tired and dated. The kitchen was tiny and very badly equipped, hazy glasses, not enough mugs, no pan lids, few utensils. Bedrooms were fine but again very simple, only one very thin pillow each and old looking linen.

Perfect for our family visit to Normandy
Traveling with our three young adult children and two of their friends, this lovely renovated stone building is situated in a beautiful garden with lots of space. The ping pong table under cover but outdoors, the patio and great room were ideal for hanging out with our family or for the young folks to play games and talk into the wee hours. The house is a stone's throw from the "Canadian" beaches and walking distance from a grocery store, bakery, restaurant as well as 20 minutes' pretty country drive to Bayeux. We had a wonderful time, cooked dinner one night in the compact but fully equipped kitchen and slept like babies after all the activities in stunning Normandy. We hope to be back for a longer visit another time!

Thierry and Isabel’s house was lovely and sparkling clean. Unfortunately the weather was not in our favor to have enjoyed their magnificent gardens where we could have sat to enjoy. So we took second best and admired them through the large glass windows as we had our breakfast and in the evening sipping our appertifs.
The beds were very welcoming after spending a long day combing the Beaches and enjoying Asnelles and Arramanches.
Thank you, Isabel and Thierry, for providing your lovely home. It added to our French experience.
I had a marvelous visit to this home and the Normandy area. The house was even more adorable than pictured. Thierry had great communication and was waiting to meet us on arrival, even though we had given him a wide 2 hour arrival window. He showed us how to use the gate and covered parking area, and gave a tour of the four (!) gardens on the grounds, the house, and even had a bottle of local cider and cookies out for us.
The house was beautiful: the main level had a living room, kitchen (with washing machine and dish washer), and dining area.
The second floor had (1) a massive bedroom with vaulted ceilings and a king size bed, (2) a large bedroom with 2 twin beds converted to a king, (3) another large bedroom with 2 twin beds converted to a king, (4) a small bedroom with a twin bed--likely best for a small child only, and 2 bathrooms--one with a shower, and the other with a tub with shower attachment.
Everything was clean, comfortable and lovely. My only regret is not having more time to spend here. It was an easy 10 min walk to "town" on the Anselle Normandy beach, with 1 market, a bread shop, and a restaurant (exceptional food!). We would definitely stay again.

Thank you!
After a loud weeks in Paris and London, this beautiful quiet home was a delight. The roses were gorgeous and the home exceeded description.. We found the location convenient to explore the D-day beaches. The home could not have been better. It would be important to point out the bedrooms are up a narrow staircase and not for the mobility challenged. Also, if you plan to do much cooking, plan to stop in Caen or Bayaux for provisions— the choices in Anselles are limited.
We loved everything about our stay here, just wished it had been longer. The hosts met us to go over the home and couldn’t have been more delightful. We felt spoiled having coffee in the morning in their gardens and were thrilled with walking proximity to restaurants and Gold Beach. There was a welcome gift of regional cider and local cookies which was such a thoughtful gesture not to mention delicious. Thank you for your every kindness and hospitality.

A beautiful week in Normandy.
Lovely property and plenty of room. Other than very spotty WiFi and running toilet, it was very comfortable. We appreciated the Sable cookies and cidre upon arrival as well as the amenities left for us in the kitchen. Thierry was very warm an welcoming and we would definitely make a return visit!!! Normandy is parfait!!!!

Wonderful house, wonderful hosts
The perfect home base for touring Omaha Beach, the Normandie cemetery, Arromanches, Pointe du hoc, Bayeux, and many other areas of the Normandie region. The home is large, well appointed, and has so much history. The gardens are incredible. My wife could have stayed at the home looking at them for hours. Your hosts Isabel and Thierry are so warm and friendly. Hearing their stories about the home, gardens and area was as entertaining as anything we did during our trip. Highly recommended. Oh, one thing, if you drive - and you should, as it's really the best way to view Normandie - there is parking at the home, but the driveway is a couple doors down from the front entrance to the home. It fooled us at first, but we eventually figured it out. :) A great place to stay.

Charming, beautiful slice of French country life by the sea.
Wonderful house and gardens centrally located in the Normandie region. Easy access to all the landing beaches, monuments and towns. Winding country roads lead to small towns on the sea, each charming and full of history. Each path leads to explore something unique. The house is beautiful and comfortable, well appointed with all conveniences. We spent more time outdoors in the fantastic garden than we did indoors! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to this province. Asnelles is a quiet and welcoming village, and Isabel and Thierry are gracious hosts!

Great location to explore the D-Day sites
Spent 4 nights at this fantastic restored farm house with two friends this May. We were on a guys trip to explore Normandy and the D-Day sites and enjoyed this location near Gold Beach in Asnelles. Close to Bayeux and Arromanches. The house has four bedrooms and lots of space, plus lots of outside room enclosed by stone walls. Our host Thierry met us upon arrival and was very helpful getting us settled in. Would highly recommend the house, especially for families.

Charming farmhouse conversion near landing beaches
Our group of 6 - 4 adults, 1 teen, and 1 child - had an enjoyable stay at Thierry & Isabel's lovely vacation home in Asnelles. The property itself is an old farmhouse that the owners have thoughtfully updated and modernized, with a nice assortment of new lighting fixtures and appliances. The beds are comfortable, everything worked as expected, and the grounds are lovely. The owners' summer home is adjacent on the same property; they were there during our stay and were very convivial and charming hosts.
We used the property as a jumping-off point to explore some of the nearby small French Normandy countryside towns, and to do a guided D-Day tour of Omaha Beach and surrounding areas, where one of our party's father had landed in WWII. The apartment was a convenient base - walking distance to Gold Beach, and just a short drive away from everything else. All in all, a very nice visit, thank you Thierry et Isabel!
