About this property

Beautiful secluded setting on the Rainbow River. Includes guest house with bed and bathroom. Recently renovated with new kitchen and bath, and an adjacent guest house with its own recently renovated bathroom. And two lofts for the kids. Wraparound deck, two docks, and 150 feet of waterfront. The second dock is set up for you to bring your own boat and tie up to the cleats there. Paddle boards, float tubes, and a paddle board/kayak to enjoy the crystal clear river. There's even a crystal clear spring (now dubbed Otter Spring) 25 yards from the main dock. Especially wide part of the river creates a more relaxing setting, with daily visits by the local otters. Riverside fire pit is the perfect set up for cool evenings. Add the proximity to places like the World Equestrian Center (WEC), Crystal River, Homossassa, and the Withlacoochee River, University of Florida, mountain and paved biking trails. This can be both a relaxing place to stay and the center for many activities.

Beautiful & Serene

Great location on the Rainbow River. House is well appointed with comfortable beds, appliances, and of course, water toys-mostly SUP's. Beautiful decks with chairs and a table to eat outside. Pleasant, quiet surroundings. Cycling path is a close easy drive. Stores are readily available. Fun times!

Amazing place to stay

This is our second time traveling to Rainbow River, we stayed in the same area on the river but this house was PERFECT! Great size with a large cooking area (well equipped) we cooked all meals at the house. The rooms are nice and big, including the guest house which has its own kutchen area and bathroom as well. Very quiet and perfect location on the river! We'll definitely be back!

A real gem on the Rainbow River

What a beautiful spot along the crystal clear Rainbow River! The owners met us there and showed us around, including showing us the many kayaks, floats and paddleboards for our use. It's obvious how proud they are of the house and property, and the work they've done making it comfortable and stylish. Great kitchen, well stocked! Comfortable king bed, huge double designer shower. The property is gorgeous, with two large docks with seating, and easy access to the water. We loved sitting and watching the birds and ducks. Sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking. Close to grocery stores, restaurants and anything else you'd need, but very peaceful and quiet!

Riverside Bliss

What a fantastic location with an amazing view of nothing but nature. Tons of turtles, fish, birds and river otters passing by. Lots of toys on site for river fun. Town needs better restaurants, the only negative.

About the host

Hosted by Reese

The two owner families have been paddling the Rainbow for decades. We personally Paddleboarding the Rainbow River every Friday, so we'll be dropping in just to pick up our paddleboards each Friday and drop them off after an hour or so of paddling. We love the river and typically spend a couple of months each year on the river. It's only an hour or so from our homes in Ocala.

Why they chose this property

It was the perfect size for two families, and it's on a very quiet bend of the river with state property adjacent to the north side and across the river. Its extremely private, with a couple of docks, and a launch ramp for our paddle boards.
