This is a delightful little cabin on the wind-swept cliffs of the Mendocino coast. We loved stargazing from the hot tub and listening to the rain and gulls from the loft bedroom's skylights. The property itself is maintained well for how remote the area is, but be mindful of accessibility needs before booking (high deck, steep spiral staircase, step-in stone shower, etc.). Would recommend over the local spas/retreats if youre seeking privacy and a romantic, homey feel. Thanks for having us!

We had an amazing time at Desire. The view is gorgeous, and the house was perfect for our stay. We appreciated having a full kitchen and refrigerator. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic and the hot tub was nice and hot. You can tell the host thinks about their guests, and what they may need. We cannot wait to return!

This was a great place in every respect. The house itself is well designed and comfortable. This furnished as if people actually live there. Location is the best ever. Near Mendocino, but still away from crowds. The views are spectacular. We particularly loved sitting in the hot tub and watching the sunrise. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, and the host was also extremely helpful and accommodating. Altogether, probably the nicest rental property I’ve ever stayed at.

We had a great time at this cabin! It was cozy, relaxing, and had everything we needed. A comfy bed, a warm fireplace, a hot tub with a view, a ready to cook kitchen, laundry, and a deck with incredible ocean views. We spent every night watching the sunset on the deck or in the hot tub. Plus there is an abundance of wild life down in the bay. We saw whales spouting just outside the bay, an otter near the shoreline, and so many condors flying overhead!The kitchen didn’t have spices, so we did have to buy some when we cooked a few meals, but otherwise had everything else. The shower is a little awkward to climb in and out of, so just have to be careful stepping down and out. Otherwise everything was great! Next time we are down in Mendocino area we will definitely return to the Desire cabin.
