Great older home with good beds, bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen. Close to UNM, restaurants, shopping and easy access to I-40 & I-25. Would definitely stay there again.
The property was as described and easy to get to from the rental car station. We found so many things to do that were very close to the property. The dogs loved that there were so many parks close by. We went twice a day.
We lived in Albuquerque for many years and love to return to visit friends and our favorite Mexican restaurants. Connie's home is centrally located, comfortable, cozy, and well equipped. We appreciated the parking and enjoyed being close to UNM. We would definitely recommend it!
Connie’s house was very clean with all necessary amenities. I was a little worried about the location being so close to Central but it was quiet and I felt safe. The antiques and decor were very charming reminiscent of my grandparents homes yet modern amenities were there. It was well stocked and comfortable. Enjoyed the yard and outdoor space with safe parking available. Thank you for a great stay.
Connie's house is a beautifully decorated adobe home located a block from Central Ave/Route 66 which made it easy to find. enjoyed how close it was to several eateries. Lots of menus were provided in the welcome book. The pups enjoyed having a backyard to play in and made some friends next door. Really enjoyed our stay. 😊
This was a very nice house! It is an older house, so it is known that there may be a few things that are not perfect inside. Two of the three heaters were working, but that did not matter as the whole house was kept warm throughout the day and night. Everything was very acceptable, and there were many many places that were very close to us! We will definitely be back! Thank you. Very wonderful stay!
I will definitely rebook Connie’s Place! I live 4.5 hr away from ABQ and usually book an …NB for my stays when I need the VA. The pics for Connie’s place cannot do justice to the feels. En suite has a smallish shower in the bathroom. King size bed is quite soft. The paint colors on most of the walls makes it seem darker inside. The heights of the fences are ideal for my tallest: GoldenDoodle.
The description of this property is “Newly renovated, 1700 square foot house in Nob Hill.” There is nothing about this property that is renovated. It is a 1930’s house with a new coat of paint. There are few outlets in the house and extension cords were used to plug in multiple things. There was one outlet in the bathroom which was not one of the original and is the only outlet. The plumbing is original in the kitchen and bathrooms. Including the bathtub and fixtures with the exception of a recent shower added to the ½ bath. The bathroom sinks drain very slowly. There are multiple bottles of unused shampoo, conditioner, perfume, lotion etc. in the bathrooms. It appears that the owner doesn't get rid of items left by other travelers. Used bar soap on it, was left in the bathtub and shower. Also disgusting. The "fully equipped kitchen" lacked a dishwasher and also had the original sink and faucets. Don’t expect hot water in the kitchen or the other bathroom if hot water is being used in the other bathroom. There is NO AIR CONDITIONER! The owner called us just hours prior to our arrival to tell us of a problem which was being fixed and that the “Swamp Cooler” would be turned on when we arrived. The house was not cool. The owner told us we needed to close off half of the house, open windows in the other half of the house to get the air to circulate. The “Swamp Cooler” is extremely loud making it very difficult to sleep. So only half of the house can be cooled at one time. It took about 10-12 hours for the bedrooms to be cooled. The “Swamp Cooler” pulls outside air into the house, and since the house is immediately behind a restaurant the cooking, beer and grease smells from the kitchen permeate the house. This is disgusting. The doors inside the house stick and are hard to open and close
The online pictures are not a true representation of the house. You can’t see the filth. The beds are also vintage as well as the mattresses and box springs. The cleanliness is deplorable. My house slippers were black on the soles due to dirty floors. There is a robot vacuum cleaner in the house but it does not get behind and under the furniture and a buildup of dust and dirt is evident. The refrigerator was not clean and there were several expired bottles and jars of condiments etc. in the refrigerator. There were dirty clothes from previous renters still in the bedroom dresser. The bath towels smelled musty and we washed them prior to using them.
One of the best VRBOs we've stayed in. Comfortable, roomy, a combination of thoughtful updates and original antiques. With a well-stocked pantry and a fridge of condiments, we were easily able to cook a family meal. Beds are super comfortable, and there are extra blankets/throws throughout the house.
Easy rental, good communication with owner and great location to get to and from for a busy balloon chasing weekend. Connie's home is spacious with areas to spread out and the perfect dining table to sit around and play cards. Walking distance from lots of restaurants and right next door to a very nice brewery with good food. With all the businesses nearby, we were impressed with how quiet this property was. Good night's sleep led to a lot of daytime fun!
Definitely recommend.
The charm of Connie's House is a unique one... The decor and vinyl record selection are amazing. Great location within literally walking distance to a local brewery, restaurants, and a grocery store nearby. Definitely booking again soon...
Great experience in a home older than me with a Paniera Bread right across the street. Very comfortable bed. Has all the amenities, located close to town, the interstates, UNM, etc.
Great hosts with an amazing home in the perfect location
We stayed here for our wedding week in Albuquerque and we could not be more happy with our stay. The house was located next to everything we needed. We felt very safe and comfortable with the neighborhood. The hosts were super easy to work with and accommodated our late check-in and early check out.
Perfectly located house between UNM and Nob Hill. The owner is great, attentive, and easy to deal with. The kitchen is fully outfitted for cooking but there are also tons of restaurants nearby. For folks looking to work out, Johnson Gym at UNM is a short walk and has day passes available to the public.
Convenient to restaurants and main roads. Granddaughters enjoyed this staycation. Fireplace was a cozy spot to gather around, sing and play guitars. We will come back again.
Enjoyed the house and it's history. Love the antiques and uniqueness. House was close to all event and shopping needs. Check-in and welcome was well noted in the table book, with information on area restaurants, however, would have liked to have had more information readily available on check-out as well.
