I have stayed at Summerhouse for over 20 years and love it! It’s always clean and very maintained, but this year was different. I know with Covid this year, it has put a lot of stress on everyone. As I arrived for check in, I was greeted so negatively and rude from the First Lady in the office. She was VERY upset that I was there @3 instead of 4 and stated that my email said 4, when it showed 3! She just kept saying everything was in my room for check in. I left and turned around to go back in when I realized I needed 3 parking passes and before I could say I needed 3, she yelled at me and told me again everything is in the room. I got to the room, it was beautifully decorated, but not enough parking passes. I asked my husband to stop and get one, and she was rude to him as well. I’ve never been treated so poorly! She is not a good customer service person to have if she is the first person that you’re greeted by! As far as the room, the couch was uncomfortable and the chairs fell apart if you leaned back. The master bedroom tv would never work. But, I refused to call the office due to how we were treated! Of course, I will still go there because we love it there and the beach!
