CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: AMENITY CLOSINGS EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 27, 2025

SunDestin Beach Resort is currently undergoing exterior construction around the property. The indoor pool, outdoor pool, and on-site restaurant are projected to be closed until the beginning of January 2026.

Please be aware that construction activity may result in noise between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily. Our goal is to keep you informed ahead of time so you can make the most of your stay with us.

Parking in the main lot may be limited. Please note that the drive-through area at the main lobby entrance, typically used for loading and unloading luggage, may be temporarily closed. Each one-and two-bedroom condo is allowed one vehicle only. Any additional cars will need to park in the overflow lot across the street.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as the resort works to improve and enhance the overall guest experience.

Welcome to the SunDestin Beach Resort by Scenic Stays, the premier condominium in the heart of Destin situated on a private beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico! The onsite Scenic Stays team at SunDestin looks forward to welcoming you to your next beach vacation at our 24-hour front desk. The experience of a lifetime awaits! SunDestin Beach Resort features expansive onsite amenities including a newly renovated outdoor pool, indoor pool (heated seasonally), outdoor hot tub, steam room, sauna, outdoor tiki bar (open seasonally), workout facility, event/meeting space, gift shop, complimentary DVD rentals and much more!

Upon entry to SunDestin Unit 1509, you are greeted by a fully appointed, well stocked kitchen for home cooked meals or a quick snack to take to the beach. An open dining and living room concept immediately follow, with comfortable seating for 4 guests and a relaxing sofa and armchair set after a long day at the beach and pool. Sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico and the emerald waters welcome you from the living room and spacious balcony with seating for two. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and calming sunsets directly overlooking the beach!

Refresh every night in the comfortable king bed located in the master bedroom, while the kids relax in the queen sofa sleeper located in the living room. Enjoy the flat panel televisions located in the living room and bedroom both equipped with DVD players. DVD rentals are available in the lobby directly across from the gift shop!

Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

Not what we were expecting…

Location a 10/10. Condo: 1/10The condo just FELT dirty. The mattress in the bedroom has literal huge holes/indentations in it from others who’ve slept in it. So uncomfortable we literally almost went and go an air mattress. No lights in the master bedroom, just a lamp? The shag carpet made me gag walking across it barefooted bc it was so dirty. The toilet attached to the bedroom was running nonstop. I felt like there should’ve been some kind of mat at the back door. Def a slipping hazard with children. The couch was stained and dirty. If you are counting on using the pull out bed—don’t. The mattress is so bad on it as well.Balcony doesn’t have a lot of room due to a huge air condition unit on it. The entire condo just felt cheap and ran down. The condo was under construction and we were given ZERO warning. We rented it with the splash pad amenities in mind as we have small children—it was closed and “under construction” the entire time. We heard Jack hammering the entire time through our stay. I feel like someone should’ve at least been upfront about the construction as a lot of the other guests were complaining along with us.Just being transparent so it can maybe help the owners or any future renters.

back in this same room 10 years later

10 years ago my wife and I stayed at the SunDestin in room 1509 for the first time. This was our first time returning here in 10 years. The memories are priceless, and this property makes it a wonderful experience and memory

Not Good at All

Condo was dirty and not well maintained. The same goes for the overall condition of the property. The pictures on line were misleading, and did not reflect the overall run-down look of the Sun Destin at all! The best thing about this vacation was the friendliness of the staff. We will not be back!

We enjoyed our stay but I would not stay at this particular condo in the future. I’m super picky about cleanliness but there were a few things that could have been better cleaned. There was something dripping in the fridge that looked like rust. There was something like a bread crumb in the ice trays in freezer. And a roach crawled onto the couch one night. The condo itself was a little outdated in certain areas. The beach view was beautiful. Watched several dolphins from the balcony each day!

There needs to be information presented about beach chair rentals during the reservation process. I didn't know you had to rent front row chairs weeks to months in advance. The stay was wonderful. My family had an outstanding time.

Room was excellent. The way that they block the entire beach off with the rental chairs is ridiculous. People with their own chairs cannot even set up near the water. Not everyone wants to rent those uncomfortable rental chairs. Probably wont stay here again because if this.

Great for a weekend stay!

Perfect location, great views. The only thing was that some of the towels had black smears on them. And the bed wasn’t comfortable at all. Very stiff and springy. The hot water in the kitchen sink didn’t work at all. Other than that, everything was great. Customer service is good, great location, food downstairs was good.

Amazing stay - rock hard bed.

This place is amazing. Super clean. Friendly staff. Great view. All the amenities and then some. Couch super comfy. Only downside is that the bed is super uncomfortable. Close cousin to a box spring. Everything else was amazing. Definitely would come back.

Amazing View!

There was a lot of difficulty getting the living room TV to work the first night. Called concierge desk at about 8 PM, but never got a call back. Next morning we finally got it to work. One of toilets didn't flush well. Would be nice to have more comfortable patio chairs. We brought a couple of our own because we don't like the high top chairs. I was surprised that the concierge wasn't familiar with the dolphin cruise we booked on our own through Tripshock on the Seaquest. It is the best deal for dolphin watching.

Perfection!

Everything about our stay was perfect! The condo looked exactly like the pictures, check in & out was quick and easy, the view is spectacular, and the condo was very clean. We will definitely be back & recommend to others.
