Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Jekyll House was once again fantastic!! Our stay was comfortable, close to everything and enjoyed by all. The setting is incredible and the pool was perfect. The home is well stocked and the layout is great for a family or large group. Looking forward to next years trip!!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was good, except we had to purchase ice. No ice maker. Water pressure was very low in certain areas of the home. It is on the beach but due to the rocks you must go down to the public walkway to enter. During high tide there is no beach!

This property is delightful. The views of the Atlanta were amaxing on the 2ndporch and from the rooftop. The pool was refreshing and immaculately kept.

The home was clean, well stocked, a great location, beautiful view and fabulous pool! My only concern was that some of the mattresses were very hard. We grew up coming to Jekyll and also had a family home there for was so nice to see how the island has grown. We hope to return again-Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Pool is the highlight!

The location and pool access can’t be beat! We were however not terribly impressed with the lack of basic amenities in the house eg. one kitchen towel, no hot pads, one roll of toilet paper. Seems a bit more investment in the basics would go a long way for guest comfort.There is also a wasp problem in the pool area. We found a can of wasp spray and purchased more while there. Seems this is a known problem that should be addressed by the realty company.

Great time with family!! House was okay.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The outside of this house NEEDS ATTENTION! Too many wasps ... they were everywhere and all week! Even when the guy came out to take care of the problem, it didn't take care of the problem. The pool needs to be cleaned thoroughly .. the sides, bottom, area around the pool. Great time with family, but that's what made this vacation wonderful, not the house. Wish we could have enjoyed the pool, but too many problems and the water fall didn't work the whole time.... calling about these things didn't matter, because they just put it on the pool maintenance people ... no solution!

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you were able to enjoy family time on Jekyll Island and apologize for the outside issues that detracted from your stay. Pest control has walked and treated the exterior for wasps. We are sorry the pool issues were not able to be resolved sooner during your stay. The contracted pool maintenance company is depended upon for service and repair of the pool and water feature equipment. We continue to work with them to improve response for calls outside of their regularly scheduled service times.

Great location, needs so tweaks

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrive at Jekyll house and we loved the set up of the house. But, immediately noticed the air condition wasn’t working. I called the rental company and they were able to fix it that day. We also had several more problems with the rental. When we tried to cook dinners at night the stove top would not stay up to temperature when several burners were used. This ruined our dinners for for timing and taste. There was also a day it stormed and the right sided back door leaks. There was a huge puddle on the floor. The refrigerator seemed to keep the food cold, but the ice in the freezer was always melting. And, finally there is a crack (somewhere under the sink?)that bugs keep getting in the downstairs bathroom near the laundry. Every day you had to take care of spiders, lizards, etc that got in. The rugs also need to be washed in the bathrooms along with the shower curtains. Other than those things the house was in a great location, the beach was quiet and clean. And the floor plan of the house was nice

Great House, Great Location!

Jekyll House is beautiful, comfortable, roomy, and tucked away at the end of a quiet, shady street. Although it's beachfront, you have to walk to the other side of the house next-door to the boardwalk, but it's very close. The common spaces are just as pictured with plenty of cozy seating areas and the bedrooms are large with comfortable linens. There are no ensuite bathrooms but it wasn't an issue for our group. We enjoyed the pool and the comfortable chairs and umbrellas on the patio. The rooftop deck is a great place at sunset and sunrise. The check-in process was easy, but you do have to stop by an office to pick up and return keys. I would definitely recommend it and stay here again.
