Ocean front condo

Nice size condo with a great location. There were a few issues with the appliances but Eric was able to get them resolved. We had a few visitors for a couple nights and the condo easily accommodated everyone. Unfortunately the balcony was unusable because the pigeons loved nesting and hanging out on and under the patio furniture. We would definitely stay in this condo again.

Honest review. The condo we stayed in was very spacious and accommodating to our party of 5 (3 adults, 1 teen 1 kid) with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, full kitchen, and dining room. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. The owner communicated well and check in went smoothly. As of April 2023 the building itself was going through renovations which we knew in advance. Because of this we had to walk about 800 ft to access the beach which was ok. Unfortunately there was a issue with the water in a different unit where there was a leak prompting the water to be shut off throughout the building. Out of 4 days we had access to showers 2 days. This shouldn’t be an ongoing issue just check prior to booking.

Great location and 7-11 parking lot view from each room

The property location is great! Unfortunately, everything is down hill from there. It's a very outdated and cheaply remodeled property. The bed in the northern most room is large and comfortable. The condition of the very cheaply remodeled bathroom in that same room is bad, the $5 shower curtain attempts to hide a old peeling repainted bath tub that has a missing stopper/screen and over flow cover. The tub spout is loose so be careful when you pull the plunger up to activate the shower. The shower head is nice and the water pressure is pretty good for a 6th floor room. The windows are old and several of the blinds are missing slats. The bedroom across from the black bathroom was hard and uncomfortable and likely has bed bugs. We had to move my daughter out of that room after the first night due to many dozens of bug bites. The kitchen is nice size and has most things you would need for a stay but again, very cheaply finished with vinyl covered resurfaced cabinets that are peeling in several places. I could go on but you get the idea. They simply arent putting a penny more into the place then absolutely necessary. I wish the whole unit was as nice as the comfortable red couch photo in the picture. There is no view of the ocean from this side of the property and we were given one key for the 3 bedroom condo which is problematic since all the exterior doors lock when you go outside. This place could be awesome but its not.

The guest made no attempt to contact me during his stay to correct his concerns. Please read the reviews from other guests. The bed in question was inspected by housekeeping and no bed bugs were found. Some folks go to the beach and are bitten by sand fleas and don’t realize it. Nonetheless, the mattress has been replaced. Each bathroom was remodeled at a cost of $20,000/ per bathroom. I’m terribly sorry that this guest was unhappy. We strive to correct any concern and make our guests happy. However, if we are unaware we are helpless.

I have only one description for the owner of this condo, a used car salesman. My family stayed here March, 2022 - after the “recent remodel” and we’re on and off very disappointed. I would not describe this place as peaceful, clean, or completely updated. It’s RIGHT ON the A1A so road noise is a real issue. It could use a thorough cleaning and many repairs. There are many things broken, including light switches, fridge, peeling cabinet doors, dishwasher, bed frames, paper lamps, and the black chair (which the owner claimed was fixed in a previous review). There also was no hair dyer as claimed in the listing. It is, however, right on the beach, which you know only if you walk outside to the back of the building. We enjoyed being so close to the beach with our kiddos, but I do wish we could see the beach and not have all the road noise inside. My greatest complaint with our stay is the lack of communication/kindness with the owner. My husband and I personally have a few properties listed with Vrbo and I couldn’t imagine treating anyone who stayed with us the way this man treated us. During the course of our stay there was MAJOR construction. I mean: jackhammering from about 8am until about 4pm DAILY. I realize this isn’t a forever thing, so hopefully in the next year that isn’t an issue. It’s the way the owner handled this. It’s in his listing to say something similar to, “18 month renovations occurring beginning June 2021.” But I notice now that has been changed since my complaint. Anyway, It doesn’t tell you that the game room isn’t usable. It doesn’t tell you that the washer/dryer isn’t available - which by the way there is only ONE for the ENTIRE building. It also doesn’t tell you about the excessive construction noise you will deal with. When I asked the owner about this, because I had a two-year-old who struggled to nap every day and a seven-year-old who couldn’t play in the game room as planned, the owner literally just responded, “it was in the description.” That’s it folks. No. I’m sorry, but what we dealt with during this stay was NOT in the description nor was it brought to our attention before we arrived. I can deal with the painting and on again/off again inability to enter the building during certain times because of the painting…. But the rest? That was not something to have subtly mentioned. I will never return here. Even when the construction is done. This owner should not be in the hospitality.business.

Thank you for the review. We find them useful in addressing issues. We have scheduled a maintenance man to make repairs throughout our condo. Housekeeping has read this review and insists it was thoroughly cleaned prior to the guests arrival. The cabinets in the kitchen are not peeling. But, the wrap is not tightly formed to the wood. We are looking into replacing them. Buying a new dishwasher is a priority. However, it’s been impossible to find a reasonably priced one in stock. For this inconvenience we provided free WiFi to this guest and future guests until the issue is resolved. The ongoing construction is clearly stated in the description and this has not been altered. It is difficult to keep up with this construction as we are unaware of the changing schedule based on weather and other projects. We do our best to keep guests informed. If you find our condo does not meet your standards for cleanliness please notify us immediately and we will send the housekeeping team that day. Same with repairs. There is nothing we can do to fix the problem after you check out. Our condo faces A1a so there is some road noise. We have just purchased windows for the entire condo which will decrease road noise. We are not sure of the installation date. I hope this reassured guests of our intentions of making your stay as comfortable as possible. Respectfully, Eric

Nice Location, amenities end there

The building is right on the beach, but is under construction which was in the listing. What wasn't listed was that we would be staying on the 6th floor and the elevator would be shut down. Also the owner told us since the dishwasher was broken we could have free wifi, that doesn't seem like a fair trade and also wifi should be included anyway! Then he sent us a list of things not to do, such as we had to jiggle the toilet handles, not open the busted closet door in the front hall, and couldn't close the blinds in the living room. Also, light switches were busted and bed frames were busted in the back bedroom. But an inventory list with the prices were sent to us in case we broke something?! The building is right on the beach but that condo doesn't face the water and instead is on the side of a busy highway. It was honestly a pretty disappointing place to stay for our family vacation.

We liked the place and were told about the construction so that wasn’t a problem. We were on the front side of the building and the engines revving for long hours in the night made it hard to sleep. But all in all it was a great week.

Inaccurate property description

I am usually way better at reading the reviews, so disappointing that I missed them this time, unfortunatelythat's the only place you get an accurate descriptionoftheproperty. This is probably our 10th VRBO stay and by far the most disappointing. "Beautiful Beachfront Condo" it is not!! It is NOT beachfront at all!! With all of the negative reviews, I don't see why they don't just update the profile. The cleanliness was also an issue, the floors were quite dirty, as well as the bathrooms. There was also no place in the shower to put soap, shampoo ect. (other than the floor). The pool was closed for the first 4 days of our 8 day stay, never had any communication from anyone as to if or when it would open. Overall not a great experience 😕

My family and I were agreeably surprised to see this place - it's really large. Big bedrooms, big kitchen, big living room! While this particular condo is not beachfront, staying there was a very enjoyable experience.

Peaceful beach life

We enjoyed our stay at the condos, we did not rent a beach side condo, but we still enjoyed the view from our room. We rented a 6th floor apartment and we could see over the entire town out to the Banana river, if we don’t buy a place in Florida we will definitely stay at these condos again. Beaches were quiet and they had a nice little pool out back by the ocean.

STAY ELSEWHERE IF YOU ARE SMART

So I decided to rent a beachfront condo for Christmas vacation I have rented beachfront condos in the past and they are nice you get to look out into the ocean and enjoy the sights. This unit is not beachfront you overlook a strip club and a 7-Eleven and if you stand up and turn your head to the north east you can see a small sliver of the beach. Now let’s move onto the interior peeling paint all through the ceilings cabinets look buckled and very worn. Shower and first master bathroom water would not drain, paint is also peeling from that tub. Hallway bathroom or guest bathroom when you turn the water on it shoots out at you. Second master bathroom I don’t even know what they were thinking in there with the sink water splashes all over you when you turn the faucet on that comes out of a mirror it’s crazy out right Ludacris and not functional. The living room is comfortable but the couch does not fit 4 to 5 people it’s more of a two person couch. The dining table is nice but only has seating for four. There is only one TV in the property and it’s relatively small I believe a 32 inch no TVs in the bedroom the cable also went out on us and the Wi-Fi is nonexistent. The condo had a bad order. From day one my fiancé wanted to leave but we were already there and it was paid for so we stayed our entire time there was a moment when I thought about trying to find another place to rent but with such short notice things were hard to find. Now back to the strip club across the street you will hear in your unit at all hours of the night people revving their engines and fighting outside my kids witnessed three fights from our seven day stay The unit is not soundproof and you will hear everything from outside I had trouble sleeping a few nights myself there are probably more negative things I can write but This should be good enough to give you an idea of what you will be staying in.

Do not waste your money

We were visiting from Seattle for a clean and sober softball tournament. Our first night there we were asleep by ten pm, the next day I receive an email and note at the property saying there were multiple complaints about noise and basically threatening the authorities if it happens again. Would not recommend staying at this property if you are planning to have any fun at all. The whole building smells like cigarettes. There are no warnings about a rock shelf in the water causing a couple of injuries to our group. I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Very convenient location

My husband got to surf fish whenever he wanted. The building had a lockable storage downstairs for his rods/tackle. We brought a grill for a cookout (too many people showed up. Sorry). Next door to the AF Base, which is great for us!

Dated Building with lots of room for improvements. Too much glass-very unsafe for little kids!

The property was selected as a place to just sleep, not necessarily a place to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. The owner emails the lockbox code with a detailed inventory list 2 hours before check-in. The lockbox was attached to a pipe inside the carport of the building, along with 25 others. They aren't numbered you must go down the line and look for one with the letter A on the back. After finding it, it took about 10 tries to get it open (corroded). I finally got it open after hitting it against the pipe. When entering the building, there were 2 very slow elevators for use. After the first day, one was broke, which made it even slower. The listing says "partial ocean view". As other reviews have stated, this is completely false. This property is on the main road side of the building, overlooking the traffic, 7-11, and the gentlemen "strip club" with flashing neon lights going all night. If you walk out onto the balcony and look up the street, you can get a glimpse of the ocean over the buildings in the distance. This is definitely not a partial ocean view property and VRBO should require proof before allowing owners to state it. Also, since the windows have not been upgraded, you will hear everything in all three bedrooms. Even the trash and lawn care workers at 6am. I have rented several times from VRBO and have never had to go through room by room and document everything that was in the place. The list was detailed down to how many forks and knives were in the drawers. With this list being sent 2 hours before arrival, I had no way to print it off, so I had to review it on my phone as I went room to room. Several items were listed that were not found in the unit. When I sent a list and pics to the owner, no response was received back. Its a rental property, why make a renter go through this kind of nonsense? Cabinet doors in the kitchen were broken, the chair in the living room was broken, and the big red couch was actually difficult to use when you have multiple people in the room. Prior reviews (and the check-in details) all talk about the shower water flow. Owner should really get this resolved. It is NOT a low flow condition. There is definitely a problem. The water trickles out and looked like it had calcium buildup in it, which was preventing it to flow normally. And why no second set of keys? Very difficult with multiple people. Pool was not heated so no use. Place was OK for what we wanted, but we were gone most of the time.

A lot more plusses than negatives..

We enjoyed our week in the Satellite Beach condo very much. It's big (two master bedrooms plus a third bedroom), the red couch featured in the photos is very comfortable, as are the beds and the kitchen has everything we needed. The ocean is right there and there were lots of comfortable chairs to sit in by the beach. I loved the shower in the third bathroom. We enjoyed all the wicker furniture on the balcony. There are lots of restaurants in the area, some right across the street. I loved having big closets and lots of drawer space. The bedrooms were great. Drawbacks included the fact that the balcony overlooks route A1A, there is no WiFi, the slab sink in the north master bedroom always splashes and is most unsatisfactory and the gentle rain shower in that same bathroom is so gentle that it took a very long time to shower ( I couldn't even get my hair rinsed and had to use the shower in the other bathroom). Particularly frustrating was that there was only one set of keys (a key is needed to get in the building each time) and four adults, which proved to be challenging. The elevator was slow and made us a little nervous. There was a friendly atmosphere in the building with many permanent and long term residents. The landlord responded immediately to my texts.

Good time

Right on the beach between Cocoa and Melbourne. Pool and beach clean and easily accessible. Only problem we had was one shower not working, the owner tried his best but due to plumber’s schedule was not able to fix, not a big problem. Had a great time!

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was beautifully furnished and very spacious. The screened in balcony was nice. The only issue we had was attempting to do laundry as there is only one washer and dryer per floor, but that was minor. Everyone we talked to during our stay was very friendly and helpful. The owner got back to us very quickly and answered all our questions. We will definitely be back .

Owner charged me $500 for his bed breaking

Unfortunately owner charged $500 for his bed breaking and has not refunded it as requested. A guest should not be responsible for an owner having a cheap bed and I should’ve never been charged for this. Because of this I am not giving a good review I wouldn’t stay here again because I do not trust owner

The author of this review rented our condo for her employees. She did not stay in our condo. Therefore,she is in no position to write this review. In addition, the bed did not break it was destroyed by her employees. We always strive to make our guests comfortable. But, destruction of our property will not be tolerated. VRBO investigated this matter thoroughly and concluded the charges were justified.

It was ok

We had a good time. But the air conditioning in the master bedroom didn’t cool too much we had to have the ceiling fan running the whole time.

I’m sorry for your experience. Our ac contractor inspected and found nothing wrong. I hope this review wasn’t in retaliation for damaging our property and being held responsible.

Awesome

The only con that we had is that had to pay $50 for wifi. Also the beach is not the best. Unit is completely renovated and very clean. Eric replied immediately to my messages and was very helpful. Thanks!
