Swimming, fishing, boating, or just floating & relaxing, are right outside your door with a private dock and deep water only steps away. When you’re ready for a treat beyond the neighborhood and water, you’re conveniently close to the lakeside town of Clarksville with restaurants, shopping, hiking, golfing, and historic sites just minutes away.

The house is directly on Kerr/Buggs Island Lake, with a large covered deck overlooking a beautiful wide-open water view. Spacious, bright, clean, and well equipped with 3 bedrooms and 2 additional sleeping spaces, the house provides comfortable sleeping for up to eleven. With 2 large living rooms, 3 full baths, and supplied linens, you’ll be ready for relaxing and playing, whether on the water at your private dock, on the deck overlooking the lake, or enjoying the inviting indoor living spaces. A pool table and ping pong table, a dart board, multiple large-screen TVs, fire pit with Adirondack chairs overlooking the water, and kayaks are just some of the amenities this house offers. Bring your own boat, as the private dock is waiting. Occoneechee State Park boat ramp is less than 15 minutes away, by car or boat.

Perfect family getaway

This home was absolutely perfect for our family vacation and the photos don’t do it justice! The view from the back deck is absolutely breathtaking. The dock was big enough to tie up our 2 jet skis, fish and relax for our whole family. The home provided plenty of activities to do from cornhole to kayaking and everyone slept comfortably. Host is very friendly, quick to respond and accommodating. Highly recommended this for your next family vacay. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Our Trip

We had an excellent stay. The house suited our needs perfectly. Clean and inviting. Peaceful with great views. Plenty of room for cooking/eating, socializing, and sleeping. Susan was a great host. Will be back again and would highly recommend.

The lake house was very nice with a perfect view. Susan was very helpful with everything and made our stay wonderful! We will definitely have another family vacation next year at this location.

Lovely place

My crew had a wonderful stay at this property. Some of them kayaked every day! Susan was a terrific host and great about communicating. We will definitely stay again if we come back to the area on another project. Highly recommend!

Lake house

This property has a great view of Kerr Lake. The water is deep off the dock which is great for diving. There is plenty to do for the family when the weather is bad with games and the pool table and with the darts. The area is quiet and peaceful for relaxation as well. We sure hope to stay here in the future.

25th Anniversary vacation

We picked a lake house instead of our usual beach trip for our anniversary and boy did we make the right decision. The house was spotless and welcoming, even included a welcome basket of snacks and coffee. We couldn't have found a house closer to the water. It was too cold for boating or kayaking, but we enjoyed sitting on the deck with a blanket watching the lake. We saw so many deer and heard all kinds of birds. Plenty of good restaurants and lakefront parks in the area. We'll definitely be back, can't wait!

Beautiful property and all the amenities you will need for your stay!

This is an absolutely beautiful and clean property with an amazing view of the lake. So appreciated that linens, towels, and all the primary staples were provided. The kitchen was stocked and we’ll organized. The hosts were wonderful, very communicative, and made us feel extremely welcome. We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful lakeside vacation

Susan was excellent in communicating with us as needed. Our family of 10 had plenty of room and felt so welcomed at this home. Everything was well stocked and organized. The lakeview and days on the dock fishing were relaxing. You can rent a boat locally and park at the property's dock. I highly recommend this property if you're headed to Kerr Lake in VA.crent a boat

Lake and wildlife

The view of lake is captivating. We sat on the porch a lot. Very clean. Beds very comfortable. We explored Mecklenburg county from this location. I rode my bike through neighborhoods. House set up well for visitors. Oh, we saw a bald Eagle and otters.

Perfect Getaway

Our family has been going to Kerr Lake for years. This year we found the perfect spot. Not only was the house spotless but was also well organized. Cabinets were labeled and a book was included to tell about the home and things that were available in town. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake from the porch, games from the closet, and especially the community pickleball courts. This is a great place to make memories and enjoy Kerr Lake!

Accusations & trash issues

Arrived for our yearly family lake vacation. Tried a new lake this year. Thought we had found the perfect place! Except for two things; We had to take our trash to a dump ourselves that was about 10 minutes away (not even a trash can to speak of nor any notice until arrival). Iv used VRBO through out the years. This was the first time I was forced to get insurance to rent a property. Left home like every year before as they requested and undamaged. Got a message 7 days later about how there was a lot of damage in basement where my parents stayed (70-75 yrs old) they playing one game of pool. We spent all of our time outside. The damage was already there but we have been accused of causing it now. Other than the trash and the accusations everything else was good.

Fabulous Family Getaway

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend on the lake! The house was exactly as listed. Plenty of space for all. Tons of amenities to keep us busy, if we wanted. And a lovely deck and lawn to just hang out and enjoy the view. Easy access to launch our boat from a nearby park. And ample space to tie up on the private dock. We took advantage of the excellent fishing Kerr Lake has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet time on the lake but still be able to enjoy restaurants and shopping in Clarksville or nearby South Boston.

Absolutely wonderful!

We had a great family reunion vacation. 3 couples with 4 children. We had plenty of rooms for sleeping arrangements and each family had a designated bathroom. Big dining table that accommodated all of us for family meals. The dock has a nice covered area for protection from sun or rain when fishing. We caught fish, played in the water, kids kayaked, and we had a lovely evening under the stars eating smores around the fire pit. Boys enjoyed playing some pool in the basement. Definitely a 5 star accommodation⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perfect in every way!

We stayed with our two teenagers and had a fantastic time. The house was very clean. All the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen were clearly labeled making it easy to find and replace cooking items. The covered deck overlooking the lake was maybe the best part and we utilized it every day. Speaking of the lake, the house is located on a terrific spot with quick and easy access to the lake. Our host, Susan, could not have been nicer or more responsive. Our stay, unfortunately, overlapped when the heavy rains of Hurricane Debby passed through. The power in the house flickered a few times but never stayed off for more than a couple of seconds. However, the power flickering caused the breaker for the air conditioner compressor to fail. Susan contacted a local contractor who was able to replace the breaker the following day so that our AC comfort was not compromised. :) Overall, we would absolutely recommend this property and, more specifically, this owner. Thank you, Susan, for making our stay a very enjoyable and memorable one!

Beautiful home and view

The home was nicer and bigger than the pictures gave it justice. The lake is peaceful and quiet with good fishing. We enjoyed the shaded/new looking back deck. The host was friendly and replied with immediacy. I picked the home because it had specific things I was looking for - on the lake with a dock, game room, fire pit, grill, kayaks, and more than enough beds for everyone. There were extras that the host obviously tried to include like little snacks and extra games. The home in general was clean but the cleaning crew overlooked the master toilet. It was visibility soiled but the rest of the bathroom was clean so I think it just got skipped inadvertently. And, some of the soap bottles were not refilled in a couple of bathrooms. Part of the check out process is to take the trash to a convenience center. It was about 10 minutes away and off path for us, and also closed when we got there (check out was 10 from the house and the center didn't open until 1:00 on Sundays). I would still recommend others stay here. They obviously recognize that it is an expensive stay and have tried to make it a worthwhile/quality experience.
