Paraíso de los pescadores y retiro en el campo

Esta amplia casa aislada es perfecto para su retiro de la pesca o reunión familiar. Situado en el borde de Kerr Embalse y bosques, rodeado de espaciosas cubiertas porches, y equipado con la estación de limpieza perfecto para trabajar su captura, este es el lugar ideal para su tertulia e ininterrumpido espectáculo pesca.

Caminar hasta 2 grandes muelles flotantes privados que pueden acomodar varios barcos (y bañistas!). Vida Silvestre y la suave brisa acompañan su visita, mientras se deshace de la prisa y la tensión de la vida en la ciudad. Mezcle un juego de herradura en la noche y ver a los, pavos y ciervos salvajes tímidos tomar su paseo por el campo inferior.

Se trata de casa de campo de nuestra familia, y algunas de nuestras pertenencias están allí, también. Usted se sentirá como en casa, colocando en con tus amigos, y será difícil dejar este hermoso estado, no hay otras casas para distraer de aterciopelados cielos negros en la noche o de la tranquilidad de una mañana temprana.

Tradicional casa de 2 pisos, de implantación alta fundación. Todas las escaleras (interior y exterior) tienen pasamanos normales; a prueba de niños puertas / barreras No se proveen por el propietario.

Beautiful oasis

The fishing crew loved this house and location. The house was open, airy and clean. The grounds were beautiful. Very peaceful. Have already recommended to others. Will definitely book again when returning to the area.

Secluded, well-kept, great fishing

Beautiful, secluded property. Clean home with all the comforts needed. Floating dock worked great for our boats and although the water was high, we still caught a lot of fish. Hope to make it back sooner than later!

Family Getaway

Great size house. We had 6 adults and 5 kids. The private dock was a 5 min walk from the house. Love how deep the water is at the dock. Probably around 20 ft deep. Caught a drum and catfish both over 12" right off the dock. The kitchen is well equipped and great size. The grill outside under a covered porch is nice to have. Our stay was very comfortable.

Quiet Time

We loved the space! Covered porch was wonderful. We could be outside even in the rain. We had the whole water space to ourselves! The little boys loved fishing and swimming.

Also Jetskier Paradise

While this is listed as a fisherman’s paradise, it worked very nicely for a weekend of playing on jet skis. Kept them tied at the dock after putting in at the ramp near Rudd’s Marina. Lots of sleeping space meant the kids could bring friends too. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes and utensils.

Perfect Place for a Family Getaway

A great place for our family getaway to celebrate multiple significant birthdays. Ten of us and plenty of room for everyone. Two nice docks on the lake, perfect for swimming of fishing. Off a quiet cove on Kerr lake, well protected from the wind on the main channel. Water level in the lake was very high with lots of debris in the main channel, but clear calm water there, perfect for boating, fishing and swimming. We had a great Memorial Day weekend and will definitely be back.

Beautiful Retreat

The house and grounds are a wonderful retreat for a big family. Lots of room for everyone. The house is full of light, the wrap-around porch a delight to watch a rainstorm, have conversation, and listen to nature. The docks are great for star-gazing. The fish-cleaning station is a great feature! The kitchen is nice and big for multiple cooks. We enjoyed the seclusion and privacy of the extensive grounds. We would love to return again!

Large home; lots of land; on a lake.

Completely remodeled older country home on John Kerr Reservoir. Lots of room for kids of all ages to run and play. Lake a short walk - complete with dock for your boat. 5bdrm 2 baths and an outdoor shower! Large well-appointed kitchen. Although this property does not have wifi or online pay do not let it stop you from considering for your next get away!

Maryann, thank you for your review and feedback. The house is actually only 20 years old and has been very gently used. It was built in 1997 and replaced a 1920s vintage home that burned in the mid 1990s. As for wifi, it is doubtful that we will be adding that any time soon. We are looking at the possibility of adding credit card payments, but not in the immediate future. Again, thank you for being wonderful guests. Cheryl

Best country river retreat you will take.

We had a great time. The layout of the property was perfect. Lots of space to do whatever your heart desires in the country wirh the added bonus of the river. That was also perfect the layout of the ri er makes tou feel like it is just you out there. The house was also spacious. Nice comfortable beds and updated appliances and showers. The wrap around first leve porch was wonderful for the younger kids while the big kids took over the balcony. We will be making this our family rental throughout the year.

Peaceful country property, fun Lake activities

We had a wonderful weekend at Violets Grove. The porches were the perfect place to sit and relax and play games. The kitchen was exceptionally stocked and the beds were all very comfortable. The docks were so fun. Great places to swim and fish. We brought packed boards and our kayak and they allowed us to explore the lake a bit more. That part of Kerr Lake is not frequented by boaters and it was very quiet. We will come back!

Nice private dock a ways from the house. Caught some catfish. Lots of open space. The Starlink internet was out during our whole stay making it impossible to watch any videos at night w the family. I spent hours trying to get it working for several days. Our regular cell coverage was very spotty so we couldn’t really use it either. My wife had to go work in the car driving up the road until she got some cell signal. It was not the owners fault , but it made things very difficult and no adjustment of compensation was offered. A/C worked well and other than the internet activity everything else was smooth. Utility room smells of natural gas so we didn’t sleep in that room. Other than losing a large part of two days trying to solve the internet issue, everything else was very good. Very private.

Excellent Property - We loved it!

Spent 3 nights at Violet's Grove on a fishing trip weekend. The property is very nice. We saw turkeys and deer out in the fields on two mornings. The house is roomy and well equipped. Everything was in great shape and we really enjoyed out stay. We felt like it was home and we will be looking to rent this property again.

The Perfect Getaway!

I've either rented this property or have been a guest of friends who've rented for many years. This is one of my favorite destinations because the kids forget about their electronics and actually engage (and enjoy) in activities making it a traditional family vacation. There's so much to do beyond the lake with the large amount of land this house sits on. Whether it's making s'mores around the fire pit, a game of kickball or slip n' slide wiffle ball, we are never bored. The private cove is so secluded that we feel safe with the kids paddle boarding or kayaking to nearby shorelines. It's even rare we see a boat on popular holiday weekends! The large covered wrap-around porch is perfect for relaxing on the porch in any type of weather. The house is perfect for multiple families, there's plenty of space and the kitchen is fully stocked. If you want to create a summer family tradition, I highly recommend a trip to Violet's Grove!
