Wonderful location - walkable to town. Everything was very clean and tidy. We enjoyed our stay so much! Just what we needed for a long weekend.

I booked this for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Gerard was great at communicating and allowed for them to have an earlier check in and later check out. My parents and friends said the place was clean and very cute. It was in a perfect location. They had a great time and I would definitely rent from them again.

Awesome home in great location!

We enjoyed 3 nights at Gerard’s home. The blending of historic and modern is seamless. The furnishings and beds were very comfortable. Everything was so clean and well appointed! Gerard was easy to communicate with. I would absolutely stay here again!!

Beautiful property with all amenities. It was immaculately clean and had everything needed.The location to downtown Mystic was wonderful as you can walk in in less than 10 minutes and avoid having to park downtown.We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.And the host was very responsive and accommodating to a request I made .A '10' in every level.

Perfect Location in Mystic

This historic house is beautifully decorated and had plenty of room. It’s within walking distance of downtown Mystic. We enjoyed the back patio on sunny days and loved walking to our favorite coffee spot “Lis” every morning. This is our second time staying at this house and will always try to reserve it when we return. The hosts are wonderful and responsive.

Great location

This house was a great location, but I thought the yeard would be better fenced-in for our dog based on the photos, but it really is not fenced in: there are multiple areas that even large dogs could get out. This was a major reason why I selected this house over others. So we had to walk her every time we let her out, and then almost everyone's grass (including the house we were staying in) had signs saying not to let your dogs or children walk on the grass due to recent pesticide placement. The only other gripe was that it was very difficult to control the upstairs temperature. Other than that, our stay was lovely, the house had everything, and we really loved the location.

Fun Mystic getaway.

The house was awesome on every level. What we really enjoyed most was the owner of this property, Gerard. He was hands down the nicest VRBO property owner we’ve ever experienced, and the four of us have had a bunch over the years. Any question we had he responded immediately, and was super polite. We would stay here or any of his properties in the future.

Fantastic

We stayed at the Avery house for 2 nights and I cannot say enough good about the place. Everything was spotless, well kept and well appointed. Everything you would ever need is there. It is only a couple blocks walk to all the restaurants and shops and sightseeing activities. Communication with manager was awesome. I highly recommend staying there!

Perfect for Kids Family

First of all, the house is immaculately clean. Wearing a pair of socks around the house throughout our stay resulted in socks staying white. 4 out of 4 germaphobes recommend this place. Kids loved it. The house is rustic but not in a loud and creaky or splinterty wood kind of way, so our two boys were able to have fun around the house without hurting themselves or making too much noise. There was another family with kids staying in the adjoining section of the house and we couldn't hear them (hopefully vice versa). Location is so ideal since it's a 5 minute walk from the downtown area and a few minute drive from the tourist attractions. The house had everything you would need for meals, laundry, and sleep. It's got a woody charm but not over the top nautical. Only odd thing was that some bedroom doors had deadbolt locks on the outsides with no way to open from inside the rooms. Not sure if those are a historical thing but they seem like a bad idea for safety and evn my 10 year pointed out that it seemed odd. Mostly important, Gerard was extremely attentive and great to work with and kept us informed of everything we needed to know throughout our stay. Already started talking on day 2 of our stay about returning next year.

Perfect Mystic property

This is by far the best VRBO property we have ever rented. Perfect location to down town and seaport museum. Easy walking. The townhouse was extremely well equipped, clean with high quality bedding and towels, washer and dryer, etc. And Gerard from management stayed in close contact with us.

Great House In Great Location

I booked the property based off of reviews and our stay did not disappoint. The house was as advertised, a great location just a short and enjoyable walk to Downtown Mystic. It’s also just a short ride from the Seaport and Aquarium. The property manager was excellent and communicated with us every day. I highly recommend this comfortable and convenient home as a perfect place to stay. Thank you!

Great Stay at Avery

We had a simply wonderful stay at the Avery property in Mystic. The house was impeccably clean as was Gerard’s other property we rented last August. The house is very comfortable and has a great dining area! The bedrooms are comfortable as are the bathrooms. The location was great and we had a very short walk to the bridge and shops as well as to the viewing areas for the boat parade! We will most definitely rent from Great Gull again and again!

Just PERFECT!

We liked the location as it is in walking of all downtown Mystic and on the outskirts enough~ It’s basically 2 masters with bathrm attached, loved that in addition to the twin room. Plenty of living space and large kitchen for our group. Very well decorated and comfortable~ Everyone was able to adjust the temperature in their own room as needed and with four women with variety of likes that made it comfortable for all. Attention to detail with all new accoutrement~ Host is extremely attentive~ Thank you for our time and your details!!
