We enjoyed a wonderful, peaceful and idyllic 4 days at the Bernat winery retreat. The retreat was lovely, the upstairs bedroom and balcony with comfortable chairs to sit, relax and enjoy the views very special. A lot of thought has gone into providing everything you could possibly want. We were able to pick heirloom tomatoes and lettuce from the hosts organic farm to have with the cheese board and bottle of Bernat wine provided by the hosts on our arrival. Shawnda and Sam were very approachable and friendly and did everything possible to ensure we enjoyed our time there-thank you so much. We would love to return.

Beautiful place to find some quiet in wine country. The host was incredible. They offered their garden goodies and we did yoga in the morning next to the vineyard. What a lovely place to stay!

The house and property are so peaceful, comfy, and beautiful! We were close enough to Grand to ride the bikes Shawnda provided or walk. Shawnda is an exceptional host! I would recommend this home to anyone visiting Los Olivos.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We loved the retreat. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. The wine (from owner’s vineyard) was delicious, as was the apple cake Shawnda baked for us. Definitely take the farm and vineyard tour during your stay. The retreat is also very well located and an easy drive to several small towns and many wonderful vineyards. Shawnda and Sam are delightful and perfect hosts.

Wow, from the moment we arrived to the time we had to leave, we had the most amazing stay. Everything was so comfortable. The town of Los Olivos was fun to explore with incredible food and shops. We would definitely love to come back!!!

Gem of a getaway!

Our stay was incredible! A great weekend getaway in a quiet, relaxing and beautiful place with all the right touches. The last minute tour was such a cool vibe and the organic veggies for dinner were amazing. Great location with great hosts, Shawnda and Sam. Charm and Amazing Hospitality

Cutest place with the best hosts we’ve ever experienced. Everything was perfect. The hosts communication was phenomenal and the welcome was like a 5 star resort. Very personal. Everything was beautiful and comfortable and the location is unbeatable. I would recommend this to everyone I know and meet if going to Los Olivos or to Wine Country.

Perfect Tranquil Getaway

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this property, and it was everything I remembered and more. It’s in the country, right on a vineyard, and it’s so peaceful and relaxing. Sam and Shawnda, the owners, left us some lovely wine and charcuterie to start our visit off right, and downtown Los Olivos is just a short walk away. It was just what I wanted and needed, and I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful weekend and even though it rained, everything was amazing. Adorable little cottage in the vineyard and the host made it so special with all the extra touches. We will definitely be back and wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

Delightful!

All we could ask for, great accommodations. The host Sam was so helpful and his restaurant is a must stop as well.No need to drive to Napa, it is all in Los Olivos. We will return.

Absolutely Lovely

This was our second visit to the vineyard retreat and it was just as memorable as the first! It's so wonderful to return to a place that feels like home, with thoughtful hosts like Shawnda and Sam making it extra special. They really do go above and beyond to make their guest feel special. The combination of comfort, beauty, and hospitality was the perfect recipe for a relaxing getaway. We definitely plan to visit again.

Our second stay and we still love it!

This is a lovely space. The vineyard and mountain views are wonderful as well as the quiet atmosphere. It is a short drive to the center of Los Olivos and very near Solvang and Santa Ynez. Everything is provided for a stay including coffee, creamer & washer detergent. The Brenat Retreat is a great location for visiting wineries. We'll definitely be back again.

Wonderful, first rate experience

I loved everything about the Winery Retreat, from the bottle of wine and cheese plate waiting for us, the special toiletries, the cozy cottage, the lovable winery pets, and the location so close to Los Olivos. The host Shawnda was very sweet and communicative... Everything was perfect!
