Great House and location!

Our third time at the Salty Breezes big house. We loved it. This year we went off season in October. Great walks on the beach. Comfortable beds, cozy rooms, newly done bathrooms and very clean. Our group was 5 for a girls' week-end, but this is a great house for families too. We will be back!

It's a magical place

Everything was perfect! The house is situated across from a beautiful beach with gorgeous views of the water from the 2nd floor and sounds of the waves all around. The house is equipped with all basic items required for a comfortable stay. It has character as well as two recently redone bathrooms. The lovely owners live right next door and they are available quickly for any questions or issues, or even a chat on the local wildlife. We loved our month in paradise and hope to return again soon! Great stay at the Salty Breeze!

We couldn’t be more pleased with our stay at Salty Breeze! From the exceptional and friendly service of our hosts, the Clintons, to the charming and historic cottage and the great location, it was just right. We were greeted by Mr. Clinton at our arrival and his friendliness and warm welcome were a great start. The location being right by the beach was great for walking and we could awaken in the morning to see the sunrise over the ocean. We were close to Portsmouth and all it has to offer and the Rye Beach community is charming. The cottage itself is a lovely family place with beautiful old pine floors, newly renovated bathrooms, and comfortable spaces. Overall, we would definitely return here on any future trip to this area.

Wonderful beach house experience

This home is directly across the street from the ocean. You can hear the waves and smell the ocean easily when the windows are open. There is a high mound across the street which is wonderful to walk on. The beach is rocky but also has plenty of sand during low tide and when the ocean is going “out”. Had plenty of time to enjoy the sand and ocean. This particular beach was extremely sparsely populated, so, it was like a private beach almost. Hardly anyone on it. The home is very comfortable and extremely clean and the landlord has thought of everything. The location is a very desirable part of Rye where it is quieter and more rustic but plenty close to lots of activities at Hampton Beach, Portsmouth and So Maine. The house remains quite cool even when it is quite warm and humid outside. I was very impressed with the home. It was well worth the money. The landlord was very nice, down to earth and easily available - not that I needed him for anything. I give this home a 10 out of 10 and I am known to be a very tough grader.

Perfect Family Stay

Our family, daughter, son in law , 2 granddaughters myself and husband stayed for a week. The location was perfect and we enjoyed everything about the house. The host was responsive and easy to reach and communicate with. I recommend to anyone who loves the beach and quiet area LLM 8/28/21

Summer beach getaway

We loved the location and how big the house was. We were able to walk the beach everyday and watch the changing of the tides. The kids loved walking the rocks and finding shells. The house had lots of room for 6 people to spread out. We loved all the sitting areas and 2 TV options for our teens. The big dinning room provided get game time around it. We enjoyed having the garage for all our bikes too. It was nice to not have to drive them around on the bike rack all week and be able to get them out of the salty air. The location was great to bike to Hampton and go downtown. The house was well stocked and had nice touches throughout it.

Ocean view in NH

Really great location. You can walk to beach across the street as long as you can hike over some rocks. Or you can easily bike/drive to multiple beaches in two miles that have walk in access. So much to do in the area, you just need to do some planning ahead to get whale watching tickets, beach tickets etc. Location of the house is near everything but out of the center of the hub bub so it is quieter. Bedrooms upstairs involve steep stairs, but there is a bedroom on the first floor and plenty of space to spread out. House is great with all the usual amenities. Owner was great and accessible. Very clean. We had groceries delivered with insta cart and food with door dash, so if you don't want to do anything but look at the beach you can do that too.

Quaint house, great location

We truly enjoyed our time at this property. It is just as the photos show. The location across the street from the beach is great. You can also walk to a great lobster restaurant nearby. The host was great about responding to questions and making sure we had what we needed. Thank you

House has character and is great for 6 with lots of room to spread out. The owner lives next door and is very friendly and lets you know he is there to serve you and to make your stay enjoyable. I will rent again if we head to the New Hampshire coast next year.

Ideal Location

The location was perfect for my family. Just down the road are the beaches, eateries, convenience stores, a grocery store, ice cream shops...it's all there. The cottage/home satisfied my family needs by offering extraordinary space, lots of sunlight, a cool breeze always flowing through the house for comfort and breathtaking views of the ocean from the second floor. The owners of the property are very caring and accommodating. We loved it all....!!

Spacious beach house in great location

This was our second time staying in the main house at Salty Breeze for our "Girls' Week". Once again had a fantastic time with no hassles. Plenty of beds for all of us. The beach is right across the street, so no need to drive and deal with packing up and parking. The back patio is private and a great place to gather. The house is very clean with 2 bathrooms and a handy outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand. We Ubered to Portsmouth for dinner and cocktails and Petey's is less than a mile down the street for fish and clams. Plenty of free parking for our 6 cars. Lots of other attractions are only a few miles down the road. The Clinton family owners (Gerry, Mercy, and Mark) are gracious people and available for any issues or questions. We hope to return again!

Rye Beach

Our Christmas was cozy and fun in the house we rented. Even with the miserable below freezing temperatures, the house was pleasantly warm. Everything was newly renovated and all new appliances, comfortable beds, etc. The manager Mark and owner Judy were very helpful and friendly and since we were the first to stay, wanted our feedback for any improvements. All of us enjoyed our stay and would certainly rent the house again! Thank you

Cute Cottage in a Beautiful Location

This cottage was much bigger than I thought it would be; such a pleasant surprise! Very clean and Mark was so helpful and accommodating. You can walk right across the street to the beach and watch a beautiful sunrise. We will be back!

Lovely home!

The location is perfect. Right across the street from a beautiful beach and very close to the restaurants and shops of Portsmouth. The upstairs has a wonderful view of the ocean and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was very relaxing.

Originally this prime vacation spot was known as The Salty Breeze Inn during the 1930's through the 1070's by the previous owners. 40 years, 3 generations later, The Clinton Family continue to own, invest and operate this beautiful, Beachfront property with pride and attention to detail. You are part of our Family while you are here! We speak fluent English, Spanish, Portuguese and conversational French as a side note. Location, Location, Location! We are located directly ON Foss Beach in Rye, NH. You are a 25 foot walk (8.3 meters) from the front door of this home to the Beach sand! We are also located to many other beaches in the surrounding area (Sawyer Beach, Wallis Sands, Pirates Cove, Jenness Beach, North Hampton State Beach, Rye Harbor, Hampton Beach, etc) Just park your car in our private garage and relax! That is what vacation is all about, isn't it?

As someone who now lives in the city, I cannot tell you how much I miss smelling the cool, refreshing, Salty Breeze and ocean air - and you will notice it the minute you arrive at our home in Rye Beach. Not only that, but the town of Rye is the most desirable and exclusive area in New Hampshire (if not all of New England) to raise a family and retire in. Yet, despite all that, you still feel you are getting away from it all, as they say, without sacrificing things to do and plenty of activities at hand. Whether it's sun bathing, making sand castles, surfing, fishing, kayaking, sight seeing - you name it! The fact that you are on a Holiday or vacation for the week will not be lost on you while you are here as our guest!
