Esta cabaña privada, se encuentra en el extremo este de St John en la comunidad Privateer Bay. Atendemos a parejas que buscan un lugar privado y relajante con espacio para estirarse, a familias pequeñas que buscan un hogar seguro con fácil acceso a una playa privada, o a dos parejas o un pequeño grupo de amigos que buscan compartir la diversión y el costo. Esta cabaña de 2 dormitorios y 2. 5 baños tiene todo lo que necesita para perderse en sus vacaciones. Hay todo lo que necesitas; una cocina completamente equipada, muebles hermosos y cómodos, internet, una piscina salina privada y toda la paz que necesita.

Si decide abandonar esta hermosa propiedad, está a menos de media hora en coche de las famosas playas del lado norte, como Trunk Bay, Maho Bay, Cinnamon Bay y Hawksnest. O puede quedarse y relajarse en una de las playas más cercanas a nosotros, incluidas Hansen, Long y Haulover Bay. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing getaway, then look no further. The view from the property is world-class. The property itself with the pool was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. It’s nice and private, away from the busyness of Cruz Bay. Coral Bay is about a 10-15min drive. The north shore beaches add another 10-15mins and Cruz Bay is 30-45mins away. The drive anywhere you go is super scenic. A bit bumpy at times but nothing a jeep can’t handle. I’ve been to St John many times over the last 20 years and this is my favorite place that I’ve stayed. The East End and Coral Bay areas have some great beaches with awesome snorkeling. I would absolutely love to stay here again.

Everything was as described. St. John is a gorgeous island to visit and we loved every minute. This VRBO is secluded and incredibly relaxing. We had no issues with anything and would be beyond fortunate to visit this rental again. Perfect for two couples or any group of 4 really. Best shower I’ve had on an island by far. Pressure and temperature is similar to a mainland hotel. Had everything we needed for meals at ‘home’ too. Absolute gem of a rental.

We were looking for a private and romantic place to stay for our honeymoon, and Long Bay Getaway was absolutely perfect! We were there during deep off-season and the host was great about letting us know ahead of time that some things on the island may be closed or have reduced hours. He was great about letting us know what to expect from staying somewhere so remote this time of year. We absolutely loved everything about our stay!!

East End Is Quiet Paradise

My wife and I stayed at Estate Hansen Bay in early August, 2025, for four nights. We've never experienced such completely quiet evenings. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Coral Bay and 45 to Cruz Bay, so if you stay here get some groceries in town or at the market in Coral Bay (actually, that market was better than the one in Cruz Bay). If you're interested in anything like nightlife or late dinners, you're better off in Cruz Bay, but having been on the island before, we were very happy to visit beaches and the Reef Bay Trail by day, get lunch out, and then have dinner at the villa. It has a fully functional kitchen and a grill. If you're looking for a beautiful and serene place to stay, this is it!

Trip Of A Lifetime!!!

Wow! It’s hard to find the words to share our gratitude to Ken and his wife for opening up their home to us! We quickly learned how lucky we were to be staying on the East Side with a private beach! Snorkeling was AMAZING as we started or finished our day alone on the beach right in front of the house. We saw nurse sharks, turtles, stung rays and tons of amazing fish including Queen Angels right in front! Other beaches had jelly fish and we had none which was a huge plus, not saying they don’t travel…While all the other beaches were crowded ours was our own to enjoy! This is worth its weight in gold! The house was clean and had EVERYTHING we needed including beach towels and an ice chest! We used the pool twice a day if not more; it was bigger than I had imagined being that it is described as a dipping pool. My husband and I floated comfortably with plenty of room! The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast each morning and if we decided not to go out to eat, everything we needed for dinner. I can’t think of one thing to say negative about our experience in this beautiful home! Ken even has someone on the island to reach out to in an emergency, which we didn’t need to use. Jeremy still text me when we arrived to introduce himself which I appreciated. I learned quickly that everyone has a different expectation of vacation on St John, we didn’t want crowds and were willing to drive a few extra minutes to enjoy the privacy. 2 weeks wasn’t long enough!

Best beach vacation

Overall this was such an amazing house and even though the location was a bit awry for me at times by the 3rd day the roads didnt bother me a bit. The house itself was beautiful and was so comfortable to come back to each day/night. I even once this week said that i could permanently live at this location because i loved the house so much. The private beach was a bit rocky but was paradise for us when needed. We will be back in the future for another beautiful stay

Amazing View

We loved the house and property. The nearby beach has great snorkeling and was a real bonus. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool during the day and in the evening. Perfect for nature lovers and visitors who want a peaceful, safe place off the beaten path. We really enjoyed the wildlife on and around the property. Our favorites were the baby goats running up and down the road, the little anoles and the 2 hermit crabs under the stairs. The view from the front deck (and the pool) is amazing! We began each day drinking coffee on the deck and admiring the view. The house is very comfortable and the owners have provided everything needed and more. Because we rented a jeep, we were able to drive all over the island with no trouble. Our family would definitely recommend this rental to others and we look forward to staying here again one day.

Great stay on the East End

We visited St John with our daughter and teen age grandsons. Long Bay Getaway was perfect! We love the quieter east end. We enjoy the wildlife both in and out of the water, and this house provides easy access to both, as well as wonderful beaches. The house has 2 bedrooms downstairs, each complete with full bathrooms. Shower and also tub in the master bedroom. There is a large screened area on this level and the pool is adjacent. The upstairs has a full kitchen, half bath and nice size living area with pull out couch. There is also a 2 sided covered deck with gorgeous views.There is an outside shower as well that was great!We loved the pool and enjoyed the beautiful view from there. The community beach is close enough to walk to. We enjoyed early morning snorkeling and evening walks. Hansen bay beach is also super close and our favorite beach.Clean, comfortable and great communication with owner and manager Jeremy. Already booked for the next trip!

Loved the location The pool and the deck offered great views of long bay. Snorkling was great. House could of been a little cleaner,floors needed a good cleaning. No broom to sweep floor or deck. Beds were not that comfortable maybe time for new mattresses. Overall the house was great but it could have used some minor cosmetic repairs around pool area. The two mini Refrigerators were large enough to hold all our food and frozen items. If you're looking for remote location and great views this is the house but hoping it gets a few minor fixes and updates to beds.

Relaxing and peaceful

What a lovely week we had out on the East End. Very comfortable house with great decks and a wonderful plunge pool. The house is well situated to catch cool breezes and watch the sun set over Bordeaux Mountain. When we didn't feel like driving to other beaches, walking to the beach at the bottom of the hill was perfect.

This was our second time at Long Bay. We love the serenity. The views from the porch of this house are breathtaking. The private beach is an excellent escape from crowds. It has some top-notch snorkeling straight out from the house. I think I may stay at this place every time I visit St John

Peaceful week on East End

We enjoy this property for it's affordability and amenities- pool, outdoor shower, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, fans/AC, multiple seating areas inside and out, great view, etc. We love the uncrowded beach down the hill for snorkeling, kayaking and watching the sunset. You'll need a Jeep to visit the various beaches and hiking areas, so when you want a day to relax, you have everything you need at the house and short walk to the waterfront. Adventures we enjoyed on St, John: Kekoa half day sail and snorkel & Reef2Peak guided paddleboarding. Snorkel spots we love: downhill to private beach- snorkel to Pelican Rock and Hansen Bay, Haulover Bay & Saltpond Bay.

That time of year! Oh St. John : )

Our yearly visit to St. John was peaceful and pleasant. In This was our first stay on the East End and it was great. Communication from all parties involved prior, during and post stay were appreciated, especially during the storms and power outages. The house was fully supplied with all amenities listed, a pool with a view- just WOW! Thank you Ken for opening up your home to us and making it feel like home. It was truly appreciated!

Amazing stay

Humble but beautiful house in a gorgeous quiet part of St John. Pool was perfect after a long day of hiking, beaching, snorkeling. Gorgeous views from decks and pool. Kitchen was fine, grill was useful. Great wifi and entertainment systems throughout. The roads to the house are in pretty good condition but the terrain requires a Jeep or other capable vehicle. A sedan wouldn't make it or would be likely to be damaged if it did. Hansen Bay Beach is right there and is great. Salt Pond Bay Beach a little further (25 minutes) but unbelievably beautiful with great snorkeling, turtles everywhere. Annaberg Plantation, Watermelon Cay also amazing and 20 minutes away. Trunk Bay, Maho Bay 30-45 minutes away and more touristed but for good reason. Pretty good, casual dining at Skinny Legs and a few other spots in Coral Bay 15 minutes from the house. Groceries are expensive and limited on the island. Good idea to stock up in Red Hook if coming via car ferry (still expensive but much better selection).

Private retreat

Absolutely amazing. Very comfortable. We had everything we wanted and needed. When electricity went out we still had the grill to cook on. Pool was warm and enjoyable. Beach close walk down up hill back, but good.we definitely want to come back.

Long Bay Getaway Reprise

Returning to Long Bay Getaway felt a lot like coming home. The villa was exceptional and late afternoons & evenings were spent in the pool, by the grill or eating dinner & strumming guitar on the deck. Days were filled with fun in the east end bays and visits to Coral Bay. We ate a few meals out but mostly at the Villa and had everything we needed. Can’t wait to return next year! Thanks to Ken & his family and Jeremy for wonderful, relaxing vacation!

This was one of our favorite stays. We travel all over to see National Parks and we stay at VRBO's. We love the East End of St. John Island, more secluded and peaceful. The house is 2 stories with stairs to the front door and stairs down to the 2 bedrooms. Cooked fresh fish on the grill (brought my own grill mat) and the kitchen had anything you needed to cook with. The pool was excellent! I brought a swimming resistant band and did my laps every day. The private neighborhood beach was great for snorkeling. It was a shallow bay so the fish were small and colorful. Like a fish aquarium or fish nursery. Loved it!

Quiet get away

My family and I enjoyed our stay at St. John. Winding through roads with our Jeep was truly an adventure! Who needs rollercoasters (haha). Snorkeling, hiking, beach time, and enjoying nature was time well spent. After a day of these adventure, my children enjoyed pool time each evening and meals with a fabulous view!!! We didn't use the air conditioning because the house has such wonderful window ventilation that a cool breeze combined with ceiling fans made sleeping comfortable. With sounds of nature all around (mostly goats), our stay was fabulous.

We absolutely loved our stay at Long Bay Getaway! It is a great location, away from it all yet close enough to Coral Bay to head there for dinner and the North Shore beaches or Salt Pond for the day. It was a fun drive to the place and we were glad to have a jeep. We loved the pool and enjoyed every evening swimming until the sun went down. It was a very comfortable temperature! The kitchen was well equipped and the grill worked for dinners. The bedrooms cooled down well with a combination of fans and ac and the beds were comfortable. We also really enjoyed snorkeling at Long Bay and spent some time there. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

Hi, Ken here to help you enjoy your stay! I am available to respond to your needs. We are a family of four with two grown boys and we're from Memphis, Tennessee. We also travel our fifth family member, Joy's brother Isaac. Three of us are musicians and we all love Memphis music - classic soul, blues, rock, and folk music. We're educators, social workers, servers, and event people, but on St. John, we're beachy and hikey and divey - we LOVE nature!

We fell in love with this home when we stayed here a few years ago and have made it our special place - quiet, secluded, adventurous, yet still easily accessible, our family loves Long Bay Getaway for the calming pool, amazing views, dark nights, nice grill, musical instruments, large decks, outdoor dining, and just sweeping views of greater Coral Bay.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Hanging on the side of the pool watching the sun set in the west mountains, dining on the deck as the sun rises across the mountain behind us, the jeep drive out to the East End complete with deer, donkeys, and goats (they make us laugh), all make Long Bay Getaway particularly relaxing - away from everything yet easy to just go into town too.

You will also enjoy meeting "Chippie" the Pearl-Eyed Thrasher who just wants a bite of your snack.
