Stay was nice, the description explained the work going on the property (rebuilding the pool) so it wasn't a surprise thankfully otherwise I would have been a little upset. Enjoyed the stay weather was nice, and didn't have any red flags this year. The beachfront views were nice even just being on the second floor.

Beautiful Views

We loved sitting on the balcony every morning and evening for meals. The view was really the highlight of this unit and why we chose this rental. The downside was the mold issue in the bathroom. We just ignored it and enjoyed the great weather and location.

We appreciate your suggestion on the hooks for the towels. That certainly is an easy fix for our staff? I would love to know your suggestions on upgrades so we can share this with the owners. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view of the beach and gulf was wonderful, relaxed every evening while eating our supper, and in the mornings for breakfast on the balcony enjoying the view and sweet sound of ocean waves. The rental was perfect size for my husband and I. Plenty of bath towels/washcloths, comfortable bed with an amazing view from the bedroom window. There was construction happening but it really was not bad and didn’t bother us at all. There is beach service available which is very convenient. Full kitchen with a great ice maker, we never had to purchase ice. Very short walk to beach. Highly recommend

The ceiling in the shower is moldy looking. It will just wipe off. The handle to flush toilet is loose. But overall it’s a very nice, comfortable place to stay!

Birthday Getaway

Sandestin Resort Community is large and well maintained. The Resort is located near beach, shopping and entertainment. Traveling alone, I felt safe my entire stay. The condo was clean and accurate to the listing. The beach view from the condo is amazing! A few steps to the beach or the pool. Platinum Vacations, Property Manager did an awesome job keeping me informed of check in process. Due to a construction mishap, a water pipe burst and the building was without water for a day. I made one call to Property Manager, they responded quickly and once issue was resolved, they applied a credit to my account for the inconvenience. If I decide to visit the area again, I would stay at Beachside Two again.

Great view, depressing unit.

Dirty carpet, ugly, old furnishings, black mark on ceiling from vent, dimly lit, ice maker didn't work, clock didn't work. Not worth the money. I won't do this again.

Only thing that could use attention is the dishwasher needs some attention, as the door doesn’t open and close very well, thought I might accidentally break it as the inside plastic casing is cracked. And the refrigerator is a bit noisy, thinking it was the ice maker. Other than that, great condo!

Would not recommend

Property is old and needs of lots of renovation. Office chairs in the living room? shower did not drain. no beach chairs and umbrella. Mattress on the bed was so very hard and uncomfortable. Couch was filthy with stains. TV was too small. Not many kitchen utensils at all, could not cook. Balcony was crowded with dated furniture. The location was the best part of this unit. It could be a real gem but right now the place is a mess.

This property has had a resent upgrade the unit with new LVP flooring and new bedding, We do recommend that guests do look at pictures to property so they know what they are renting. We do not provide beach chairs or umbrellas. But they are available to rent. The property is equipped with all the utensils for a party of 4. I am not sure why you were not able to cook since the stove and oven seem to be in good working order after you left . I checked and there was plenty of cooking utensils on location. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the tv size in the property. Most people come to a beach front condo for the beach. I will bring it to the attention of the owner to see if they would like to upgrade to a larger tv. Not sure what mess your referring to since you never called in during your stay about any cleaning issues on your arrival. We do have staff to resolve any issues that may come up. We are truly sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. Thank you for your feedback and will address any of the issues you brought up.

Not worth it pick something else

The security guards and most other staff are extremely rude we were turned away 3 times and talked down to before I ask to speak with someone else and the new guy said oh this is easy here is your parking pass lol There is black mold on the ceiling of the shower kitchen is far from equipped king size mattress is sitting on two twin box springs and is by far the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on prepare to leave your vacation sore the washing machine broke and flooded the entire unit on the last two days soaked and all of my things I also cleaned the whole mess my self and now I have to drive home with smelly wet clothes in the car and they don’t want to do anything to compensate for our ordeal

We apologize for resort security and their rudeness. Parking passes are given when correct information is presented upon arrival. The mildew on the shower ceiling is due to high coastal humidity and hot showers with poor exhaust air flow. We will have our maintenance look into this. It's common to have two twin box springs under a King Mattress but we will investigate the bed comfort. We have staff 7 days a week that could address any of these issues but we weren't made aware until the last two days of the 10 day stay. We sent staff over as soon as we were contacted regarding the washing machine leak. Our maintenance was unable to do a complete initial investigation as washing machine spin cycle and the dryer was still being used. It was asked to check this out after your departure. A 2-day refund was demanded or else a bad review would be given. Unfortunately the guest failed to follow her contract in contacting us about issues she lists until the washing machine leaked.

However, the unit could definitely use some upgrades for sure. The blender would barely mix a liquid drink. The bathroom ceiling had mold on it and the shower backed up every time one of us took a shower which was gross. The bed... oh man the bed. It is like sleeping on a wooden box - no joke. It is by far the most uncomfortable bed I have ever been on.

We have a full time housekeeping and meaintenance staff avaiable to handle any issue at any time. I will also speak with the owner about the mattress. Typically, we wait to see if there are several complaints since mattresses are subjective. We have not had a complaint in this regard in this condo but will keep a good watch. Remember when you book directly with Platinum Vacations you will get a return guest discount. You will also avoid having to pay an extra service fee that the large 3rd party companies charge. Beachside II - okay stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our stay at Beachside II was okay. The condo was nice enough. The bedroom needs more lighting and the condo does not have one single ceiling fan. The toilet handle was not attached and the doors to the washer and dryer are difficult to open and close. The patio light did not work either. We had an issue with the air and management sent someone out within a few hours to repair it. The actual building itself is not equipped to cater to handicap guests. There are codes to every door and steps with almost every turn you make in the building which is a huge overkill. There isn't even a ramp to the beach but three different flights of steps with a gate that requires a code. We had to carry our huge wagon up and down those steps during our stay and it was a huge inconvenience. We went during the off season and the beach was still really crowded. I can't even imagine how crowded it would be in the Summer. I wouldn't stay here again but it worked for our 3 day trip.

Watching the Waves

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The waves went from calm to surfable over the few days of our stay; we enjoyed watching them. Perfect condo for two with a beach view. This space is located on the second floor with a second level parking that was convenient.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was very nice and clean looking when we got there, 2 giant cockroaches on the floor in the living room . Did laundry the dryer was making a God awful noise so I cleaned a bunch of lint out and fixed the part that was flipping around but it needs to get replaced . Then went to take a shower, on top of the drain was a wad of hair, cleaned it up finished shower and noticed all the black mold on the ceiling in the shower like it had been painted over before ... so our first night there was kind of a dissolution

Wonderful stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful room and very clean! Convenient room to get to the beach and pool. The only complaint that I would have was that the water to spray off your feet after walking in from the beach didn’t work on and off while we were there. Everything else was perfect! We had a great stay! I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or family member.

Reviewer Comments: The bed was WAY to hard fold out couch bed was way more comfortable but not good Moved a night stand beside the bed to put clock and chargers on and found bandaids and trash No toilet paper Remote did not work for living room tv Great view and rest of the condo was excellent If owners would just get new bed and clean better yes it would be perfect little getaway

Our First Vacation to Miramar Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Beachside II. The view is beautiful and the unit was nice. However, the bathroom has a lot of black mold, the toilet paper holder and bath towel holder were not secured well to the wall and kept falling off. We had to reattach them often. The folding doors to the washer and dryer were difficult to open and the slats were falling out. We were disappointed by the conditions of the bathroom and the washer and dryer closet.
