Above the Books is a beautiful, spacious and sumptuously appointed 2-bedroom apartment. Located a block from the Village Green and NYC bus stop, and steps from Woodstock's superb dining, shopping, art, and attractions, there's absolutely no need for a car (but plenty of off street parking space if you bring one).

Walk to one of Woodstock's many superb restaurants or late night hot spots. Take in a concert at the Colony Cafe, a performance at the Woodstock Playhouse or an independent film at Tinker Street Cinema -- all just blocks away. Hike nearby nature trails in Woodstock's Comeau Park or take a dip in the Mill Stream. Rent a bike at nearby Overlook Bikes and explore Cooper Lake, Wilson State Park or "The Big Deep" watering hole.

Or just relax in the peace and beauty of your graciously appointed private home, featuring a spacious layout, outdoor sun deck, your own private meditation room, crisp linens, an extensive library of books devoted to personal growth that will not only entertain, but inspire. Wonderful Bachelorette Getaway

Such a wonderful stay. Took my best friend away for a weekend in Woodstock NY for her bachelorette. She wanted a zen, quiet getaway with friends, that is exactly what she got, she loved it!! Had lots of plans but ended up staying in most of the weekend and it was sooo wonderful and relaxing. They also have a book store down stairs and had a Tarot Card reader while we were there, she was amazing! Would definitely love to go back again. Awesome place and awesome hosts! Thank you so much Jeff & Audrey!

Wonderful Stay (3rd time)

This is my third time staying at “Above the Books”. We always have a lovely and relaxing stay and the hosts are very responsive. The apartment is clean and cozy and located in the heart of Woodstock where you can walk to all of the restaurants and shops. My wife and I try to play a yearly trip to Woodstock and have found the perfect place to stay :)

Wonderful Woodstock Getaway

From the moment we met owners Jeff and Audrey in their adorable store below the rental I knew this would be a special place. Located in central Woodstock near everything, this home is cozy and well appointed. The perfect size for the three of us with one huge bedroom and one smaller, a full kitchen and lovely living room. There is a special feeling and we hated to leave. The owners couldn’t be nicer and they thought of everything. The coffee was amazing and we will definitely be back.

A Magical Stay

Perfect spot for exploring Woodstock

Woodstock stay

Wonderful apartment above Mirabai shop, in downtown Woodstock. Location is close to shops and restaurants. Apartment is really cute , clean and comfortable. Would definitely want to stay there again if back in that location.

Perfect Spot in the heart of Woodstock

A perfect location right above a cool book store in short walking distance to shops and restaurants, with a bakery/coffee shop right across the street. Nice to have a place to park too. The apartment is well appointed and very comfortable and the hosts were great. We will definitely stay again when next visiting Woodstock. Thanks!

Location, location, location

This large apartment is centrally located for easy walking in Woodstock. Parking is available. Check in and out were easy. The space is funky and creative, just like the town. Hosts were super responsive. Will absolutely stay again.

Woodstock Perfection.

My friend in I booked this fun apartment above a wonderful bookstore for a weekend trip. The location was perfect. The apartment was comfy and so cute. We loved sitting on the deck! We are only sad that we left before the bookstore opened in the morning. We really wanted to grab some things.

Perfect location and plenty of space!

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We were in Woodstock for an event at Colony Music Hall and this was located right around the corner, walking distance. The space was clean, and the hosts were so kind!

In the heart of woodstock

This property is amazing - you could not possibly be more centrally located. Right on Tinker Street, you are right next to all of the restaurants and shops, and across from the amazing Saturday and Sunday flea market. This is the best rental in town. Description and pictures are 100% accurate.

A bucket list trip better than I could imagine

All of us felt this is the type of property that you feel gives you a huge, warm, hug as soon as you enter. It is quaint, comfortable, decorated perfectly, and has a fantastic outdoor patio. The hosts could not be nicer and are experts on the area. They gave us wonderful tips for hiking and exploring all the magical spots Woodstock holds. We will be back!

Great location

Excellent stay! Location is great for exploring downtown Woodstock. Coffee shop Just Bread across the street. Plenty of parking in back. Perfect weekend spot.
