The Space:
The Seashell Sanctuary #A is situated in the beating heart of Capitola with its scenic wharf, its charming shops, award-winning restaurants and assorted pubs. It will be professionally cleaned and sanitized before you arrive!

The apartment features one bedroom with a queen bed and flat screen TV, a second bedroom with two queens and extra closet space, one bathroom with shower over bath. Included is one designated parking space, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor gas grill on a large outdoor patio area for the whole gang to congregate.

Capitola is an historic little coastal town with plenty of surf spots, boutique shops and a whole host of commercial and entertainment outlets for young and old alike. The town is flourishing yet retains its distinctive and quaint character, beloved by families, dog-walkers, surfers, students and young professionals.

Positioned on the pleasant Pacific coastal strip and the bustling, booming beach zone between Santa Cruz and Pleasure Point to its north and all the way south to Aptos and the Rio del Mar state beach, the Capitola Village Seashell Sanctuary offers the quintessential California surf trip and all the pleasures and joys of this thriving bay!

There is so much to do here with access to amazing surf spots for beginners to advanced, wide open spaces for swimming, paths for long romantic walks and Capitola Beach for soaking up the sun.

Very clean, spacious kitchen and living room. Comfortable beds and nice sized bedrooms. Kids liked that the second bedroom had two full sized beds. Great location. Walking distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants.

We had a great stay! This is a well-located property, clean, and had everything we needed. Having a designated parking spot and a washer/dryer is a huge plus. Most nights were very quiet, but if the neighboring renters are loud, you will hear them.

Property management was incredibly communicative and checked in with us throughout our visit to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The unit was clean, bright, and cheery! There were plenty of fresh clean towels which made it easy to help our three children clean off after multiple trips to the beach each day. We could not find a vacuum as we wanted to tidy up all the sand left from our feet but otherwise the unit is well stocked with kitchen items and everything else needed for a comfortable stay. The only thing that was slightly challenging was the tub is very slippery without a bar or grip on the tub. We put down a towel to keep the kids from sliding. The unit is right in the heart of Capitola village with the beach, restaurants, and coffee shops just a few blocks away. We decided to make this a yearly trip and look forward to staying again!

Capitola Village Gem

We came down for a ling weekend and selected Capitola as our base this time. Couldn't have been more pleased with the location, the covered & reserved off-street parking spot and the unit itself. Easy access,well appointed with nice leather furniture in living room. Comfrtable beds in both rooms. A single bathroom but worked out fine. Kitchen has modern appliances and is well stocked. Large table in eating area. Two block easy walk to Capitoka Beach and an unanticipated 20 minute fireworks show fired off the newly rebuilt pier

Great spot!

Great property close to shopping, food and the beach. Only suggestion would be to have a safety bar installed by the stairs and in the shower.

Fantastic location, comfortable place

It was a comfortable stay for our family of 4. We have 2 teens so we really appreciated that they each got their own bed. The location is amazing. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and beach. The kitchen is big and the family room is also good size. No place is perfect so I’d say the cons were that it’s a densely populated area so the neighbors talking on their patio and upstairs neighbor walking around kept us up one of the three nights. It also got hot in the bedrooms at night and we couldn’t open the windows because of the noise. We only discovered there was a fan in the kids’ closet as we were leaving, so be sure to utilize that if you get hot! Otherwise we were very comfortable and very happy with our stay. Capitola is a very cute seaside town and also quick drive to Boardwalk and Mystery Spot.

Wonderful location

Excellent apartment in the heart of downtown Capitola. Short drive to the boardwalk in Santa Cruz and easy walking to beach, restaurants and activities.

Close to the village and clean

Close to walk to the beach and stores. Inside was clean and as shown in pictures. Our fiat vrbo. Liked vrbo vs a hotel.

Happy Thanksgiving.

As usual the place was very comfortable and cozy. This was our 3rd time staying here. We love everything about the home, location and area. We have never had any issues. We will definitely return.

Capitola Short Stay

We truly enjoyed our stay at this location in Capitola. In fact it brought back memories for us when many years ago we stayed at the rental above, with our then young children, and friends stayed in the current location. Halie was wonderful, the entry was convenient, we were able to enter early because we arrived earlier than we expected. Overall we would stay there again.

Great place, great location!

Six of us stayed here, 2 minor adjustments would help this place out a lot. 1- Add ceiling fans to both bedrooms. There is no ac and it’s hard to move air through the place. Ceiling fans would be an easy fix. 2- We booked this place as a party of 6, please stock accordingly. 4 beach towels was a buzzkill. And exactly 6 bath towels felt a little skimpy. Beyond that, good layout, great location!!

Great location, comfortable stay

Right in the heart of downtown Capitola, this was a great choice to be steps away from the beach and restaurants. I wish there was communication about the check in process before we got there, but I check in still went smoothly. We appreciated the soft towels and toiletries provided. Water pressure was weak in the shower but overall the house was clean and comfortable.

Beautiful & Great location

Really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was fantastic for cooking meals in, and the location was so convenient, close to the village and beach. The upstairs master bedroom is very spacious, with a huge closet and large bathroom, while the other 2 bedrooms downstairs are fairly small. Be aware that the only downstairs bathroom is accessed through one of the bedrooms, so you'll want to be on very friendly terms with all members of your party, esp if you are in the other downstairs room and need to use the bathroom during the night. A very pretty space in a very pretty area. We had a great time.
