We loved the house. The mattresses were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The bathrooms were very nice but the showers didn’t drain well. We took the grates out and the main cup sized drain pipes were full of hair, so we cleaned them. We appreciated the beach chairs and the shibumi.

Great location

The house is very clean and the kitchen well stocked. We rent vacation homes every year and this one was near the top of the list regarding location, cleanliness and responsiveness of the owners.

Awesome

Amazing beach....amazing views....perfect and spacious house for lots of people. We've been coming to topsail for 25 years and this is our favorite property we have stayed at.

This is our second year. I can't say enough about Annette's house. Everything about it is 5 stars. Location, layout, comfortable beds, lots of beach chairs, decor, extra sitting area upstairs with a wonderful view. Thank you for sharing your home.

Wonderful week!

We had the most amazing week! House was beautiful and well stocked. Everyone loved the convenience of being able to walk into town. Weather was perfect! Annette was a very attentive and amazing host. We will definitely be back!

Summer Vacation

House was wonderful. They have done a great job renovating the property and maintaining the upkeep. Location is great. Easy walk to town. Annette is great to work with as we have rented one of her other homes the previous year. House offers a good amount of space and the screened porch is great. We would definitely stay here again.

Sea Turtle Nesting!

We had a lovely stay at “What’s in a name?”. The house is lovely, location is a short walk to the pier and lots of space for everyone. Beautiful weather, beautiful beach, and a sea turtle nested right next to the deck one of the nights. We have a multi-family crew and each had our own space. Will definitely come again.

Great Home for big family!

Annual cousin beach week was a huge success. Family members came from 5 different states. Perfect location just steps to the beach. Annette was amazing with communication and answering any questions. The house is spectacular and has everything you could possibly want or need. Chairs, spices, wine cooler and super comfy beds! Highly recommend!

Amazing location and house!

This home really felt like a home, it had plenty of beach toys, chairs, space, entertainment options, kitchen supplies, etc. and it was also beautiful! We had a large group of multiple families and there were separate spaces for grandparents, me with young kids, and three pre-teens and parents. The location was amazing and so easy to get to from the bridge! The host was fantastic with communication, had a welcome binder of information, and answered any questions we had during our stay! I would 100% come back to this exact house for a future vacation!

Perfect

Great location right on the beach and walking distance to the pier and shopping. 4 families ranging from 8 months to 54 and we all had our own space. Even with the tropical storm no one got on any nerves. Kitchen was very well stocked. Beds were comfortable. A couple little things, like the outdoor hose needs replaced, shower rinse off area should have something with a little more water pressure so the wind doesnt blow the water to the dunes, a floor or box fan would be nice for airflow down the front hall. But overall we had a great time and loved the home. Would definitely recomend

Great oceanfront family house

We had a fabulous week in August here. Annette was great about giving us any info we needed ahead of time. The place is in great shape, completely renovated after a hurricane in 2018. It looks new. Lots of space for a large family. Lots of sand toys and chairs on the back porch! Well stocked kitchen with utensils, spices etc. Great new large capacity washer and dryer. Enough parking for 5 cars. Upstairs can be a bit more of a private area...with one big king room and a single trundlebed room. The bunks (2 twins) are in open area off the upstairs loft...so open to downstairs noise...but just fine for teens who will sleep late through anything. It is close to the pier and shops...also great for teens who may want to walk there. Great views and right next to an active turtle nest! This is one of the nicest places we have stayed in Topsail. We would definitely go back. Highly recommend

Great Vacation Space

This house is fantastic! It's close enough to walk to many places in Surf City but just far enough out to avoid crowds. The house is furnished with many upgrades and a fully loaded kitchen. We had 12 people in our group. Everyone had their own space. The home floorplan is great that beds and baths are away from the main living space. Access to the beach is easy. There were many beach toys, boogie boards, and chairs provided. The host was very gracious and easy to work with. We parked five cars out front, including a full-size pickup, some SUVs, and a minivan. We would definitely return here. We had a super trip. I have two suggestions: -There are black shades that look custom made on many bedroom and bathroom windows. But at night they are see-through. Bring some towels or something to add an extra layer on the windows. -It would be nice to have a walkway from the front to the back deck without going through the home. Think carrying beach paraphernalia. I realize this is very minor. Overall this is by far the best home we have stayed in. We would surely return if we can work it out.
