Amazing home and extremely helpful host. Highly recommend. Great for families with kids. Every board game you could ever want… perfect for rainy days. More beach chairs than you could ever use. Not a bad walk to the beach but the stairs are steep. The sound side access is also an easy walk.

This was our second time staying at the VRBO. It is well equipped in the kitchen and for beach activities with plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and an outdoor shower, which we loved and made good use of. The beds and other furniture were comfortable. We loved the porch overlooking the beach, which has a lot of seating and spent a lot of time out there. It's so convenient to a gorgeous beach, right across the street. The host was very easy to communicate with and responsive to communication. All in all, a wonderful beach rental!

The house was in a great location! Great ocean views! The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, plates etc. The owner was great. The elevator was nice to have especially when arriving and checking out. Beds were comfortable. No complaints

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beachfront home in Surf City! The location was perfect—walking right out to the beach each day was so convenient, and the ocean views were absolutely incredible. There is nothing better than enjoying your morning coffee while watching the sunrise or relaxing on the deck and listening to the waves in the evening.The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was very well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room for our family to relax after spending the day at the beach.Kevin was fantastic to work with—friendly, responsive, and made everything from booking to check-out seamless.This was one of our favorite beach vacations, and this home played a big part in that. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, beachfront getaway in Surf City!

Perfect amount of space, wonderfully appointed in the kitchen for a Thanksgiving meal, and fantasic location. Kevin was welcoming and super accessible. Everything in the place was exactly as described and in fact better than we anticipated. We would absolutely stay again!

This house is across the street from the beach and the views are fantastic! Watch the sunrise from one side and the sunset from the other side. You will find it hard to look out a window and not see a beautiful view. We has 3 couples and we each had our own floor and lots of.privacy. Our host was great and even treated us to a dozen fresh baked donuts. It was a great vacation!!!

This location of this vacation house was amazing! The views of the ocean were magical. A very well equipped home and had absolutely everything we needed to make our vacation perfect. Kevin, the owner, sent us all info needed for a seamless check in and then contacted us to make sure all was good. We would definitely love to stay here again and recommend it 100%.

Our 3-generation family of 9 had a wonderful 1 week stay at the Seldom Thing. Kevin Branden was an ideal host who was always readily available and responsive. We would definitely stay there again.

First time we stayed on the south side of the island. The house was in a great location. Beach access was right across the street, and the boat launch for the kayaks, that came with the house, was a short walk back a side road. This year was memorable because we were able to rescue 2 baby sea turtles on the beach in front of the house! Great location, great rooms, great owner...great experience!
