Welcome to Mangos Hideaway in Beaufort!
We've decided to list our retirement home on VRBO, and we know your family will enjoy it as much as we do.

The Mangos Hideaway is a very private Bungalow near Historic Downtown Beaufort, the Marina, and the Waterfront. It is a lovely Lowcountry 3 bedroom, 2 bath Bungalow home with lots of coastal charm and plenty of beautiful outdoor space to relax on the front porch or huge rear deck. We are family and dog friendly, a 3 minute drive from downtown Beaufort, and only about 10 minutes from the Parris Island Main Gate, making it not only a perfect place to stay for your Beaufort vacation, but an excellent family choice for your stay while visiting your Marine's graduation at PI!

Being located in the beautiful Hermitage / 100 Pines area of Beaufort, SC, our Hideaway is only 2 blocks from the Spanish Moss biking trail, a ten minute bike ride to downtown, or a ten minute drive to the Sands Beach. The Beaufort Boat Ramp is less than 5 minutes away, and our circular driveway makes it easy for you to bring and store your boat safely on the property during your visit.

Aside from being a lovely little oasis and having a great location, it has a housekeeping staff that consistently keeps our Bungalow spotlessly clean for each new guest. These days, it's comforting to know that you will be staying in a completely private, sanitary and safe private home, rather than a public hotel with public shared spaces.

Why is it called "Mangos Hideaway"? It has nothing to do with the fruit!
The Mangos are our 5 adorable Grandchildren, that we enjoy so much - They are Meredith, Arianna, Nora, Gabe and Serenity, and we've set up our Bungalow as a fun place for them to visit!

The Community Noise Ordinance prohibits noise or loud music between 9:00pm and 8:00am. Please respect our neighbors by adhering to those rules.

Renters are not to assume that the fenced yard will contain their dog. Dogs must be walked on leash, and kenneled when unattended.

A maximum of 3 cars are allowed to park on the property. All car or trailer parking is to be on the gravel driveways. Please do not park on the lawn.

Quick Labor Day Family Trip

Adorable, clean, well maintained home! Had everything we needed and lots of “extras”. Boat fit easily in the driveway…boat ramp nearby. Loved being close to Spanish Moss Trail, too! Highly recommend!

Boating weekend

The Hideaway worked out great for our weekend of cruising around the local rivers and waterways. Very convenient to the local marinas and the Bay Street area. The house is very nice, clean, and comfortable.

Lovely Thanksgiving Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. From the moment you walk in you feel at home. The decor is so charming and the home is super clean. Beds are a make or break for me and these were so comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need .The garden was a peaceful way to start your day with a cup of coffee in nature. The only critique is I wish the showers were more powerful. Definitely will stay here again.

Mangos Hideaway Christmas

My husband, son, and I stayed at Mangos Hideaway for Christmas to be close to our daughter and her family. We had a delightful stay at Mangos Hideaway. This is an amazing bungalow / house. There is a front and back living room area with TV's as well as an awesome deck with superb landscaping. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds were very comfortable and the master bath has a walk in shower. It is centrally location and close to the MCRD at Parris Island. Overall an excellent pace to stay.

Great stay!

Loved the location of this place. Although the rental exists in a neighborhood, it is beautiful with lots of established trees (we even saw two Great Horned owls above the rental the night before we left) and it felt quiet and very private. We fully enjoyed the Spanish Moss trail and the free pass to Hunting Island where we hiked on multiple days. One of our favorite places to walk was in Cypress Gardens just down the road from the house. There we saw incredible birds and visited morning, noon, and evening (on different days) to watch the birds leave and return to roost. We also enjoyed the house layout as it easily provided room for two couples and two adult children and we thought the Christmas decorations were such a thoughtful, welcoming touch. Thank you for sharing your happy place!

Beautiful Home, Quiet Safe Neighborhood

The house was impeccable. The owners thought of every detail and everything was super organized. As a single woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. A sheriff lives across the street and parks his car visibly in the driveway, adding to the safety of the neighborhood. If you appreciate amazing landscaping, this is your place! It has a great deck in back as well. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Beautiful house in the perfect location!

This house is just as it appears in the listing (even better)! It's in the perfect location to enjoy downtown Beaufort, as well as Hunting Island, Port Royal, etc. Very close to the Spanish Moss Trail which is great for biking and walking. House is very well appointed and comfortable. Great communication with owners (although everything was in perfect condition)! Would definitely go back!

Perfect location in a quite neighborhood!

Home was more than expected! Well appointed home in a quite neighborhood with a wonderful back deck and backyard. Even though there are neighbors, the backyard was private and shaded. . We did not cook while visiting, but the kitchen is very well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals, even a nice grill on the back deck. Kitchen also offered two coffee makers - we loved the option of a full pot with the traditional coffee maker or having a single cup with the Keurig. Home and property are decorated beautifully and very clean, master-bed was very comfortable (only bed used during our stay), provided ton of DVD's, books and games- no detail was missed! The home is perfect for families especially with the two living areas. We chose the home because of it's proximity to downtown Beaufort, backyard for our dog and space for my husband to work remote during the week. Ken was quick to respond to any questions and easy to communicate with. Would give more than 5 stars if we could! Highly recommend and will book again for our next visit to Beaufort!

Exactly what we needed

Love this house. So comfortable and in a perfect location.

We stayed 8 nights! Bed was most comfortable I have ever slept in. Close to everything. We visited Port Royal, downtown Beaufort, Hunting Island. We are considering relocating and this gave us a small idea what it would be like.

Highly recommend!

Our stay at MANGO's was absolutely wonderful! We wanted to "try on" Beaufort, so we stayed for a month and couldn't have been happier. The place was was well-laid-out, well-stocked, immaculately clean, and so close and convenient for all the things we wanted to explore. We have two young kids and a dog, and my parents even flew down for a week. Everyone could sleep and relax comfortably. Our hosts were super responsive to any needs or questions, and communication was exceptional. We would highly recommend and happily stay again.
