Riverfront cabin on Chauga River "Boarhogs Place"

Our cabin is located on the Chauga River and is very private. There is a great swimming hole to relax in or you can sit by the river, or just sit on the porch because it is right in the back yard. This is a perfect location if you are interested in river rafting (Chattooga River rafting is nearby), if you enjoy hiking, fishing or just enjoy the outdoors this is the place for you. We are close to Clemson, Cashiers NC, Highlands NC and Clayton GA and Chattooga Belle Farms. Hope to host you soon!!

This is the property if you want to get away for a few days, Quiet relaxation was the vibe.Nice clean property with fine grounds to relax and maybe do a little fishing.My wife enjoyed the fact she will be able to make some jam from the grapes we picked.A definite return on the future with plenty to do and see in the area.

The pictures do not do this property justice! There is a lot beside the house that we were able to set some tents up for an additional fee, a fire pit and the creek was a fun lazy river and a swimming hole. The host even brought us floats and water shoes to borrow. We will be back again!

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was so quiet and relaxing. The river is amazing right in the backyard. We would definitely stay again. The owner, Kay is also awesome. She was super easy to communicate with and very helpful!

This cabin is the perfect getaway for a weekend trip. This was by far the cleanest rental that I have ever experienced. We will definitely be coming back!

Excellent stay from start to finish. Communication with the owner was clear, timely, and well-organized, which made everything easy. The property is exactly as advertised, but the small details the owner put in place noticeably improved the experience.The river is the highlight. It provided for a peaceful setting, easy access, and great fishing (we caught plenty). The campfire area right along the river is well-positioned, and the open landing space gave us room to spread out and enjoy the outdoors.Will return without hesitation!

Our family had such a great getaway here. The river is fun, the fish were biting, and the property is fun to explore. Definitely a wonderful time for the entire family

Wonderful Retreat

This property had a great fishing spot, relaxing stream, and porch to nap on. Had a great time getting away from real life for a few days.

loved staying here. peaceful and quiet

stayed here to go white water rafting. It was very nice. Owners are very sweet. Bed is comfortable. isolated which is very nice for a getaway.

River Getaway Stay

Beautiful cabin on the river, beautiful area! Relaxing in and around the river was simply fantastic. The area offers amazing waterfalls and hiking. The owners were so warm and friendly, such a pleasure to meet! My husband and I will certainly be visiting again.

1. Very little privacy. People walking outside the house on road just 10 feet from master bedroom window. 2. In the back yard people walking in and out of waterway through the property.3. Bathroom sink was out of order.Could not use it to brush my teeth and had to use kitchen sink.4. Ramp from the river to up hill to the house was not easy to carry fishing gear. 5. Plus to grill you would need to carry all the food up and down this hill.Not easy for seniors.

I’m sorry you weren’t pleased with your stay. We had guest at other places and they all use the river and swimming hole plus I live on the same road and walk to my mailbox. All the windows have privacy shades on them. As far as the sink you should have reached out immediately for us to come take care of the issue.

Fall getaway

Enjoyed the stay. Ideal for a relaxing weekend. Quiet, secluded and peaceful. Really enjoyed the sound of the river flowing in the evenings. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Our daughter loved the swing over the water!

We had a wonderful weekend at Boarhogs Place. Kay was very quick to communicate and very accommodating. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. I especially appreciated all the extra toiletries and coffee provided. The host was very thoughtful. My husband loved fishing in the river and we got to make the memory of our daughter catching her first fish. We will definitely stay again!

Great little cabin

Nice little cabin, very clean, located centrally so there’s a lot of places around & within an hour or so drive. Kay was so nice to work with again. We have stayed in 2 of her places & both did not disappoint. She even stocked with groceries for a small fee.

Great hideaway

Brought the hubby for a quick getaway. Loved sitting on porch rocking and listening to creek. So peaceful. Great place to recharge before going back to reality.

A Lovely Mountain Stream Stay

This mountain stream cabin surpassed expectations! It's in a wonderful location with a nice variety of activities in the nearby area, and lots of games and equipment for use on the property. It is very nicely furnished and immaculate. We enjoyed sitting on the outdoor porch listening to the water passing by every night!

Mountain retreat

The property was amazing! The picture does not do it justice. The outdoor space was so inviting and relaxing and romantic for couples. The wifi signal was strong and allowed you to use your modern conveniences. Cant wait to get back there!

Amazing!

Perfect tucked-away cabin on the river. We spent a lot of time on the back porch swing, listening to the river and watching the rain. It was so relaxing! The owners are the nicest people on the planet and go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to be back soon!

Perfect anniversary getaway

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend to celebrate our 10th anniversary. It was very relaxing and peaceful. The property is beautiful and the house was very clean. Kay was helpful and easy to get in touch with. The back porch is so nice with the river view - perfect for a cup of coffee. We’d love to go back again!
