The location is perfect for access to some of the best surf breaks in Newport Beach. 52-56 lifeguard towers and the surf was on fire. This is a beach property and looks as though it has been heavily used as a party spot. So, if you’re in to that it’s perfect.

SoCal Perfection

From check-in to check-out, this VRBO met all of our needs. The proximity to beach was amazing for a few in our group who had never been to the ocean; the sleeping accommodations were perfect with comfortable beds and fans for the warmer weather on Friday. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Short stay

We didn’t actually sleep here but used this as a place to stay during the day while we were having work done at our house. It’s close to the beach which so so great. Parking is tight but it’s a fun place for a small family or friends to stay.

Near the beach - Newport Beach

Great location short walk from the beach. Property was clean and just as described in the listing. Like other reviews note, every step of upstairs guests can be heard from the downstairs unit. Also, the bed frames in the two-queen room make a ton of noise - enough noise to wake up a sleeper if another person moves. This would be a quick fix by removing or adjusting the bed frames.

Great location

The house was in a great location. The kitchen had everything we needed. The property manager was very responsive to issues. Hot tub was awesome. Having the garage was great since parking can be tricky. We did hear our upstairs neighbors very easily. But it wasn’t bothersome. We left the windows open all the time because there isn’t an AC. The provided fans were helpful. Overall it was a wonderful experience!

Hi Jacob, thank you so much for staying with us! We have great wi-fi at this home now! We are unsure of what you are talking about regarding the neighbor...but this has never been reported before. It may have been other short-term renters that you are talking about and of course, this means it is not an ongoing issue as people come and go. Rest assured, we offer daily guest support should any issues arise for our future guests. Thank you!

Spotty internet and cockroaches

Asked a few times for internet help and all we were told is that it is strong strength, but our zoom calls kept dropping off. And we found cockroaches two separate nights with no real follow-up or partial refund.

Great location steps from the sand. Cute inside and clean. Lots of space in the rooms.

Garage space was key since street parking is not really an option. The only downside is the noise from upstairs.. owner very responsive though for any issues questions we had.

Should have been better

Property reported available number of beds inaccurately. We counted on pull out sofa bed for one in our party only to find it was damaged by previous guests. Property manager did respond to my complaint and sent a handy man to fix but the frame cannot be repaired. I was told that it cannot be replaced because the space is too narrow to move it out or some such excuse. The kitchen has a plywood panel that is covering something but it looks really bad. The dishwasher doesn’t drain properly, there were wet bowls in the pantry when we arrived and there are cracks in the floor tiles in the bathroom. The location is perfect and there is plenty of hot water for showers. Washer and dryer work well. Would like to have left a better review but there were too many things that missed the mark.

Just what we needed

So close to the ocean which made it so easy to take the kids to and from the beach. Had a pack n play for my 2 year old which was so nice not to worry about bringing. Enough beds for our whole family with space to spare. Tons of extras in the garage. We all loved the bikes, boogie boards, sand toys and being able to wash towels and clothes was a huge plus! We really enjoyed the location of the home. Quite beach away from the crowds but an easy ride to the Newport Pier for shopping and food! We would totally stay here again!

Great location and amenities!

This place had everything we needed - it was close to the beach and had numerous fun amenities. The bathrooms and kitchens are a bit dated, as are many Newport Beach homes. My only complaint was the cleanliness when we checked in - the bathrooms and carpets were not thoroughly cleaned. Nevertheless, I would rent here again, given the opportunity!

It was a cute & clean home and a great location!

This rental has everything you need for the beach and a short walk to the beach. The property manager is quick to respond and help. My only caution is that this is a downstairs unit, if there are renters you WILL hear them above. Which was only a problem when trying to sleep. I would rent again maybe the upstairs unit next time.

Good house, close to the beach

The house was really nice. The kitchen is very practical with washing machine and lots of dishes. There is a washer and dryer in the garage that work well. There are lots of beach toys in the garage which is also really nice. The bedrooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. Unfortunately, the indoor parking space was filled by another car on one of the days. And the door to the garage cannot be locked which does not make sense since we were responsible for the toys in the garage. Also I think the cleaning rules are too much considering that we were charged over 200 $ for "fees" and cleaning fee.

Hello Amir, I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our place! It sounds like you made good use of the toys and beach gear during your stay. I just ask that the toys used get returned so that the next renters get a chance to use them. We've had pretty good luck so far:) So sorry that the arriving guests blocked your spot that day. I hate that that was an inconvenience for you. Large trucks are too tight to fit in this garage; its meant for average sized vehicles instead so I'm sorry that renter had a large vehicle. I do send notice to renters that only average sized vehicles fit well inside the garage but that renter obviously didn't observe my request. I hope you won't hesitate to stay with us again in the future. Thanks again for leaving the place nice and clean after your stay. Kind Regards, Kristen
