Ready to Relax? Look no further! This Cozy Cabin that sleeps 6 is the perfect getaway. You can fish right in front of the cabin, or just sit and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the water rushing by. This location can’t be beaten! You have a secluded getaway, that is conveniently located to all the top nearby attractions. Not to mention, you are right next door to Garlic Mike’s, one of the best restaurants in Gunnison! The free RTA is right out the door and will take you anywhere you want to go from Crested Butte, Mount Crested Butte, to Gunnison. You are also across the street from a Bike Path that leads you to Downtown Gunnison, just 3 Miles away.
Room Descriptions:
On the first floor there and a bedroom and bathroom. The second bed is located in a loft that overlooks the living room

The neighboring property is Virgil's's Cabin. Book both, bring friends! Grandpa and Virgil were best friend's. They knew what they were doing.

August vacation

The outdoor space can't be beat. We very much enjoyed sitting by the river each morning with our coffee. You really need to just put a wall mirror and small shelves above the bathroom rosink

Family vacation

The place was amazing if you are a nature lover. It's right on the banks of the Gunnison River and you can fish right off the bank from the cabin. I will definitely be back with or without my boys! We hadn't had a family vacation since they were around 10/11 years old and they are now 31/32 years old. They also both loved it! They are ready to go back tomorrow becuase they love to fish whereas I don't. It's close to Gunnison and Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte which I took them to because I've been to Gunnison numerous times.

Amazing property and experience!

This property is not only true to the online description, but even better in person! The riverside view is incredible and you can't beat the outside seating, as well as the covered patio. The cabin is incredibly clean and well appointed. 10/10 recommend!

Great Anniversary Getaway

Beautiful little cabin right on the Gunnison River. The entry for this cabin is immediately before Garlic Mike's if you're coming from Gunnison. This place had everything we wanted and needed to make our trip memorable. Fully equipped to include the quietest dishwasher on the planet. Beds were comfortable and the living room was a relaxing place to unwind after a day of exploring. The fire pit by the river was a favorite place of ours. Our only minor issues were dust accumulation on the fan upstairs and towels that had a bit of a funny smell. Both minor and certainly not anything that would keep us from coming back.

Easy

Cabin is easy to get to with plenty of parking. Gate is narrow if you have a trailer. Nice patio and outdoor seating. Living area open and comfortable. Bedroom is barely biger than the bed. Bathroom is small but servicable ( get rid of the vanity mirror cabinet so that a person can use the sink). Loft is fine but watch your head. Good pplace to stay overall.

Perfect Location

Grandpa’s Cabin was terrific for our family trip to Gunnison. The cabin is set up well. The place is super clean and well-maintained. There is one bathroom, one bedroom, and a loft with large, super-comfortable bed. With the pullouts, you could easily sleep six folks. This is right on the Gunnison River which is fabulous. Between the outside fire pit and the inside fireplace, we were both at peace and in comfort ! 😀

Wonderful Cabin

A beautiful cabin in a beautiful location! We enjoyed our stay so much. Cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. Our hostess, Jenny, was very helpful and friendly! It is a minor thing, but we would have enjoyed the fireplace if we had been able. We would love to come back next year!!

A little piece of heaven

Grandpa Cabin was great. We loved the location being right on the river and next door to Garlic Mike’s. The accommodations were very comfortable. Enjoyed the back covered patio during the day and fire pit by the water at night.

Beautiful property. Gunnison river alone would be worth the trip. I The cabin was perfect. Location was perfect! The walking paths are beautiful. Wildlife was plenty, 2 large bucks, doe with fawns. Thank you for such an easy and perfect “home” on the river! We will stay here again!

4th hunting season

The cabin was perfect and amazing for our stay for the 4th season hunting we had. The only thing i would have liked to make it absolutely perfect instead of perfect was a motion light on the big parking area on the backside(garage side) that lights the parking up for loading and unloading upon arrivals and departure (especially when someone has a trailer in tow. Thanks for the wonderful experience of this rental.

elk week at grandpas

the stay was great. location was terrific , 1.5 miles from the store. 3/4 mile to road for turn off for the hunting area. had a couple issues but was not a big deal after we talked them out . not even worth mentioning. all in all great time and great place.and dealing with jenny was a great experiance. hope to be able to deal with her again next year.

Beautiful views and outdoor space

Great location and we really enjoyed the fire pit by the river. Only thing that would make it better is a new mattress on main floor bedroom. I didn’t notice it on other stays but this time I actually moved to the couch. I have stayed here multiple times. Will stay again!

Didn’t want to leave!!!

We visit Gunnison a lot and this cabin was amazing. The view and sounds of the river were so relaxing. This is a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be back.

Great Work Grandpa!

This is a very nice, updated, private cabin with plenty of room just steps from the Gunnison River. Equipped with a beautiful roofed deck, a very large gas grill, and a riverside wood-burning fire pit. Communication with Jenny is very reliable and she is very accommodating to requests. The grill was out of propane when I arrived and with a simple text it was replaced with a full cylinder within minutes. I would certainly stay here again when I'm in Gunnison!

Great Location

Beautiful place to stay. Cabin was great. It was very convenient to visit my grandson in college. Was a little disappointed that fireplace was broken. Overall great time.
