This is a beautiful home run by a good family. It is clean, the kitchen well stocked and the views are unbeatable. We have stayed here several years and just keep coming back. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time together as a family and would recommend it to others. We loved the views and the sunsets!! Plenty of space to stretch out, well equipped kitchen and suitable for family game time.

Spent a very enjoyable week with the whole family- the upper level great room was awesome. Beautiful views out both sides. Perfect for watching a storm roll in. The walk to the beach access was close although having to double back behind the oceanfront homes to get to the access over the dunes made it a little further than it first appeared- not a big deal unless you are transporting toddlers in addition to beach gear :) Thankful there was a wagon at the house! Furnishings and bedding are a little dated but the price is very reasonable for what you get- a comfortable house with gorgeous views, proximity to the beach, dock/kayaks, etc. Owner was responsive to communication. Beach is lovely and not crowded. Enjoyed our outings to nearby Lewes and Hopkins Farm Creamery- highly recommend for families with and without kids!

Host took hours to reply. We had plumbing issues that I had to spend my own money to fix. Owner accused us of things that just didn’t happen. The outside benches were a death trap and a 2 year old boy was injured just by sitting on the bench. Unless the owner fixes what seems to be pretty big issues, I wouldn’t advise renting from her, especially if you have small children. The only positive is the beach is right across the street and it’s a private beach. But the house itself needs a lot of work to make it safe.

Your review came on the heels of a message from me having to charge you for extra cleaning and damage to the property and notifying you that we would not be renting to you again. The message you left at the house was very positive and you seemed very happy with your stay. When you checked in, I let you know I was out of the country and gave you the information of my property manager who came out to house when needed. He was told NOT to come to fix the toilet after offering to come out. They did however spend 6 hours cleaning up the soiled mattresses, cigarette butts, and bodily fluids throughout the house that was left in extremely poor condition. I kindly notified you that you did not hold up your end of the rental contract and any extra charges incurred would be passed on to you.

We love this house. We've stayed here many times now and it's always comfortable and has what we need to make our vacation perfect. Communications with our host are timely, friendly, and helpful. This house is great for a group of friends and for families.

Check in was easy, amenities were all available as advertised. View from top floor was amazing. Pier was great. Would stay here again.

Had another excellent stay at Broadkill. This house simply has the best views out over the Broadkill River and easy access to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked and every year they make another great addition to the house or property. Would highly recommend staying here.

This is an unusual property. The views are fantastic!! You get to enjoy both the sunrises and the sunsets. Communication with the host was excellent. We had a great time.

Family Time

We had a wonderful time staying at Bliss. We traveled to the area for a funeral, and having this house allowed us to be together during a hard time. The views are STUNNING and having board games there to play made for a fun and relaxing time.

Our stay was amazing and the hosts replied promptly. Their kitchen is the most well supplied kitchen we have had in a rental. The beds are super comfortable, outdoor sitting is very welcoming. Fishing and watching the sunsets are a favorite! Added benefit was the ping pong table for our young teenagers.

The roundhouse

The best house we’ve stayed in in the past 15 years. Beautiful views, lovely artistic decor, well appointed kitchen stocked with just about everything you need to prepare meals, decent beds, great space, great location between sea and sound…I could go on.

A beautifully relaxing retreat

The house is wonderful with its 360 degree views. Having flowing water and a dock on the property allowed for fishing and crabbing multiple times a day. Enough bathrooms for our crowd and private spaces suited extended family members. All in all our week at Broadkill Beach was a hit!

This was our second year staying at this wonderful house for our annual Girls Weekend. We love the views out of every window. You can watch the sunrise while drinking a cup of coffee at the dinning table and also watch the sunset while drinking a cocktail on the deck. Plenty of room to sit and read a book alone or enjoy games or crafts at the large table with the gang. Quiet area yet not a far drive to restaurants or stores.

Perfect Family Spot

This is our second year here and it has been a great place get the entire family together for a week of summer fun. The quiet beach and the fishing dock and kayaks and a canoe are all right there for us to enjoy. Rehoboth, Lewes, and the Cape May ferry are only about a half hour away. The house offers spectacular views of both ocean and marsh, and excellent bird watching. Every guest was comfortable in their space.

The house and views are amazing! The location was perfect and there was something for everyone to enjoy! We fished, crabbed(caught enough for 2meals), kayaked, and swam/played at the beach. There was plenty of wildlife to keep our birder entertained. There are also plenty of quiet places to just sit and enjoy the view. We are a family of 9 ranging in age from 2-67 and we all went home happy and relaxed.

Family Vacation

Wonderful extended family vacation at the shore. The setting was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. A short walk to the beach and a longer walk for ice cream. We had a great time.
