Suzanne's Cottage By The Sea is located on Oak Island, the ideal place for your next family vacation! This oceanfront house is steps away from the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean. A dazzling open floor plan and vaulted ceilings lead you to appreciate the beautiful vistas of the dunes and sea from the moment you walk in the front door. The open living, dining & kitchen areas offer a new coastal vibe that's ideal for relaxing and entertaining. You will find 4 appealing sized bedrooms and 2 full baths off the main living area all on one level. This home has been charmingly refreshed with modern coastal decor'. The kitchen is well supplied and offers a Keurig and a coffee pot.

Start your day in the oceanfront sunroom or sundeck taking in the magnificent vistas of the ocean, beach, and gorgeous sunrises! There's a generous size oceanfront sundeck space with steps leading down to the beach!

After putting the kids to bed, relax and enjoy a quiet evening taking in the beautiful sunsets from the sunroom or sundeck.

Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals from May -October

Publix and Dollar General are less than a mile, and Food Lion is 1.3 miles from our house. After your day on the beach you can enjoy many great restaurants nearby on Oak Island, and within a short driving distance, (15 minute drive), to Southport Marina.

Location was really a surprise for us. Although beside a public entry point, it had no effect negatively. Actually, there was a custom fit mat leading from that point to the beach which made things so much easier. The property was clean on arrival. I had spoken to the owners on a question (they responded right away). So yes, I nice rental, a nice week, recommend.

Great place to stay!

Our check in process was seamless. Upon entry to the kitchen, the brilliant countertop combined with the other kitchen decor was beyond beautiful. Very well equipped for meal prep. We ate at the house for all our meals except one dinner out. The den is small but furnished comfortably; recliner, love seat, couch, and occasional chair. Loved the back sunroom. Comfortable with separate AC. Bedrooms are great; roomy and comfortable. All furnishings in the house are pretty and functional. WiFi was good. Access to groceries and shops is a mile of so from the house.We will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay on Oak Island!

Perfect layout for our family - 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, all one level, a very nice and large back deck, plenty of seating inside and out, easy and immediate beach access, and prompt and helpful support from owners. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Fantastic Home!

We absolutely loved staying here! We had 6 adults and 2 kids, the house was the perfect size for our group! The house layout was great and we loved the decor and lighting fixtures! The house is in a great location - oceanfront and minutes from the main area of grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. We loved all the seating both indoors and on the porch. We hope to be back to stay in this same home in the future!

Family time

The property is amazing and the pictures in the listing are accurate! It’s such a beautiful home with an awesome location and has a very well stocked kitchen if you plan on cooking. Myself, husband, our 2 children and my parents stayed there and the home size was just right! There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and hang out but still have their own space. We especially loved walking on the beach and sitting in the sunroom reading afterward. Would definitely love to stay again.

Wonderful beach trip

Comfortable and accommodating.

The cottage was small but very well laid out so that our group which numbered 8 felt very comfortable. The location was excellent with easy beach access and a nice view of the ocean from the back deck..What few minor problems we had were quickly and graciously handled by our hosts.We would enjoy staying there again.problems we had were

Perfect location, clean and well represented.

Overall, an excellent stay. Had a little issue with the A/C but it was taken care of and worked great after that. Would recommend to others.

We chose Oak Island to surprise my husband with a sky diving bucket list for his 60th birthday. We loved Suzanne Cottage. It was absolutely perfect for my family of 6 adults.

This cottage is lovely. So we’ll thought out and decorated in a wonderful, cozy way.

The hosts are attentive to details and the communication was courteous and prompt. Loved the location and we were able to spend a relaxed visit with my daughter who lives on OKI and owns a business in Southport. So thankful for our stay at Suzanne’s Cottage.

Beautiful Cottage Right on the Beach.

This is a beautifully maintained and decorated cottage right on the beach, with just a dune between you and the ocean. Great communication with the host, and very enjoyable stay.

Very nice cottage and location

The cottage was lovely, I enjoyed being right next door to the beach access. The other amenities we needed like a grocery store were also very close by. The cottage was well equipped and the hosts were easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend this property and hopefully we will be back

Fantastic House and Stay!! Such a cute and clean house!

We had a wonderful stay. It was perfect for alone time and family time (spent time alone and with mom and sister). It has a beach cottage feel for coziness with plenty of room for family. Everything is up-to-date and in good condition (microwave, oven, toilets, etc). The AC/thermostat is a Nest with a code that's not accessible by the guest. The owner is super responsive, so all good! House is super clean and cute with space for all and yoga on the porch. We really loved it. A great rental!! Could not recommend more.

Best Place to stay

The cottage was perfect. Great views, great access to the beach. We did have a water leak in one of the bedrooms from the AC Unit in the attic. The owners were very quick to contact someone and get it repaired. Would definitely stay there again

A Piece of Heaven

We had the time of our lives at this Oceanfront Cottage! Lovely place with Ideal location, Mobi beside house to walk to Beach, Gorgeous Deck with beautiful View! So thankful for a week of gorgeous weather and perfect water temperatures. We only wished we could have stayed another week! A week full of great memories in Suzanne's Cottage on Oak Island. Owner Rick was very responsive to our requests. :)

We began our short term rental venture in March 2019, with our historic row house, Matt's Place In The Strip, located in the Strip District of Pittsburgh, PA. We are Super Hosts with Airbnb, and Preferred Partners with VRBO. We take pride in providing a first class living experience for our guests.
