Wonderful views of the ocean with easy walk to access. House and all amenities were as promised or above.

Wonderful stay!

This home was perfect for our family. The beach access is only two houses down, so the walk wasn’t too strenuous for our aging parents or our 2 daughters (8 and 10). The home had everything we needed for meals at home and was very comfortable and clean. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor shower too! There is a bit of road noise for the bedrooms on the beach side because this is a pretty busy stretch of the island. Unfortunately they were building a house next door during our stay (we didn’t know at the time of booking- but were told the week before our stay) so there was a lot of beating and banging, however once the home is complete, there is nothing to worry about! Overall, it was a great visit!

Holiday weekend stay

The house was super clean and well stocked, particularly the kitchen. Kid-friendly/simple to baby proof and appreciated the gates on the stairs for young children and dogs.

Relaxing and Fun!

I cannot overstate how lovely it is to sit on the deck, drink coffee and look at the ocean in this house! The house was clean, exactly as described and exactly what we needed. The thoughtful welcome bag with toiletries and helpful area guides was a huge plus. Lovely property, lovely management. Thank you!

Great location!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this home. Everything was clean. Great location to near beach accesses. Enjoyed a lot of time on the front porch with a view of the ocean. Caution that the steps at the back of the house coming from the driveway side are SLIPPERY when wet! No gripped padding on them at all. A great vacation.

4th of July Gettaway

House was great!! Well stocked, clean, and two steps from the beach! Loved that it had games to play inside and outside. In case you might of forgot It also had beach chairs, beach umbrella, and beach toys to bring over to the beach!! The only thing I was disappointed in was that it said there would be two bikes to ride, but I only saw one bike in there. No big deal though! I would definitely stay here again!

Terrible beds

Nice property but cleaning crew not up to par. Some steps need some tending to. Bad tv in the bedroom, needs replaced. Terribly uncomfortable beds in king rooms! Basically nice place with a few little things to tweak as mentioned. Fabulous location

We LOVED our stay at Little Sunshine! It was very cozy for our family and we would definitely stay here again in the future. The property was clean and not cluttered with all of the extra kitchen stuff that some rental properties can have. The kitchen was well appointed with the decent knives, pots & pans, and small kitchen appliances. The beds were also decent. Not all of the rooms have dressers, so you may not be able to totally unpack but that isn't a huge problem because there are closets in the rooms without dressers.You can see the ocean from the covered deck and the public beach access is about a block away from the house. There are enough beach chairs and some other beach toys to use so you don't have to pack your own. We used the two beach cruiser bikes a few times as well. There are some other beach equipment/toys that are not in working condition and could be removed, like broken boogie boards or umbrellas. We didn't want to dispose of them since they didn't belong to us. We also tried to play Scrabble but neither game boxes had any letter tiles in them which we thought was weird. One more thing to consider...There is a new property being built on the lot next door. When we arrived, the pile-driver was still on-site and we were woken up on Monday morning at 7a.m. to them placing more stilts for the new house. That was the only day that we were disturbed but we just spent a lot of time on the beach to avoid the noise and shaking of the house.

Another great week on Oak Island

Great location close to beach access, grocery stores and The Point. Home is as described on VRBO and had everything we needed for our stay except for a beach wagon which we easily rented from local company. First time working with iTrip through VRBO and they were very good with their communications for property access. Be prepared for construction on lot adjacent to property which started second to last day of our stay. Kids enjoyed watching the pounding of the support pillars.
