Welcome to Casa Azul Cottage. Enjoy everything that Carolina Beach has to offer at one of the original cottages left on Pleasure Island. This newly renovated 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage is located just a short, 5 minute walk to the beach or the downtown boardwalk area. Relax at the beach or have an activity-filled day. There is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water to rinse off in upon returning from your adventurous beach days! The property is within walking distance to charter fishing, playgrounds, restaurants and bars, you are in the heart of it all! Casa Azul is the perfect spot for your next vacation. We have some beach chairs, umbrella and a beach cart available for your added convenience.

Cozy Cottage

Pros: Cozy and cute. Very close to everything. We went to the aquarium which was a 15 minute drive and went to the battleship which was a 25 minute drive. Walked to the beach, boardwalk and restaurants. The backyard was spacious enough for our little one to run around in. The beds were comfortable. Cons: The first night, Friday, we could hear very clearly the music from one of the restaurants on the boardwalk until it closed at midnight. At the end of your stay, you have to strip the bed linen and put them in a laundry bag. I have never seen this before and there’s a fee if that isn’t done. The floors were not clean, our feet were black after the first night. The lighting in the family room is very dim. Access to the backyard only by walking around the side of the house, no access from inside. Overall, we enjoyed our stay

Amazing location and perfect cottage.

We came in for Labor Day weekend and the cottage was everything we needed! It was perfect for the teens to walk into town and an easy walk to the beach. We would love to come back again.

A little disappointed

Couldn’t get to destination because our flight was cancelled due to Hurricane and renter would not work with me for anytime of refund for last days. Also there were 4 “palmetto” bugs in the house . But decent place and location. I also didn’t like the fact we pay service fee but have to gather all the sheets and towels and bag up before leaving and clean floors. I feel that is part of cleaning fees

Great property and location!

We had an awesome stay in Carolina Beach. This was close enough to the beach and boardwalk to feel like we were staying on the beach, but also far enough away to remain quiet and low traffic down the street. The house is clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch most because of the breeze and convenience. I do wish there would have been access to the backyard without needing to go through the front yard, but that was so minor for the quality of the stay. If we're in the area again and don't want to stay/pay for ON the beach, we want to come back here!

Short stay at Carolina Beach

Nicely decorated house with easy walk to beach and restaurants. Generally clean. And can tell someone put a lot of love in setting it up. But, needs deep cleaning for sofa, area rugs, and outside rooms. Strange policy of not washing bed covers and telling you they are only decorative. We would have brought blankets if we knew and ended up sleeping with beach towels.

This cttage was so clean and decorated in a tastefully beach theme. Just a short walk to an awesome beach. Seeing the sunrise there is a must!

I enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the activities. A welcoming surprise was the linens and towels that were individually wrap, the beds unmade and the toilet covered with clear plastic wrap. The cleanliness of the environment can be felt and seen throughout the space. We enjoyed The serenity of the backyard hideaway as we did on movie night. Great space, great location that provides total access to the beach, the surrounding areas, the restaurants. looking forward to doing it again next year

Very clean - smelled so nice!

Great place! It was the cleanest VRBO I have ever rented! And it smelled so nice! After a 3 hour drive, it was perfect. Will definitely return.

Very clean. Bed and furniture very comfortable. Access to beach and restaurants excellent. Heating/air conditioning worked well. Living room lighting inadequate - unable to read at night. Also, some instructions about using the TV would help. Bottom line - this is a very nice little cottage.

Beautiful cottage!!!

It was the perfect place to stay. Close to everything and totally comfortable and clean. Love the gnarly old tree in the backyard. As others have said, if the door leading to the driveway worked so you could get to the backyard easier and unpack your car more efficiently, that would be the cherry on top. Thanks for a wonderdul beach haven for a much-needed relaxing vacation!!!

Grandkids vacation

I wanted to take my 4 grandkids to the beach. Every morning we walked to the beach then in the afternoon we walk down the road from the house to a nice park, it was great. House is clean and had a very nice back yard but had to walk out front door go around house to enter, that meant I had to escort my grandkids everytime they went in or out. Beds are great and the kitchen had nearly everything needed. Missing pans to cook in oven and no cutting board. We enjoyed the porch and watched the fireworks from beach. In all great little house could walk everywhere but for us I needed another bathroom and better access to back yard. A good find with older children. We loved it.

Comfy Beach Home

We enjoyed our stay at this home. The beach was not a far walk. The kids enjoyed the backyard. It would be nice for a back door to get straight to the backyard for the safety of children, but overall the property was great. Clean and comfortable.

Great location to beach and boardwalk

It was cozy amd clean but the best part for the large teenage boy-men was the backyard and screened in room! Everything worked well, except for the hair dryer, amd you can walk to the beach amd boatdwalk and several restaurants. The actual neighborhood was fine, nothing special. Beds were comfy! Outside shower was great! Would recommend!

Outstanding house, perfect for the beach and surrounding area!

Conveniently located to just about everything on Carolina Beach, this house was perfect. It was incredibly clean, had everything we needed to start (I forgot to buy coffee -- oops!), and everything was in fine working order. Instructions were crystal clear and the rules were quite fair. I would stay at this house again in a heartbeat!

Small, cozy & adequately appointed

House, beds were comfortable. Bedrooms were a good size. Could use more light in the living room. Nice apt- sized washer/dryer. Front porch & screened in back area were wonderful. Even appreciated the beach chairs.
