Fantastic beachfront vacation home. We stayed here for 4 nights on spring break with our kids and had a fantastic time . The house was very comfortable and well equipped. Really appreciated the beach gear in the garage and the laundry .

The condo was very clean & comfortable. There are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas & toys stored in the garage for use by guests , which was very convenient as we didn't have to take any of those items from our home. There's plenty of food places nearby & a grocery store. Great location near the beach, the bay & not too far from the downtown area.

it was at the very end actually past the end of the boardwalk. I wish i had known that. The beach was a bit of a hike.

Everything went well. Only concerns is that there is only one couch that sits 2 people in the living room. There were no spatulas or baking sheets. Also the photo that it used to show the view from the patio is misleading because it is taken from the absolute farthest corner. In reality the view is of the parking lot.i probably wouldn’t stay here again. I would spend a little more and have a better view.

Great Location

Being so close to the boardwalk/beach and having sand directly off the patio is great for kids. They can play in the sand all day without having to go to the water or have the boardwalk and a small wall between you.

Thanksgiving Stay

My family of 6 stayed for 4 nights and we had a great time. Our 5 and 7 year old loved being able to play in the sand right behind the house and the huge patio is very nice too. The sand toys and vollyball in the garage was much appreciated as well. We would definitely stay there again someday.

Wonderful Beachfront Stay

We loved staying at this beautifully renovated property with a large gorgeous deck. The kids loved that there was sand right out the back door and enjoyed the beach toys. The ocean is a short walk and the beach chairs made our stay perfect! The apartment was fabulous bedding and plenty of towels. We had all the amenities we needed. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Such an amazing place for the price

Can't beat this place for the price, it's spacious with a HUGE patio that is not shared with the upstairs unit, everything was nicely decorated and beds were comfortable. You can walk out your door to a quiet, private sandy beach area away from the main public beach, which was a nice bonus. Surf Style Vacation Homes management made for an easy stay, we would return again in a heartbeat!

AMAZING!!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The exclusive patio was AMAZING for evening BBQ's and our grandkids enjoyed playing in the sand. The Surf Style management was very helpful with any questions. Would definitely recommend!

Price was a bit high so 4 stars for that, otherwise 5 stars for location, the home itself, Surf Style manager's responsiveness, and overall experience. We certainly feel comfortable staying in any of their homes, hope to be back for Summer 2023 - Chad

Good for littles at the beach, but not clean

We noticed immediately upon arriving that the property had a very musty smell and the floors were dirty. SurfStyle was very responsive when advised of the dirty floors and sent someone to clean them the next day. Even once the floors were clean, however, the musty smell remained. While cleanliness was lacking, the large patio and beach just beyond it were the highlights of our stay. It was a perfect set-up to allow adults to relax on the patio, while the kids played in the sand.

Perfect space for 3 people

Clean, simple, no clutter like other places we have rented. It was just what we needed for our 3 nights. Neighbors are quiet and we felt safe. There is a walk up Mexican food bar about 1/2 a mile from the house, really yummy tacos. You can walk on the sand from the patio, but you can't see the ocean from the patio. You can see a public parking lot for beach goers from the patio, not a big deal as it is obscured behind some bushes. You have to walk to the beach to see the ocean which was okay for us, but if you really want to see and hear the ocean from your VRBO didn't stay here. We really wanted to hear the ocean at night, so I just turned on ocean waves in my YouTube music app.

Nice Location But...

Upon arrival property had a clear rodent problem. There were rat droppings in one of the bedrooms underneath and on the bed and the utility closet was full of it. The unit had a slight musty smell which can be common among beach properties but the hallway actually had a rodent smell. The location would have been great otherwise. I contacted the property managers who said they could send cleaners and pest control, however neither showed up during our 4 day stay.

Looks nice, but short on function and maintenance

The positives are that the unit looked pretty much as pictured. But the description is not very accurate. First, there is no dishwasher in the small kitchen. Although it is close to the beach, there is no view of the water. There was no information about local recommendations, or information on operating the two-remote TV. We had a lot of maintenance problems, and the kitchen appliances (including refrigerator) were not working when we arrived; we had to wait until the next morning to get them fixed. We have not been reimbursed for our spoiled food. The small bathroom had neither window nor working fan, and it took ten days for the fan to be replaced. Other maintenance issues were never fixed during our two-month stay. There were no cleaning supplies, just dish/laundry detergent. The front bedroom has no closet or anywhere to put your suitcase or hang clothes. If you have a larger vehicle, you will have trouble fitting into the parking space. There are two steps (no banister) up to the bathroom and two bedrooms, which might be a problem for some. It’s a short walk to the water, but otherwise, the proximity of attractions is exaggerated. Of concern is that there is no way to lock the property, while you’re sleeping, for example, even though the entry code was shared with handymen, cleaners and the plumber. It is the beach, so there is noise—mostly from the many and constant volleyball players who sometimes blast their music. The sliding-glass door is good at blocking noise.

We always recommend guests thoroughly read ad descriptions prior to reserving a home as most of these details are included on our description (parking dimensions, closet space, proximity to local attractions). This was a cute property that worked out really well for our family trip! They even had some beach towels and toys for us to use. We did notice, there weren’t a lot of cooking utensils- no spatula, etc. and there was still coffee in the coffee pot from whoever was there before us. We also couldn’t find a broom and tracked in a lot of sand, which got a little annoying. But it was a beautiful location with easy beach access and overall very enjoyable!

Three generation trip to San Diego

We rented this property for our trip to San Diego with 3 generations - Mom, Grandma, and 2 kids (ages 8 and 6). We wanted a quieter area, central to various districts, and oceanfront. This property was perfect for our needs! It was spacious, clean, and easily accessible by Uber/Lyft. It was easy to communicate with the rental agency and it was nice to have the option of grocery delivery. We rented bikes to ride up and down Mission Beach and kept them in the locked garage. The A/C worked properly and the rooms were comfortable. Much more space than a hotel and you get more for your money. Highly recommended!
