Breathtaking ocean views and spacious living accommodations await you at this newly fully renovatedfabulous 3 bedroom 3.5 Bathroom Makahuena Condo in Poipu. Well appointed fully equipped kitchen, accommodating up to 6-8 people, in a total of 1300 square feet of living space.
Centrally located in the heart of Poipu, Makahuena 2-302 offers resort amenities and beach access all within walking and short driving distance. Makahuena Resort is perched on a rocky point above the ocean in Poipu. This unit has ocean views and access to the pool, tennis court, hot tub and BBQs. The property is within an 8-10 minute walk to the beach. Witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from the over-sized ocean view lanai overlooking the pool and explore the coastal walkways leading to resort amenities, Shipwreck’s Beach, Poipu Beach Park, The Grand Hyatt Resort, casual and fine dining , gourmet grocery stores and weekly farmers markets.
Air Conditioning- Hawaii is known for its trade winds. Many homes on Kauai have been designed for "open airflow" using screened windows and screened sliding doors, and DO NOT have air conditioning. Please be sure and confirm when making your reservation whether the home you have chosen does or does NOT have air conditioning. Depending on the season, or even the day, temperatures typically range between 74 to 84 for the highs, and 60 to 74 for the lows, year-round. Refunds or discounts ARE NOT given for lack of Air Conditioning in a property.

Perfect

We had a wonderful stay here- watching whales and the sunset from the deck was an added bonus. This condo was so close to the activities and beaches- it was a great spot for us to enjoy!

Christmas Vacation

Great condo with lots of room. Each room has its own bathroom which really helps when you have the whole family together. We enjoyed watching the sunsets from the balcony each evening. We videoed a whale as it passed by the condo on Christmas morning. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location & rare find!

We loved our stay here :) close proximity to the airport and the beach is only a walk away! This was one of the few places we were able to find that had three separate bedrooms that could all accommodate adults comfortably without breaking the bank. So happy with our stay! :)

Great location and responsive property manager

It's in a wonderful location because we could walk to Shipwreck Beach, Brennecke Beach, and Poipu Beach. My friends and I loved swimming in the pool and lounging in the hot tub.

Beautiful experience

We greatly enjoyed our brief stay at Makahuena. The Vrbo is clean, the host is readily available via text, and the views of the pool and beach are breathtaking.

Lanai Sunsets

We really enjoyed our stay in this amazing location! Walking distance to Poipu beach where the turtles come up on shore to rest every evening. We appreciated the place being well stocked on the basics. It was perfect for our family!

Great location but no door on the top upstairs bedroom

This condo is in a great location - quiet neighborhood and close to shops/beaches. The property manager was very responsive and answered all questions quickly. We had a great time with everything except for the upstairs bathroom is super small and the bathroom door was not functional. It was also a surprise to find that the upstairs bedroom did not have a door itself.

Comfortable, clean recently remodeled. Lots of stairs Could be a problem for seniors and young children. Baths are small but serviceable. Great location. Short walk to Poipu beach. Would definitely stay again.

Awesome place

Was perfect place. My teenagers loved the walking distance to Brenneckes and Poipu beach where they love boogie boarding and snorkeling. Beach equipment was provided. Good layout. Worked great. Corey was very helpful and informative.

Perfect Stay in Paradise

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home! It was a short walk to the beach and there was a ton of beach gear there to use. The community is very quiet and everyone was very nice. Communication with Corey was excellent and he gave us some great recommendations on things to do. Our favorite thing about the house was the lanai - we spent every evening there watching the spouting and breaching whales, the spinner dolphins putting on a show, and the gorgeous sunset. We cannot wait to return!

Great condo

We loved the location - Less than 5 minute drive to Poipu beach and any restaurants and shops. Cori, the property manager is on top of everything and check in and out was effortless. They have lots of chairs and beach equipment including a wagon. The AC worked well in all rooms. The top floor bedroom and bathroom are a little small, but perfect for kids. Overall the condo was perfect for us - quiet clean complex, close to everything and enough room for 3 couples. The only thing I would say is maybe a little deeper dusting needs to happen.

Great views

The location and house were just as pictured. We enjoyed our stay. The only advice I would give is that house needs more of the basics stocked up (toilet paper/paper towels). We called several times and they did bring them but it should be stocked for a weeks stay. Also instructions posted in the house for basic info and check out info /pool rules etc would be helpful. Other than minor adjustments, the place was perfect. We would come back. .

Beautiful

The condo was comfortable and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was adequately stocked to cook a few simple meals. Loved that there were a few spices and condiments for us to use. Location is nice and easy to get to a few shopping and dining areas. Sunset views from the point just outside the condo are not to be missed! Corey was very responsive and informative. There are lots of stairs outside and inside the condo. Not a problem for us, but if you have any concerns about navigating stairs, ask before you book. We’d go back without hesitation.

Excellent view and location

The condo had an excellent view and it was close to everything. It was easy to check in and Corey was very responsive when we had questions. There were 3 beaches within a short car or walking distance. The swimming pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. The bedrooms don't have much of a description on the website so they were a pleasant surprise. They are very nice and spacious with 2 king bedrooms with ensuite on the 2nd floor and a queen with a small ensuite on the 3rd floor. You can't beat the view in the morning with coffee or sunset with wine/drinks! The kitchen had everything we needed and there were plenty of beach towels as well as a small cooler and 2 chairs. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Location, View, Convenient

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean, the location was fantastic, the view of the ocean from the balcony beautiful. It held the six of us just fine. We did not find the additional blow up mattress in the upstairs loft until the last day so that was a bummer, one of the kids had to sleep on the couch. The apartment does need some attention, one of the bathrooms on the second floor had a toilet that ran all night (we turned it off manually so we wouldn't hear it), the shower did not drain and there was no pressure. The downstairs A/C did not stay cool but the ocean breeze during the day made up for it (at night was when it was difficult), and the kitchen cabinets could use a little TLC. I still would stay here again because everything else excelled and we were happy with the listing and with Corey the property manager. He did offer to look at these items while we were there but the timing of when we would be there just didn't line up with his schedule so he assured us he would address these issues after we left for the next guests.
