We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo at the Makahuena. The furnishings and decor were a little dated, but it was extremely clean and well-maintained. It was very roomy, and perfect for our group of seven adults. We cooked almost daily, and the kitchen furnishings (pots, pans, dishes, etc) more than met our needs. The condo is centrally located, with grocery stores, shopping areas, restaurants, and beaches only minutes away. I really can’t say enough good things about this condo, and we will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Kauai.

Comfy and well located, with nice access to the well-heated resort pool and hot tub. Easy jumping off point for the whole island, with many food choices a quick drive away. Plenty of room for our family of 5.

It was a beautiful setting with the pool right off the lanai. It would have been wonderful had we not had our son's family with us. One of the boys had bad allergies and my daughter-in-law was pregnant and the back rooms didn't get the air conditioner turned on soon enough so there was a very musty smell in the air in the back. Henceforth it caused us to give up the master bedroom which was lovely, to them. The pullout couch worked, but wasn't so comfortable. The place is nice if there are only two of you staying. We appreciated having air conditioning. The area was beautiful.

The location is fantastic! You can walk into the Poipu Beach area and to Shipwreck beach. We enjoyed watching both the sunrise and sunset from the point at the property. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds and linens were all comfortable. There are also several beach chairs, a couple boogie boards and snorkel masks.

Location was perfect. Accessible to everything, the pool was a great amenity. Kitchen was well-stocked, and the provided beach towels, beach chairs, and beach gear were all welcome.

The location was great for walking to Shipwreck and Poipu beach. Beds were very comfortable and the space accommodated our adult family well. Check in and out was easy and the host was great to work with. I wish we would have had more time to spend here!! We’ll be back.

Our host was friendly and responsive. The location of the property is perfect. We enjoyed gorgeous sunrises and had an overall terrific experience.

Condo is perfect for large family, especially with young children. First floor allows kids easy access to grass, pool and views. Hearing the water hit the rocks was a favorite.We stayed for a month with various family members arriving and departing. Location worked out great for airport and touring.Condo is well stocked with beach chairs, toys, umbrella's, boogie boards, snorkel gear and even variety sizes of coolers.The unit does need a bit of TLC, which I believe the owner was arriving 2 weeks after we left to address.

Communication from property manager Sophia was excellent. The location of property is great. Views from lanai are spectacular. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Go for it!

Amazing stay!

Amenities were perfect, very nice place! Being on the first floor was perfect for hanging out on the grass and into the pool for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable! We loved our stay!

Owner was responsive and worked with me when I needed to add another day. Would stay here again. Great for our family of 7. Location is great for kids who didn’t have their own car. Great multiple close beaches. Walk to Hyatt bar is easy for adults. Lots of beach stuff. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful oceanfront condo! The view was incredible, and the condo had everything we needed for a comfortable trip. The pool was amazing—our kids loved spending time there. We also enjoyed cooking dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and relaxing out on the patio in the evenings. A perfect spot for a family getaway!

Great location

You can walk ten minutes either way and hit two beautiful beaches. Couldn’t be a better location on Kauai. Really enjoyed our stay.
