The location was amazing. Being right on the beach made our stay very relaxing. The only issue was the house was not very clean. Dog hair on the beds and looked like nothing was swept.

I had a wonderful time. The house was adorable and perfect for me and my dogs. I loved the front deck and being a short walk to the beach was amazing. I can’t wait to come back!

This place was perfect for what I wanted. Right on the beach, close to dining, shopping and nightlife. Pet friendly. I would definitely go back to One Lucky Beach!

Great weekend . Weather always unpredictable, But We were super happy with the home and condition and how clean the house - for a dog friendly on beach! Thebeds were super comfy. It was a little warm in house and couldn’t adjust AC ..but fans did help. beach was so amazing. close to everything AMAZING ... I will say the path to beach needed to be trimmed as the grass is high.. the front yard area needed some TLC. and some boards on steps could use a hammer as some are popping..Otherwise really great weekend !

Great location

Perfect location! We loved that it was dog friendly & came with necessary linens. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need.

We had a lovely quiet stay here. Dogs were welcomed wholeheartedly. The house was basic, clean, and serviceable. Steps to ocean. Communications with owner was a wee bit complicated as there were several messages from owner and house managers and an app we were to download. Might streamline the process a bit more. These are just things we noted and did not take away from our lovely time at this property.

Labor day beach getaway

Nice beach house that had everything needed. Loved sitting on the porch and watching the ocean. Very relaxing spot.

This house was perfect for our family for Thanksgiving. Well stocked with kitchen items, clean, comfortable beds and furniture. Beautiful view of the ocean. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Our only disappointment was that they were dredging sand for beach improvement. Very loud and we could not use the path from the house to access the beach because it was blocked off. Had to drive down the street to a public access.However, this had nothing to do with host, it was all the town of Oak Island.We recommend this house and will rent again.

This review is probably more about the property management than the property. It’s a small, clean beach house on the ocean. The views are beautiful, there is ample seating, and the beds are very comfortable. The price is fair and we had a truly wonderful time, but I do think that people should be aware of the limited amenities that that property offers. We needed to personally purchase TP, Paper Towel, Dish Soap (all soaps, really), beach towels and trash bags. This totaled nearly 100 and from our experience, VRBOs typically provide this. You will get one set of linens and towels per person/bed and need to make the bed when you arrive. You’ll need to bring or purchase laundry soap if you want to do laundry. There are almost no kitchen staples available (cooking oil, salt, foil, etc). You’ll want to take the offer to rent the beach chairs/shade that the property management sends. There are some sand toys, but beach seating and shade are on your own. There are plenty of stores around, but it all kind of felt like we were dealing with a property management company that was trying to squeeze maximum profit. (Why else would you arrive to a rental that has an almost completely empty dish soap container for a week long stay?)It’s a beautiful spot and none of those things really hurt the trip, but we wish we had known before we left for our vacation.

It was the perfect property for us for a nice week away. A couple big bugs but otherwise good. Super appreciated the gate on the deck. Thank you! Love the keyless entry! Recommendations-please leave the toilet paper in the bathroom and a little soap would be so appreciated. (Just so u can use the restroom after a long road trip) Also, a list of restaurants would have been great. Otherwise everything was great.

Simple & cute!

The outside could use some fresh paint & communication by email was a little slower than I’ve experienced with other vrbo property owners but all in all - I’d stay again! House was clean other than one very large cockroach looking bug that made a visit. Great location! Loved taking my dog! Dunes block some of the oceanfront view unless you’re sitting in the tall chairs but loved sitting on the deck listening to waves & enjoying the views. Very short & easy walk to the beach was a plus! Beds weren’t the most comfortable but not the worst. Some guys were randomly scheduled to stop by & change a filter but I was not notified prior. Owners should try to alert renters in advance or schedule this while renters aren’t there. Overall, I’d stay again.

Great view with seating. Outside photos need updated as huge house on left very close .not much privacy when on your deck. Living room couch very worn out. First time we have rented home with linens included and upon arrival after 10 hr. drive had to makeup our beds.
