Lily Cottage - a cozy accomodation moments from the beautiful Ashokan reservoir

Tuck up in a thoughtfully renovated 1950s one bedroom cottage, perfect for a solo or couple’s Catskill getaway!

Situated in a quiet hamlet, nights in are lit by starlight and serenaded by peepers. Perfectly hemmed in by the Ashokan reservoir, hiking, and the rail trail.

The interior features a mix of vintage furnishings along with modern comforts. Up to a 25 minute drive takes you to Rosendale, Stone Ridge, Kingston or Woodstock for shops, breweries & excellent dining options.

One bedroom with a new queen sized bed, space to store your luggage and unpack, a full bathroom with shower, tub and a washer/dryer.
A complete kitchen with microwave, basic spices and cookware.

This is a rural area with no delivery and 15 minutes to the nearest grocery store, so stock up with your favorite things to make, as we have plenty of room for your groceries and farm fresh eggs.

This sweet cottage sits on the same property as our house, with a gated yard and outdoor seating. We are a great jumping off point to explore nature summer through winter, so many amazing upstate destinations to get lost in.

We have two dedicated parking spaces available for guests.

7 day rentals are discounted 10 %, 14 day rentals are discounted 15%, and rentals longer than 20 days are discounted 20%.

Warm and cozy cabin

Great place to stay in the winter. Hunter mountain and Woodstock are near by. Will definitely be back.

LOVED LILY COTTAGE

When i tell you everything was as pictured! And thats rare, everything was perfect. Im so happy we chose to stay at Lily Cottage. Host was awesome, very helpful and even left a welcome snack...yum ! Thinking i may be back in the summer. PERFECT COUPLE GETAWAY!!

Get away

This property is perfect! We were staying for our anniversary and enjoyed all aspects of our stay: the proximity to all activities we wanted to do, how quiet it was, very clean and cozy. Would highly recommend.

Nice quiet getaway

The Lily Cottage is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The surroundings are peaceful, quiet, and soothing. It is six minutes from the Ashokan Center. I found it to be delightful.

Decompression

I was attending an event at Ashokan Center and preferred a private room. Lily Cottage suited my needs very well, being close to Ashokan but giving me the space to relax privately at the end of the day. The cottage was tastefully and thoughtfully appointed and very comfortable.

Charming Cottage in a serene Setting

Visiting the Catskills for the first, but not the last time. This cottage was well equipped, quiet and very comfortable for our 2 night stay. We will return when we have more time to explore the Darhling towns all within 30 minutes drive

Amazing hosts and accommodations

Lily Cottage is the ideal getaway from NYC. It is such a peaceful location, the property came with every amenity to make us feel right at home. On top of that, Jim and May are very kind and thoughtful and made our stay better than we expected. Highly recommend!

Convenient, Clean Cottage

The cottage was comfortable and clean. It was also conveniently located for us to get to and from the Ashokan Center for our weekend music event. Jim was a great host — quick to respond to any questions!

Great place near Ashokan and Woodstock

We spent 3 days at Jim and May's place - it was the first time we had gone away since our new baby arrived. It was the perfect spot for a few days to enjoy the beauty of the Ashokan Reservoir and the fun of Woodstock (only a 20 min Dr) Jim and May were so gracious, super communicative and were the perfect hosts. The outdoor space with a porch swing was so enjoyable for our little one. It was also super dog friendly which is so so hard to find up in the Hudson valley.

Cozy cottage

Celebrated our wedding anniversary with a weekend away here. Very convenient to pretty much everything in the area. Cottage was immaculate, comfortable, and quiet! Wind chimes outside captured a windy night like a little symphony (if you're a light sleeper I'd recommend ear plugs just in case!). I'd come back to Lily Cottage in a heartbeat if I was spending another weekend up here.

Relaxing girls weekend

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying at the charming lily cottage over a long weekend. The cottage is in a tranquil setting while being minutes from the reservoir, Woodstock, Kingston, and of course the wonderful hiking in the Catskills. The cottage itself is perfectly appointed with everything you might need and we loved the retro appliances. The bed is very comfortable and the outdoor swing made a Friday night all the more relaxing. Jim and May are gracious hosts who have thought of everything and we would love to stay again in the future!

Thoughtfully appointed

So often I've stayed in rental homes that look instagram worthy, but once you check in you can tell the hosts have never spent a night in the rental. Not so here! Every detail has been thought of, and it makes for a wonderfully comfortable stay. There's enough space for your toiletries, your groceries, and for your things. The kitchen has everything you need to cook some simple meals and there's no long list of chores to do before check out. I'm dreaming about my next stay in this lovely cottage already.

Best experience ever!

Melissa and James are wonderful people who go above and beyond to be gracious hosts. They were helpful when I needed medical care, assisted in unloading my car in the rain, and asked after my welfare! The cottage is perfect: clean, comfortable and cozy with everything needed for a great weekend. I almost hated to leave and hope to return. Thank you both so much!

Doesn’t get better than this!

From first contact to follow-up, Jim & Melissa were fabulously clear & communicative, super accommodating, and just overall sweet, kind, thoughtful folk! And their clean, comfy, quiet and convenient-to-our-needs cottage was ‘just what the doctor ordered’. I hope their Lily Cottage will be available next time i’m in the area… i’d love to stay there again!! Thanks so much you two!!🙏💕

First Family Getaway!

Lily Cottage is a sweet little gem!! This was first getaway as a family of three (4mo old daughter) and our beloved pup (20lb mini schnauzer!) Lily Cottage was the perfect cozy cottage to getaway for a long weekend. It had everything we needed (kitchen supplies, etc. to make a meal and a washer and dryer! (essential for a baby). The bedroom is able to accommodate a small pack and play or you could arrange it in the living space as well. Our dog also loved the small yard to get some zoomies out. Great location and short distance to Woodstock (great day trip to explore and walk around) and ample hiking trails including the Ashokan Reservoir- it was lovely.The owner, Jim, is very kind, friendly and helpful! We experienced some car trouble while we were out and I called him to ask about nearby mechanics/ tow trucks. He was eager to help and even offered to come pick us up! Luckily, our car issues quickly resolved, but he was there when we got back and helped us further. Just a wonderful, genuine individual. We had such a great time and are looking forward to returning later this summer for more hiking!

Ideal place to stay in the Catskills!

I couldn't recommend Lily Cottage enough. It's situated about 20 minutes from Woodstock and about 30 from New Paltz, so there's a lot to do, whether it's hiking or visiting shops and restaurants. You pass the Ashokan Reservoir on the way from Olivebridge to nearby towns and it's always a breathtaking sight. I recommend checking out the Davenport Farms stand for fresh produce on the way in. The cottage was very cozy, thoughtfully appointed, and immaculately clean. The cottage is stocked with just about everything you might need, but there's a Dollar General just ten minutes away too. Jim was very responsive and kind. We had no issues whatsoever, but I'm confident he would have been quick to respond if we had. Overall, it was the perfect stay! We're already dreaming about the next time we can visit!

Simple and unforgettable

My Gf and I celebrated our one year anniversary at Lilly’s Cottage. It was an amazing time. Very clean! Very well kept! Very updated! And super relaxing!!. We only got to meet Jim, he was so very pleasant and thoughtful. He made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. There was not one thing I would of Asked for to be different. We will forever remember this weekend and look forward to hopefully again in the future. Thank you very much!!! ASHOKAN see ourselves coming back here again ( inside jk if you visit the reservoir)

Cozy escape from NYC

My partner and I are teachers in NYC and wanted to take little break from the stress. This property and specific area is perfect for such an occasion. I was drawn by the simplicity of this property. It's in a quiet area, with many beautiful hiking trails in a close proximity. It seems very small on the outside, but is very roomy inside. The owners of this property are very attentive to detail. They communicated promptly with me and answered all my questions. The overall experience was very smooth and relaxing. I can't say anything went wrong, because everything was so well thought out. I appreciate everything that was provided to us and would recommend anyone visiting this place at any time of the year.
