Private Oceanfront, Pet Friendly, One Bedroom

This cozy and comfortable unit is one of two units located in a private home in a residential area on the Atlantic Ocean at Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, Florida. These two units, on the first floor of this home, provide a quiet, restful atmosphere far from the noise and activity of hotel or condo vacations.

The owners occupy the second floor, are available for any assistance, but are completely unobtrusive. The second unit in this home is a two bedroom and can be viewed at VRBO 221163. Rented together, eight guests can be accommodated. Please e-mail or call if interested in both units.

Each unit has its own private entrance, exits, grill, covered porches and decks.

This is a no smoking facility both inside and outside.

Located in a quiet residential area, this one bedroom, two bath unit provides a quiet and relaxing getaway to a beach that is never crowded. This unit was completely remodeled and features new appliances, furniture and jetted tub in the master bath.

The second bath is equipped with a roomy shower', Sliding glass doors from the living room open to the covered outdoor dining / sitting area. The attached sunning deck leads to the protective walkover to the beach.

My wife and I have stayed here several times, and are never disappointed. Brenda’s operation is first class, and strives to ensure every stay exceeds the previous stay. If you haven’t booked a vacation here, you are surely missing great accommodations and location.

Great location… just a quick walk over the dune to the uncrowded beach. It was a quick drive to nearby seafood restaurants and downtown shops. The accommodations were comfy - just right for a couples trip!

This was our third time enjoying our stay here. The apartment is in an awesome location with the beach just outside the back patio. Literally walk out the back door and onto the beach walkover. We had our small Chihuahua with us which she loved the place too. The check in and check out process is easy and stress free.

Everything was as advertised! Brenda and Jim have a great place and are very accommodating hosts. More than dog friendly, they are dog-centric!! Probably our best stay over the last six years.

Such a peaceful place. Thrilled to have fenced, pet area for our small dog to visit. Check out the mural as you walk into this haven. It's like staying with a good friend. Had books galore. Such a joy to find a place that truly has everything you need! And lots of things you'll want. Even special flashlights to avoid disturbing nesting turtles. Keep an eye out for cute sand bunnies on the boardwalk! We'll be back soon.

Another relaxing stay in Fernandina Beach! I have stayed at Jim & Brenda;s Pelican unit in the past. This is just a wonderful place. Very quaint but with everything you need. Right on the beach. The back deck, sun loungers, fire pit and walkway to the beach are done very well. My favorite place to stay when the area.

Perfect beach set up for two people. Wonderful ocean breezes while enjoying the covered lanai were a high point. Place was nice and clean and has everything you need appliance and utensil wise. The owners are present and friendly (living in the unit upstairs) but go out of their way leave renters alone but are available if needed for questions or assistance. Great rental !!

The property is very accommodating, pet friendly, clean, and convenient. The apartment has a beach vibe and you feel at home. Beach access is very easy. The property has been improved through the years. The host is available if needed, but never bothers you. This is my favorite place to stay in Fernandina.

We loved being steps away from the lovely beach. The apartment was so cute, comfortable and close to restaurants. Loads of towels, nice beach chairs and a super comfortable bed. Brenda was readily accessible when we had a question. Just a very enjoyable visit.

We had a wonderful time during our stay,(6) nights. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Has everything you would need, quiet dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Was very clean, master bath has nice jetted tub, second half bath has super large shower. It is decorated beautifully, Private back porch with nice gas grill, table & chairs, sofa and loungers on back porch, ( Enjoyed grilling and eating on back porch, nice breeze and ceiling fans everywhere) Owner provides beach chairs, umbrellas, everything needed for the beach and shelling. We were in the Pelican, one bedroom one bath with washer & Dryer, one half bath with large shower and living room sofa makes out into bed if you had a visitor. Nice private walkway to beach, hardly anyone around, Highly recommend. Host is very easy to talk with and answers very promptly.

We loved the place. Everything was at our disposal and thoughtfully laid out. We will definitely be back. The sunrises were gorgeous and shelling on the beach was so much fun. We loved the beautiful decor!

Amelia Island is a small, unspoiled barrier island with a beautiful Victorian village. Almost everything on the island is within five minutes drive. Locals are friendly and helpful. If you need a bigger city 'fix', Jacksonville is only 45 minutes away.

The ocean in all its changing moods. Beautiful sunrises, lovely moonlit walks on nearly secluded beaches. Privacy. Shore birds and dolphins.
