Our 2nd stay at the Steer - wonderful "base" for exploring all things that Wilmington has to offer. Excellent accommodations - great host - perfect location. Looking forward to our return visit in 2027,

We had a fantastic stay. We were totally comfortable and felt right at home. Could not ask for more. Great location in walking distance to plenty for bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend

What an amazing place to stay! I’ll keep the review short but could write paragraphs about how cool this place is and what it has to offer. Great location, excellent and friendly communication, very clean and comfortable, very cool interior design, wonderful amenities, etc…I’d encourage anyone coming to Wilmington to stay here and plan to do so next time we’re in town.

Steer on Dock was by far one of our favorite places we’ve stayed! Paula is a terrific host who’s very communicative and responds to any question or concern almost immediately. It’s well-decorated with an original theme and gorgeous furniture. It was clean, perfectly lit, and parking is private with a driveway. We traveled with our toddler and dog and couldn’t recommend this place more!! With a quick walk downtown, its location is perfect if you’re hoping to check out Historical Wilmington. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay! The hosts were fantastic—attentive and friendly. The home was well-stocked with everything we needed, and it was incredibly comfortable. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place!

Cutest Place Ever

This VRBO was so wonderful. We didn’t want to leave. It is so spacious and well decorated. It is super comfortable as well. We loved all the incredible original details and the modern amenities of the property. Would definitely stay here again!

UNC Wilmington Year 2 Getaway

This was year 2 drop-off for our Seahawk! I'm always looking for a place to stay for drop off, visits, etc.. Well, this is the best VRBO that I have ever stayed at! It is quiet, clean, comfortable and in a great location! I will definitely check to see if this place is available for my next visit

Absolutely perfect ! Artfully decorated, incredibly comfortable, brimming with history - couldn't have asked for a better place to turn a business trip/meeting into an extended stay overnight in Wilmington. Looking forward to breaking away again soon and making the "Steer" our base to explore all that Wilmington has to offer. Big thanks to the hosts/owners for restoring such a beautiful home and for sharing a small piece of their hard work and dedication to these magnificent structures with travelers who appreciate it. Thank you for the amazing stay! This location is gorgeous and in an amazing location while being immaculately clean and well-stocked while being easy to access. We appreciated how ultra dog-friendly it was since we were traveling with our small dog, Little Debbie. I highly recommend checking out out Paula’s recommendations because every recommendation was great! The neighborhood is gorgeous and was wonderful for our dog. Every need is met, the temperature of the apartment was perfect-even in the heatwave. We are also people who prefer to have a fan for sleeping year-round and every scenario of, “I wonder if I they have it?” Was met! I like a nespresso machine but my husband prefers drip, it was a treat to have both, because the coffee bar was incredibly stocked! While the apartment is great, the location is perfect. We checked out historic downtown, and while we loved the ability to have coffee at the house we enjoyed morning walks to get coffee with our girl, Little Debbie :)Thank you for the wonderful visit, we hope to return!

This location was beyond my wildest dreams ! It has absurdly cool decor. It was totally 1000% spotless. Seriously the three of us were in awe of the place. As well, the host has everything you would need! Numerous coffees and treats and toiletries, and wonderful books. You will not be disappointed with the booking!

Our stay was absolutely excellent. It exceeded all of our expectations! The apartment was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. Every detail made us feel comfortable and welcome.The host was amazing—friendly, responsive, and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. We really enjoyed The Steer on Dock. The 2 bedrooms were perfect size for our needs. It was a short walk or drive to anything we needed. The place was well maintained and had everything we needed. Thanks to the host for allowing a later check out so we could all shower after my daughter’s lacrosse tournament on a hot weekend. We would like to return when we are not tied up with a tournament.
