The neighborhood itself is not upscale and the alley entry is not ideal, but once in the house, all appeared as advertised. My group selected this house because of its proximity to Merrill Field for an early morning departure, so we didn’t stay long enough to check out the games and hot tub. For our purpose, the house was ideal.

The property is about 20+ minutes from Anchorage airport. The home is quaint in the sense that part of the lower floor is a garage conversion. A commode is stuck next to the kitchen in a hallway closet size room. One has to wash hands at the kitchen sink. The upstairs mid bedroom has the toilet and shower open to the room without a separation. Awkward at best. The master suite , bathroom and the upstairs sitting areas are appealing. The home can sleep 5 comfortably, 7 with kids.

This property was not at all what we expected. Part of it is in a garage, with a very sketchy bathroom next to the kitchen. The carpets in the garage were not very clean. They place had a smell to it, like cat pee. The rumba was set to go off at 3am which woke up my son sleeping downstairs. The property wasn’t clean by the 4pm check in. We arrived around 430 and they were just finishing up cleaning. The property was quiet, no issues with noise. Overall the owner was communicative and helpful.

Very accommodating hosts. Very relaxing and clean home. Everything you need and more. Conveniently located. Was enjoyable and would absolutely recommend.

Good, clean place to stay for a reasonable rate.

This property is not flashy for curb appeal, but a nice surprise inside. The bedrooms are very nice upstairs. The main floor is a bit of a "man cave", but very functional.

We had a party of 6. We did arrive 10 minutes early. The door was unlocked so we walked into the house. The bottom floor was still not clean. There was pizza box/trash. As we awaited outside for the house to be finished cleaning, we heard lots of sirens in the neighborhood. It was pretty scary and alarming for all of us to hear all the police arriving and catching the person about three houses down from vrbo. We were scared to death listening to the police apprehend this person and throw them on the floor and he was screaming crying because he was in pain. It was just too much drama as we arrived. This caused us all to be scared and afraid of the house we had rented. We tried to find another lodging but it was impossible to find something that late in the day. We were only going to be there like 12 hours. We finally got into our house and the lady did finish cleaning rapidly and we moved our suitcases into the bottom floor. Our party was so scared that two people slept on the living room couches because they were fearful to leave the bottom area where their suitcases were at. We were afrSid to leave for dinner. The house does not have air conditioning and we were a little uncomfortble.We were pretty worried ordering our Uber for 6:00AM because the only way they could pick us up was through the alley. We could not exit house thru the front. We were not happy. And wished we had gotten another place

Sorry your stay was so unpleasant. We will work on getting out of there sooner as far as the cleaning sometimes we get super busy.

The host never shared that the house is two different rentals & neglected to tell us that our access was in the back. A random neighbor showed my family the back access in the alleyway, which dragging luggage across gravel did not appeal. Calls to the host were randomly answered, they never did respond to my initial message through VRBO. Once inside the smell was nasty, fishy with some other funk. The game room was a converted garage, which the the posting didn't show. Something that bothered us the most was the door separating the garage & the upstairs had a big sign, door must be locked after 10pm. We wondered why that is. The shell casing out at the curb was another big red flag. And lastly the final straw was how rude the host was when we voiced our concerns. The outside of the house is certainly not in the best condition. We elected to go elsewhere. To be fair the place inside appeared clean & furnishings didn't look sketchy. But the smell & the location was a deal breaker.

Great place for families

Clean and inviting space. Plenty of room for the family to spread out. My kids loved the set up in the living room. Plus there are board games and toys for rainy days. Hot tub is such a bonus. My kids also loved that were was a near by park. They also think of things you might have forgotten like razors or wipes. Unrelated but make sure you check the address if you use location services for Uber eats. All around lovely place. Would book again.

Enjoyed Alaska

We enjoyed our stay in Alaska. This place was suitable and the bed’s are comfortable. The sofas very comfortable as well. The showers were nice too. The pictures were accurate. The neighbor was quiet and had a nice park just around the corner from this place. The only thing I must be honest is the instructions are bare minimum and there isn't any form to communicate other than this app. With the property manager. Also while we were sleeping we could hear airplanes and the train passing. Oh and there isn’t any A/C.
