We’re an outdoor family.
Pamela grew up beneath the Cotapaxi and Pichincha volcanoes in Ecuador. Scott grew up in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, on the Little Tennessee River.
Neither family had much - Scott’s Grandfather, an old boat and a renovated school bus for family camping. Pamela’s Aunt, a balmy ‘choza’ in the Amazon.
Today it’s clear, those memories in nature with our loved ones have endured. We’ve aimed to create that same special experience for you and yours here, at Bartram’s Retreat!

A gorgeous mountain lake, its morning calm interrupted only by the chirping birds, passing canoes, and a few early rising kids stoked to take on the day. There's deer, bear and fish. There's bike riding and trail walking. If this isn't enough... you're less than 15 minutes from many other great experiences, like whitewater rafting, trout fishing in the Chattooga, exploring waterfalls, etc.
