Relax with the family and/or friends at this peaceful and beautiful place. Our home is one of the first eight significant homes in Lake Forest Park with a grand view of Lake Washington. There's a 300 SF sunroom with a vaulted ceiling and 180 degree view of the lake where you can watch deer and bunnies grazing on the lawn, bald eagles flying, and seaplanes landing and taking off. Built in 1913, our home was once owned by the UW Dean, whose efforts established the Washington Park Arboretum.

The view was excellent. as we are from the east coast, it was weird to not have any air conditioning especially upstairs, and it took a little thinking to open the uniques windows, but we had a nice stay.

Overall, the house was great, very spacious and clean. Excellent view of the lake. One item that needs to be addressed is the odor/smell that hits you when you walk into the house. It is contained in the kitchen area, but it is very potent and does not leave a good first impression.

This rental has lovely views and is roomy, with a lot of space for the money. Eerything was clean. The check-in was easy and the owners very responsive and friendly. Our main problem was that there was a strong mothball smell. When I asked about this, Lukas's wife was at the property within 30 minutes removing the mothballs from the crawlspace under the kitchen window. This helped, but my wife (who is sensitive to odors) still would not go in the kitchen for the duration of the rental, even though we had windows open and the air purifier on the whole time.

Beautiful view, felt right at home

We enjoyed our stay very much! The home was clean, comfortable and peaceful. The view of Lake Washington was lovely. We loved watching the seaplanes take off and land on the water. We plan on staying here again!

Beautiful location

Can’t say enough about this property. Comfy beds, quiet location, beautiful views! We were in town for a family wedding and it was perfect!

Lake Forest Park with lake view

Very pleasant and comfortable house with a wonderful lake view. Close to shopping and restaurants. Host is very nice and accommodating.

Beautiful and unique home

Our family loved our stay at this home. It’s full of character and interesting nooks and crannies. Despite being near a main road, we never heard any street noise which made for a peaceful place to enjoy morning coffee. Lukas the host was very accommodating and communicative. Highly recommend!

A beautiful gem

We really enjoyed this peaceful home as a place to rest after long days at work. Though in the middle of the hussle it was a refuge. The views stunning and yes, we did see deer in the early mornings. A short walk to the grocery store was lovely as well.

Secluded Hideaway - Lake View Splendor & Comfort

My mother (age 88), her first cousin (age 91), myself and my niece (both adults) booked this home because of its proximately to Sea-Tac, Bothell and Whidbey Island & to attend my Uncle's memorial and visit with family. From the moment I started communicating with Lukas he was extremely responsive and even installed safety grab bars in the 1st floor bathroom. (He sent me a picture when the install was completed and mentioned he had done this for the "honored guests." He also removed an area rug on which they may have tripped.) The view of the Lake is exquisite; the home is beautifully decorated and with comfortable furniture (with arms on chairs and couches; not like the modern urban furniture you see in the trendy high rise environment.) There is an abundance of dish ware, cookware, appliances... just about anything you needed was there. The private road makes this a very special place hidden from the main road... where bunnies, birds, squirrels, deer, and even bald eagles are known to roam & thrive (we saw all but the bald eagles). The rooms are of good size and the bedding was plush and comfortable and the towels were of good quality. We ate breakfast each morning in the enclosed atrium watching the lake & hearing the chirping birds. The highway below is a white noise signifying life is going by but is unobtrusive. The seaplanes add to the charm. I'd definitely return if back in the area. And the note and welcome wine was totally unexpected. Well done, Lukas.
