Aloha E Komo Mai. Welcome to Waikiki Banyan Rental, our vacation rental condo at the Waikiki Banyan.

Our unit is a LEGAL short term vacation rental at the Waikiki Banyan. (Registered with the C&C of Honolulu, Permit # 2212-CCH-0749).

The Waikiki Banyan is one of Waikiki's most popular resort condominiums for vacation rentals, located one block from the beach in the heart of Waikiki.

** IMPORTANT: The Waikiki Banyan is currently undergoing a complete renovation of the 6th floor recreation deck beginning April 2025 and it is expected to take 10-12 months to complete. The project includes important structural work as well as exciting updates like a new pool, hot tubs, new lounge chairs, cabanas and umbrellas, All rec deck amenities, including the pool, will be CLOSED until approx. May 2026. We understand that these closures may impact your overall experience, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to enhance our shared spaces. Please note that, although our unit is on the opposite side of the building from the rec deck construction and 31 floors up, there will be noise in some areas of the building during the construction phase and the rec deck facilities will NOT be available for use during the renovation period.

Located on the 31st floor in Tower 2, our 1 bedroom corner unit is the perfect home away from home while vacationing in Waikiki and Honolulu. Enjoy the conveniences of a vacation rental by owner plus all the comforts of home in our completely renovated, 700 sq. ft. fully equipped and comfortably furnished suite. Free parking (maximum vehicle height 6') in our parking garage with 24 hour security and free High Speed fibre optic WiFi (wireless internet) is included with your rental. NOTE: Maximum vehicle height: 6 feet incl. roof racks etc. Vehicles over 6' in height will not be allowed entry into the parking garage.

Our condo is equipped with everything you need including Tommy Bahama beach chairs and beach umbrella, beach towels, snorkel gear, binoculars for the spectacular rainbows we get just off our lanai and anything else you could possibly think of.
PLEASE NOTE: The Waikiki Banyan is a 100% NON SMOKING complex. Smoking of any substance, including vaping or the use of e-cigarettes is NOT permitted in our condo, on the lanai, or anywhere on the Waikiki Banyan property.

Our suite has been completely renovated from top to bottom with brand new furniture and a new kitchen and bathroom reno in 2024. It has a separate bedroom with a King size bed and new (2021) Memory Foam mattress with windows on three sides to catch the tradewinds and the stunning views. Blackout curtains, a ceiling fan and an A/C unit ensure a cool, restful sleep.

The newly renovated kitchen has quartz counters, a window looking directly out to Diamond Head and is fully stocked with everything you could need including top mount refrigerator, full size stove/oven, microwave oven (all stainless appliances), rice cooker, Keurig coffee maker, blender, dishes, cookware, etc.

The spacious living room has a double size sofa bed, a love seat and a chair for plenty of seating. A large lanai with table and chairs offers fabulous, completely unobstructed views of the Koolau mountains, Ala Wai canal, golf course, and the bedroom and kitchen windows face Diamond Head. The lanai gets the morning sun and the afternoon shade and is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine. Our nighttime view is spectacular with the lights of the valley reflected in the canal.

Through a louvered door from the bedroom is the large, spacious bathroom which has a vanity area with quartz countertop, lots of storage, plenty of towels and a hair dryer so no need to bring your own. There is a glass door walk-in shower, and a Toto toilet with Washlet.

There is a 50” Smart TV in the living room with over 170 channels of full High Definition (HD) cable programming. The TV has all the streaming apps preinstalled such as Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc. for you to use with your own streaming accounts, plus HDMI input if you’d rather bring your own streaming device. There is also a Bose Bluetooth soundbar connected to the TV for stereo tv sound or for streaming music wirelessly from your own device. The porcelain tile floors keep the unit cool and easy to clean.

A coin-operated laundry room is just steps away, diagonally across the hall from our front door. There is a laundry room on every floor so machines are always available. The laundry machines take quarters or there is an app available to download to pay using your smart phone.

The recreation deck on the 6th floor (currently closed for renovation until approx. May 2026) is perfect for the whole family with a large heated swimming pool, sauna, 2 hot tubs, barbecues, children's playground, basketball and tennis court/pickle ball court and poolside snack bar. There is also a convenience store and an internet cafe in the lobby area.

*Important note: The hot tubs and pool are closed for annual maintenance usually during the first two weeks of May each year. We will advise of the exact dates each year as soon as they are scheduled. The recreational deck does remain open.

** As stated above, the Waikiki Banyan is undergoing a total renovation of the rec deck, including structural updates, a new pool and hot tubs, etc. All rec deck amenities, including the pool, will be CLOSED until approx. May 2026. Please note that, although our unit is on the opposite side of the building from the rec deck construction and 31 floors up, there will be noise in some areas of the building during the construction phase and the rec deck facilities will not be available for use during the renovation period.

While the Banyan is a child-friendly complex, our suite is located on the opposite side of the recreation and pool facilities (in Tower 2 or Mauka, facing the mountains), providing a more peaceful retreat for those who are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday.

We purchased our condo in 2012 and lovingly renovated it with comfort and relaxation in mind. We have just completely updated again in 2024. This is our home away from home and we look forward to welcoming you with aloha. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Mahalo Nui Loa.

We at part time residents of Hawaii and rent our place during the times we are back in Vancouver, BC Canada. We fell in love with the Waikiki Banyan and all it has to offer. We love the separate bedroom, gorgeous views and full kitchen. We knew we wanted to be on the quiet, cool side of the building, with views of the mountains, canal and Diamond Head. After much searching for the right unit, we bought our condo in January, 2012. We lovingly renovated it from top to bottom and have just recently (2023) renovated and modernized it again. We look forward to welcoming you to our home and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The Waikiki Banyan is one short block from world famous Waikiki Beach. We are a short walk to Kapiolani Park and the Honolulu Zoo. There are many shops and boutiques just a short stroll away and there is a bus stop right outside our door, with buses covering the entire island. Great cafes and world class restaurants are all within walking distance. We think it is the best location in all of Hawaii and the amenities are great.
