Nestled amongst 30 stunning 400-year-old live oak trees and situated on a deep water creek with a floating dock, The Hut boasts Southern charm and an unbeatable location just 1 mile from the Charleston Executive Airport. Relaxation is guaranteed with restful vibes and easy access to Downtown Charleston, Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. And for foodies, the local Lowcountry Gullah Cuisine won't disappoint. Don't trust Google Maps to show off the place; come experience our slice of paradise yourself!

This year, The Hut just got a little more charming with the addition of our own farmer, Caroline, who’s filling the fields with wildflowers and fresh seasonal vegetables.

Escape to the Hut Homestead for unforgettable family vacations or intimate weddings of up to 90 guests, for a nominal fee of *$2,500. Imagine saying your vows amongst 400-year-old live oak trees and picturesque views of the Intracoastal Waterway. To say the lease...a enchanting Southern venue.

Much more than we expected. This beautiful home is situated in a quiet corner of John’s island yet an easy 20 minutes to Charleston. We loved spending extended family time on the large screened porch. It was the perfect get Memorial Day getaway.

The kitchen was fully furnished and the whole house was clean and well furnished. The pets were happy there as well! Perfect location for three families to meet and visit!

This was a great place for two sets of grandparents, 2-year-old grandson and parent to spend a long peaceful weekend together. We all had our privacy, but the living space accommodated us and the two dogs well. The view from the screened porch was perfect. The only thing wrong was that we could stay longer.

We loved this absolutely charming home that had everything we needed. The location was perfect; convenient to everything downtown Charleston has to offer while also being just enough away from the hustle and bustle to have some quiet. The sunrises were spectacular and I found myself sitting on the dock with coffee every morning and a glass of wine every evening. I loved this so much!

We spent a long weekend on this property, and enjoyed both the beautiful land and the cozy home. We found everything that we needed in the kitchen, the bedrooms and the pantry!Jane was wonderful! We had no idea we were staying in the home of a Miss South Carolina!! And she’s an author to boot!! We will be back

The Hut is an amazing property! We enjoyed the water views and the cozy rooms. John's Island has many fun restaurants and it is an easy drive to Charleston. We loved every moment!

The marsh is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The home was dated but comfortable and spacious. We practically lived on the screened in porch watching the changing of the tides, the marsh birds, and the majestic sun rises.

South Carolina Getaway

This property was beautiful and peaceful. Close to Charleston to do sight seeing and there where beaches nearby. The owners were quick to respond. My family enjoyed staying here.

Thanksgiving in Charleston

Jane was very helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay again. We had a very nice time and were able to explore both the Johns Island area and beaches as well as historic Charleston (our first time in the area). All-in-all, we had a wonderful time.
