Newly remodeled with upscale furniture. Treat yourself to million dollar views in a amazing setting.

Enjoy breakfast or a family barbecue on the patio of the Lower Unit in the summer and watch the dolphins swim by or on a winter's morning enjoy your view of Catalina Island. First bedroom has a Queen-size bed with high end Casper bed mattress. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed. Sliding glass door opens to the patio which is on the boardwalk.

Great stay!

We rented this beach side house for 3 days. The accommodations were as described and the property was perfectly located for exploring the Balboa Peninsula. Doug, the owner was very friendly and called prior to our check in to review particulars of the property which was extremely helpful. He is a great host!We hope to stay again very soon.

Right on the ocean next to great bars and restaurants. Perfect to walk along the boardwalk or relax on the beach.

Great place. Just sit and enjoy the ocean. Or go around corner and pick several restaurants with great food. Chili Charlies and Baja Lobster thee best

Beachside Confo

The unit is a bit dated but nice. Location is great. Communication was smooth. We stayed at bottom unit and we had an inconsiderate neighbor upstairs. It was quite disturbing when they were walking and moving furniture at 5 am daily. Although Doug was a nice host and tried his best to help, rent the bottom unit at your own risk.

Perfect Location

Everything from the booking, check-in, and check out process was perfect. The location is amazing walking out the door to stroll the board walk, walk the pier, or go to a restaurant was simple and convenient. We can't wait to go back and bring the rest of the family.

Perfect Location!

We enjoyed our stay at this beach house so much! The owner communicated everything on how to get there and where to park. The location can't get any better either. The pier is steps away from the front door. There are tons of restaurants, surf shops, coffee shops, bike rentals, literally a few steps away. We really didn't need to drive too much because there was a lot to do in the area within walking distance. There was even a little farmers market on a Sunday that was selling all kinds of cool things nearby the house. Had an awesome time! Thanks Doug!

Just what I needed!

My happy place is Balboa, yet I haven’t been back in over 26 years & really planned for this 60th birthday. I came across this rental & it was everything that it said it would be. Cozy, right on the beach &very spacious for myself, my husband & my parents. The owner was extremely accommodating & answer all my texts & calls! We will definitely be back! It’s was perfect.

Relaxing at the beach

Property is in an amazing location and Hosts are amazing. We had an unexpected emergency the day of check in and they were very accommodating and kind! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Mattresses were broken down and need and need to be replaced. One of the fans was broken.

Beds were very uncomfortable (old) and need to be replaced. One fan was broken and an additional fan was needed.

Location! Location! Location!

From cleanliness, communication, and location this was it. Just steps away from the Pier and the ocean. You could even stay on the patio and listen to the waves or people-watch when you're ready to just relax. There is always something happening during the day and very quiet and serene at night. Water pressure in the shower was amazing and helped get the beach sand off without having to scrub! Definitely recommend and will stay again. Thanks for everything Doug on making this a successful family vacation.

Location, Location, Location!

This was a lovely 2 bedroom home with all the amenities! Our front patio faced the ocean. It was walking distance to the pier, restaurants and shops. We enjoyed every moment staying here!

Golf Vacation

This property is awesome. Location is perfect. It does need two updates. 1). TV is rather small and 2). Furniture is not very comfortable. But over all I would recommend this VRBO to everyone.

This property has the best location in newport beach not just because of being right on the beach althougn that is great but it is literally right in the middle of everything If u are coming to newport beach u have to stay here

Great for four people/Perfect Location

Loved the location, all communication was great, check in was easy and seamless. Everything we hoped for, for our family of four. Restaurants and shopping steps away. If there were any cons, it would be thats its a lower unit and any movement upstairs is pretty noticeable, especially at 6am. Also the cable/satellite only worked about 50% of the time. I assume it was somewhat weather related with high winds and rain off and on but TV was more of just background noise to an essential item for us. Not enough of an issue for us to contact owner or ruin our trip. Overall, happy with our choice and would definitely rent again in the future. Even with small issues, still a 5 star stay for us.

Best beach location!

Highly recommend this location, you can walk to everything, excellent people watching and beach access. We had so much fun sitting on the beach and patio, best spot on the path.

Anfitrión: Doug & Sandi Vanian

Sandi and I (Doug) got married in 1997. We lived in this beach house owned by my family for 5 years. As our family grew so did the need for additional space. We now live 10 minutes away. I'm currently CEO of the household :-) and look after the family property and my wife is a flight attendant with Alaska Airlines. We have the best of both worlds - when the property is not occupied by wonderful tenants we get to enjoy all it has to offer.
