Apartment was clean had a lot of room for our family. The parking pass was nice to get closer to the beach /outdoor pool area. Our host was quick to get back to any of my questions. Nice place to stay and the amenities of the resort were great.

Family friendly and nice place to stay however location was further away from the beach than portrayed. The check in process was confusing due to the proximity to condominium complex and their check in desk. Close to many shops and restaurants - within walking distance.

Check in was smooth and the accommodation was as described on line. Every room was spotless. This place could easily fit a family. Decor was current, simple and the place was clutter free.How ever, master bath sink faucet water pressure was lacking. We walked to the ocean beach, 1 mile round trip and into the town of Duck. Duck is charming, and we were there during the Jazz Festival, a sweet surprise. Several above average restaurants to choose from. We had hoped for more beach time but Mother Nature had other plans. Next time.

Cute space. The kitchen proved a little harder to navigate than I expected with a family of 4 to feed and no stove or oven but we managed to make it work. I did really miss the garbage disposal and dishwasher, though. The place had lovely sunset views and great lighting. Rooms and beds were comfortable with ample space. The one thing really missing was some sort of outdoor space to enjoy coffee or ice cream but we would definitely stay again. Parking pass for beach and pool access was a huge help!

The place was in a perfect location, with shops and restaurants within walking distance. It was also a quick walk to the beach with access to the clubhouse which was very nice. The house itself was perfect; it was very clean, spacious, accurate to description, and had more than enough amenities. Would 100% stay here again and highly recommend to anyone!

This property is clean and comfortable. The overhead lighting in the kitchen is bright fluorescent, so it's a bit harsh. Also, there were only 4 mugs in the kitchen, so one of us had to drink coffee out of a glass.

Great location - Lots to do

Our place was in walking distance of several restaurants and shops. The community had great beach access, an indoor and outdoor pool, a clubhouse and pickleball. It had everything we needed and we felt right at home.

Hi Vicki, Thank yo for staying at Gold Duck Rentals in 2025 we hope you join us again in 26' as we are making some upgrades, bigger TV in living, a King bed, a softer queen bed and a Queen over Queen adult bunk. We added large 55 in gaming TV to the bunk room too...

This spot is a gem! First time visiting the outer banks, so didn’t know what to expect. Condo is kind of randomly on the top floor of a business in a parking lot, but super nice and spacious inside. The beach is a 7 minute walk, probably faster if you don’t have two slow poke kids, and the clubhouse is a 3 minute walk (you can also drive and park at both of these). Super convenient to allOf Duck. Just FYI, as I didn’t really look at the essentials, there no dishwasher or stove. But there is a hot plate and toaster oven. Our family had a wonderful stay here.

This is an amazing apartment!! We decided to travel last minute and everything from the booking process to communication with the owner was easy. While we did not use all the Barrier Island amenities because it’s off season (and we own another home nearby), I can tell you they are convenient and great for families. We adore the sound side view and the sunsets were incredible. If you are looking for an alternative to renting a whole house, this is your best option! A note if you have any mobility issues, the stairs to get to the second floor are steep and there are two flights. Otherwise it’s super spacious (can easily accommodate a family or 2-3 adult couples) clean, private and comfortable! We will definitely book again when we need extra space for a family vacation!

Excellent Experience

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we were unsure of what to expect. The pictures and description of the property were accurate, and the property was excellent! We loved the beach charm decor and how spacious it was for a family of 5. The room with the bunk beds was kid friendly and had books and games for our toddler to enjoy. The pools, game room, and sauna were a plus. We also enjoyed the fact that the property was located on top of a cafe' (with no noise issues) and across the street from one of the top restaurants on the island. We had access to get smoothies and walk back up to our room each morning. Also, the property has an ocean view so we were able to see the sunset each night and walk the pier. The hosts kept us well informed and responded in a timely manner to questions we had during our stay.

We had a Saturday check-in at the house we’re staying in for a week but arrived Friday, so only stayed one night with 3 people. Location is great, right in the middle of Duck with a really good smoothie cafe on the first floor. Front bedrooms get some road noise since you are right on Route 12, but other than that, the place was as described in other reviews. We didn’t get a chance to check out any of the amenities at the resort it is connected to, but they looked nice.

The floors were very sandy and the coffee maker on the counter didn’t work. We found another coffee maker in the cabinet that did work, so that was good! Overall we throughly enjoyed our short getaway!
