Welcome to our home, Coastal Escape. We love the peace and quiet here, overlooking Mantel Lake—though it's really just a large pond. We enjoy watching the ducks, the blue heron, and all the birds that stop by.

Our home has a large deck, patio with a covered Hot-Tub, BBQ, outdoor furniture, fully fenced.

We have an EV charger, beach supplies, ping pong, foosball, bikes, 3 Smart TV's, indoor gas fireplace and lots of great spots to read a book and relax.

Easy walking to beach and promenade.

* Pet-friendly (limit of two dogs - must be one year and spayed or neutered)

This was a perfect stay for me and my 6 siblings. We were able to entertain our local cousins who were staying at a hotel in the area. Lots of space inside and out!Walking distance to the beach where we searched for sand dollars, had fun shopping and eating locally. Location was perfect.

This was the first time my family and I have rented a beach house. Every step of the process went smoothly from booking the rental, making the payment, checking in to checking out. The house was clean and had every item you’d need while staying there from the kitchen to fun items you’d like to take to the beach. Oh, and my dog was welcome. I’d give this rental 2 thumbs up.

This VRBO worked out perfectly for a great family gathering.We enjoyed Seaside fireworks out on the deck, visible through the trees.We had much fun playing football.

Very clean, quiet and relaxing home. Just blocks from the promenade and a good walk to downtown. The deck was a great spot to view the wildlife around the pond.

What a gem of a find. The home is great. So many places inside and out to hang out as a group or everyone to have their own space. To add, everything was nice and clean. The bedrooms are large and with three bathrooms, no one has to wait. The kitchen is well stocked. The best part is the outdoor deck that is right on the pond. We basically lived there the entire stay. You get to watch the birds fly in and out and its so nice and quiet. BBQ on the deck with cocktails. We didn't even go into town to eat. We will be coming back. Also, the hosts Malia and Arnie are very responsive and helpful. I loved that they also had dog dishes and towels ready. Our dog loved the place too. :)

Beautiful coastal vibe with all the things you need for your stay and more. The house was clean and large with plenty of room for our family to spread out. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood, with a beautiful deck overlooking the lake and a close walk to the beach. The bikes were a huge bonus and enjoyed by the family. We also loved soaking in the hot tub. Check in and communication with the owners was seamless. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing Seaside getaway.

House has lovely views - the hot tub, fireplace, fire pit and beach items were enjoyed by the whole family. The beds and linens are very comfortable and the decor was coastal and a vibe. They have a lot of kitchen appliances, making cooking easy, the location is very close and easily walkable to the beach and the house is also close to a park, which was great for the kids. I'd definitely stay here again.

Me and my family stayed here with our dog and had such a great stay! It was beautiful inside and out. Plenty of room for 6 of us. My daughter especially loved riding the bikes around the block and to the market close by. We loved seeing what birds came to visit the lake as well. Check in was easy and getting in touch was the best experience I have had. We stay at the coast once a year and this has been our favorite and plan to be back. It was also clean and very welcoming. We're so glad we had such a great home for our yearly trip.

This is truly beautiful property. Everything was immaculate. The kitchen was very well equipped for preparing meals. The location is good with easy access to food and fun.our grandchildren loved the hot tub and would use several times daily. The weather was not conducive to using the wonderful deck as much as we would have liked. We have stayed at many similar properties around the country, this could be very elite with a personal gift from the area such as a local coffee, a bread or a local bottle of wine.We highly recommend and would stay again.

This is a lovely house with a very beautiful view of the pond and a wonderful garden. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out and relax and enjoy the beach get away. It’s a nice walk to the promenade and beach and about a mile walk to the center of town.

Our stay was magical! Easy walk to the beach, beautiful landscaping, quiet safe neighborhood. Loved the deck and watching blue herons, ducks and racoons on edge of water. The large hot tub was a great bonus. The kitchen was more stocked than any house we have ever rented. Really appreciated the impeccable cleanliness of entire house. Beds were super comfortable. Also enjoyed the bonus amenities of bikes and beach wagon! Many other fun gear we didn’t use. Host was very responsive and easy to deal with. If we come back to seaside we would absolutely rent this home again!

Beautiful house, cozy living spaces. Large beds and bedrooms. 4 stars because there were a lot of rules. Rules that were aggressive with threats of charging money for breaking them. They made us feel like we had already done something wrong before even getting there. A lot of rules to sift through, a lot of common sense rules. It felt like they've had their house mistreated in the past. Have restricted hours (6am - 9 pm) on when you can use the hot tub is wild. I'm paying to stay in a house with a hot tub. If I wanted restricted hours I would stay in a hotel. Also, texting me while I'm on vacation asking when I'm going to be out of the house left a bad taste in my mouth. I would stay again but the hosts need to chill a bit.

Our guests are very contentious, but the City of Seaside do get lots of complaints from late Hot tub use. We are so fortunate to share our home with visitors so to keep our permit in good standing, following the cities rules are of high priority. I've looked through our house rules, and we only mention charging for Dog Poop. :) Many guests find texting a more convenient communication instead of logging into an app for information and communication. This house was perfect for our family of 6 and small dog. We were impressed with how clean it was and appreciated all of the beach amenities at the house. The location is great being within walking distance to the beach and town but also feels separate enough from others with a relaxing getaway vibe with the nature preserve lake in the backyard. So if you want to stay or go out you will have a wonderful time either way. We also had a minor issue and the hosts were able to be reached first try and the problem was resolved right away! We would definitely stay here again!

The home was great for a family meet up of 6 adults and 2 kids. The neighborhood was quiet and a peaceful backyard/back deck to enjoy watching the birds and ducks. The home was very clean. A short walk to enjoy the beach. It was everything we needed.

The house was super clean and very well taken care of. The only minor issues we found were as follows...Firepit- lit but wouldn't stay litBBQ side burner was broken. Just needs the middle piece re-attached.Everything else seem to be fine. Overall the house was perfect! Thank you!

Malia was raised in Honaunau, Hawaii in a little town south of Kona. We love raising our daughter Pualani on the lovely Oregon Coast. Our business area includes Gearhart, Seaside, Cannon Beach & Arch Cape. We enjoy walking around the beaches year-round, swimming in the creeks during the summer warmer months, or surfing. Some of our favorite hiking spots are Oswald West and Ecola State Park from Crest beach to Indian beach. Everywhere we go we see someone we are connected to. From going to the post office, grocery shopping, having a meal, or just shopping. Which is why we started our business Kukui House Services here. Kukui means “light” in Hawaiian. Kukui “Light” House Services. We help owners with their rental or private home, and our guests so they experience a wonderful stay. Our clients tell us we are friendly, have quality cleans, and are responsive.
