Experience the island charm of Sunset Beach in this newly remodeled beach cottage --JUST ADD WATER. This 2nd row home was completely updated in 2013 with all modern amenities, but it still retains its bungalow feel.

Inside you will find a bright, cheery and comfortable atmosphere - perfect for unwinding at the beach! The whole house was remodeled including a new kitchen. It is conveniently located across from a handicap beach access.

After a day of sun and fun, wash off your sandy feet in the spacious outdoor shower---with hot & cold running water. Enjoy a family dinner or a cold drink while watching the sunset from One of our 3 OUTDOOR spaces: Ocean-facing screened-in porch (with rocking chairs and chaise lounges), OR large outdoor back deck OR upstairs Widow's walk.

This home is dog friendly - so bring your best friend! Pet gates have been installed at each deck entrance.

Please note our house amenities include WiFi; Cable TV; DVDs and Stereo with CD Player. Also included for use during your stay are beach cart, beach chairs and a cooler.

Great location

This cottage was very close to beach access so it was convenient to set up and then go back to the house for lunch. It was well provisioned and the bedrooms and multiple decks were very cute. The latching Gates on the deck made it great for a dog (or potentially a small child) to safely be outside without worries of escape. The owner was in regular contact with us from the time we requested the reservation and met us for check in. The town is very quiet and the beach is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Great time at the beach

The house is exactly as advertised. It's in a perfect location - just a 2 minute walk to the beach. The house is clean, well organized and it has everything you need and more. The host is friendly and very responsive.

Making core memories at Sunset Beach, NC

We had an amazing stay at this charming beach house! The house was incredibly clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, making it an ideal spot. Jan, the owner, was super friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this wonderful rental to anyone looking for the perfect beach getaway at Sunset Beach, NC.

Summer Vacation

Loved the house directly across from the beach with a walk way out to the beach. House had everything we needed. Enjoyed the screen porch and reading in the swing. Highly recommend.

The name says it all..JUST ADD WATER!

We just finished our vacation at Just Add Water. I have been vacationing at Sunset for 30 years; since I was a child. This is the first vacation home rental that I can say was absolutely perfect in every way. Jan greeted us cheerfully at the property upon arrival and showed us around. I have never entered a cleaner vacation rental!! It was AMAZING! From extra dog bowls, to bath mats, boogie boards, and yard games her home had it all! The home was well appointed with everything- I mean everything- needed for a low key family beach vacation! Our 2 pups enjoyed the gated deck space, especially the roof deck! My husband and I enjoyed the screened porch during the evenings as our kids played in the front yard. Our two kids (age 12 and 10) were thrilled to find a lovely welcome basket with lots of treats after our long trip, which they promptly tore into! Many thanks again to Jan for opening her cozy home to other family’s to enjoy a great vacation in. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Wonderful beach escape!

Perfect for our family. It was a fantastic location with unexpected extras that we have not experienced in our past beach rental homes.Jan was gracious and a pleasure to talk to. Highly recommended! Best outdoor shower ever!!

Perfect Vacation

We loved this property!! It was close to the beach, well stocked kitchen, had all the necessities and extras you might need - extra beach chairs, beach toys, coolers, umbrella, beach bags, etc. Will definitely be back to stay again.

What a wonderful stay!

When we arrived we were greeted by Jan and showed the property. A phenomenal stay for 5, we enjoyed every area of the property and found the accommodations just perfect. 4 total outdoor areas including crows nest and table in the carport area gave everyone room to move and have space. Our little dog enjoyed the deck areas and we were at ease with lockable gates at all access points. We were very pleased with this cottage but just wished we had used the outdoor grill for dinners. Maybe next time… and there definitely will be a next time. Can’t wait to return.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our time at Just Add Water. Jan was extremely friendly and accommodating. The house was in a great location right across from 4th street boardwalk. The outside shower was our favorite thing. Hope to stay again soon!

The Percect Beach Cottage

This was the perfect beach cottage for our family and we were able to bring our golden retriever for the first time! From the welcome basket of snacks to the generously appointed kitchen everything was provided for our Sunset Beach stay. Jan met us and explained details of the property. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home. So much more than a standard rental, we will be back!

Perfection!

We had a wonderful week at “Just Add Water” in June. The house is adorable, super clean, and well equipped. We spent hours enjoying the screened in porch (I drank my coffee out there every morning). We brought our English Bulldog, and he had a blast hanging out with my husband and and son downstairs. He loved watching everyone go by. The walk to the beach was a breeze with the handicapped access right across the street. We all used the outdoor shower everyday…so refreshing and convenient. Jan was the perfect host! I was so impressed that she went out of her way to call us directly to get to know us a bit and tell us about all the great things her home has to offer. She also welcomed us with some yummy snacks and a lovely card, which was a really nice touch. The house isn’t huge, but it was perfect for us! We definitely want to come back! I highly recommend this adorable beach house!!

Cozy Beach Cottage

A rare gem in Sunset Beach—small cottage that “lives big” and accepts dogs! We had such a great stay and could not imagine a more well-appointed vacation home—the kitchen had everything you would need and more. This home has been lovingly restored and well cared-for—and so clean! Loved the outdoor shower and other great porch/deck spaces too-the gates around the decks were perfect for keeping our dog safe. Jan is a gracious host who stayed in touch throughout the process. Highly recommend this place!

Cute Sunset Beach Cottage

The location is great, with easy access to the beach. You can see and hear the ocean from the screened-in porch. It is a very well-appointed rental and the property owner went above and beyond to make our stay special.

Our family stayed at sunset beach this year for our annual trip to sunset beach. We stayed at this sweet beach cottage and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience! The house was so sweet, very clean, and the perfect size for a family of 5! It’s close to everything which makes it that much better! Jan was the best host and made sure we had everything we needed and then some! You will not regret a trip to sunset beach or a stay at this house!

Just Add Water and your Family

We spent a delightful week on Sunset Beach. The house is an original beach cottage but restored to quaint beach decor to lull you into a vacation frame of mind. Jan is a fantastic hostess and is readily available. She left a welcome basket of snacks and water. The house is well stocked, flashlights, batteries, games, throws, beach supplies and books. We brought our two dogs and they enjoyed the secure locked gate decking outside. We enjoyed the comfy beds and screened porch. The beach is less than a two minute walk. We would definitely stay again. This will become “our” place at Sunset.
